tbh blackbeards introduction was pretty good, him and luffy being polar opposites was great for foreshadowing that he’d (probably) be luffys final opponent

If we pay attention, Blackbeard is just like Luffy, just saying whatever shit comes out of his mind, always getting bodied once or twice before he finally comes out on top and everything working out for him in the end. Just like Luffy he got a great fleet, but unlike Luffy he gets full advantage of it. And in the eyes of world gov he went from fraud to menace real quick. He is just Luffy if he knew what a real pirate is and still wanted to be the king of them.
It's such a cool concept for a protagonist and what I assume is gonna be the final villain. Oda is the goat

My theory is that Blackbeard’s ability doesn’t just cancel out his opponents devil fruit defense but also his own. Obviously he doesn’t want to broadcast that weakness. So it looks to us like fraud but he’s actually one of the toughest characters because he’s tanking devil fruit hits with nothing but skin and bones.
People still sleeping on Blackbeard better wake up or they gonna keep taking Ls. This man ate the same attack that broke Big Mom's bones and he was laughing about it seconds later. He's a freak. Even pre-timeskip he face tanked a quake from Whitebeard who put Akainu on his ass just seconds earlier, then took two attacks from a serious Sengoku point blank and got up laughing. And recently he absolutely no diffed Boa Hancock and sonned Seraphim Mihawk which Zoro is struggling with on Egghead. And we haven't even seen this dude actually TRY. He just goofing off and playing every fight.
Don't forget, even Rayleigh Said he probably couldn't take blackbeard. Who is basically rigers' zror..

Honestly my favorite part about Blackbeard is how hard he gets his ass beat before getting the win. If his logia worked like normal instead of doubling how much pain he felt, he'd really feel like a fraud. But seeing this man get the brakes beat off him by almost everyone he goes against really makes him feel like a man on a mission instead of some unstoppable force.

What I love about Blackbeard is that both he and Luffy are running speed-run strats.
Every other yonkou or major player has been at this for years or decades, building up massive fleets, armies and countries.
But Luffy and Teach? They skipped the tutorial, kept their beginner gear and made it to endgame in a fraction of the time 😂
Ya know, I like to think Blackbeard's gonna be a red herring type of villain. We haven't seen any serious feats of Haki from him and his two devil fruits, while said to be the strongest, can be negated by Luffy's complete mastery of every type of haki and his rubber body (Haki negates the Darkness Fruit, Rubber body negates attacks that don't slice) so Luffy in base with the Haki he was using against Kaido could pack up Blackbeard, assuming he can't fully use both the Darkness and Quake fruit simultaneously.

Blackbeard is trully Luffys reflection. Both of them portray themselves as goofy imbeciles that should not be taken seriously before actually demonstrating their actual Power and skills
I especially love how active he is in the manga now, he doesn't just sit on his ass, the guy went around the One Piece world to get what he wants. Guy went Amazon Lily, then Whole Cake Island and last time we saw him he sneaked up on Law to collect his poneglyph rubbings.

I think Blackbeard surpassed both Aizen and Madara in my eyes in terms of long term gain. This is because he shows up as just an average pirate but gives off a motivating speech for our heroes. But something’s off; Both Zoro and Luffy can see it, but what is it? He then proceeds to execute probably the quickest rise to Emporer Status in history.
