I don't know how exactly it came that they are called rromans, but that's very confusing for the rest of the world because the romanian people are called "romani" and we don't like to be confused with them.

This is gypsy music 100%. You can compare it to blues, to a certain degree, as it emerged out on the same basis: the music of the slaves, that mixes all sorts of musical styles in order to create something new and original, with a lot of "pain and soul" so to speak. SO, THIS IS NOT ROMANIAN FOLKLORE.
