@ YES OMG I WAS LIVID!! they probably wanted to stay true to the ioc and isu guidelines, but i still wish there was some type of mod that allows same-gender partners

All of you guys did such an incredible job in showing how Sonadow Generations really helped and changed us wholeheartedly. I agree that Yuri On Ice!!! deserves better, but hey.. Sonadow is there born to make QUEER HISTORY!! This is seriously the best Sonadow analysis video I've ever seen after this Christmas season 🎁🌈

This is a wonderful video! I always felt like shadow specifically can be heavily reacted too by gay (and trans) people. A lot of his character is about finding his identity, and trying to figure out if he should stay true to himself or follow other people. In a lot of his games he’s being told (or tricked) to do something (normally destroy the world) but he’s also always plagued by Maria’s wish in a way that (as shown in shadow generations) brings a lot of anger to him, despite how good intention she was while making it. I find that (especially from a trans perspective) it’s easy to give into others, to start not correcting them when they say the wrong pronoun, or telling anyone about it just because you start thinking it’d be easier for others that way, even when it’s disregarding your own emotions. Shadows character is all about being different and embracing himself for it, which is easy to see how it strongly relates to queer people. But even if he’s accepted himself he seems to still be on a downwards spiral in generations (which I also think many queer people can relate, problems don’t stop after you realize or even accept yourself, if anything it can be somewhat harder at times) And having shadows family in generations support him is very sweet. Hope that made sense, I love shadow so much and as a trans person he’s a very dear character to me, wonderful video by the way! I love how you compared it to other stories!

I am the "I can fix him" crowd for Black Doom. Pre-Shadow Generations, I was THE ENTIRE "I can fix him" crowd for Black Doom... He is somehow both the religious obsessive father who seeks to control their son, and somehow accidentally sorta "gay dads" alongside Gerald. Kameno-o; I'd be extremely indebted to you if you super-chatted a question on the LAST EVER SONIC BUMBLEKAST LIVESTREAM that is coming on the 28th (this Saturday) which asked: "Would you agree with the statement that, prior to Shadow Generations, Twilord was the fandom's strongest soldier for what has blossomed into the entire "I can fix Black Doom" crowd?"
@@Kameno-o Its honestly nice to see him finally getting some love. He's such a fascinating character to me because I feel like, in a funny way, he and Gerald are almost the opposite flavours of "toxic reaction to a hostile world". Gerald works so hard to put on the face of being nice, while his inner life is more problematic and curdling. Meanwhile Black Doom would never acknowledge that he has any positive sentimentality; but if Shadow chooses to be a part of his inner circle he'll sacrifice the food-source he worked so hard for to Shadow's vengeful therapy. Gerald meets tragedy, like his family rejecting him over his failure to save Maria, with a smile that hides brewing toxicity. Black Doom meanwhile is watching his community be torn apart by the starvation inflicted by the uncaring void, and he just turns toxic in response and pretends he doesn't have a heart - trying to get Shadow to embrace that toxicity too. To me, that makes them an amazingly amusing ship. (Plus its cool that Shadow will tear down the world and harness his righteous anger, but not the toxic fury.)
