@alinutza24 truth is, this is gypsy music that recycles balcanic motifs, therefore also Romanian indeed, but also Hungarian, Bulgarian, Serbian, aso.Nevertheless this IS NOT romanian folclore. This is gypsy music 100%. You can compare it to blues, to a certain degree, as it emerged out on the same basis: the music of the slaves, that mixes all sorts of musical styles in order to create something new and original, with a lot of "pain and soul" so to speak. SO, THIS IS NOT ROMANIAN FOLKLORE.

Its spelled with 2 "r" rromans that's their recent name. We call them "tigani" that's their real name. I don't know how exactly it came that they are called rromans, but that's very confusing for the rest of the world because the romanian people are called "romani" and we don't like to be confused with them.

in my country we call gypsys as "roman" almost all of them came from romania, and their music same as taraf. i like gypsys and their music. +
