Omg.... I love it!!! It actually makes you look much much younger. You look so pretty with the dark tone.
Oooh, I LIKE that! 😘😘😘
I agree! It's a great look for you!
@@JeniferJenkinsBeauty I was going to say same thing. I think it makes you look younger. So do you mix the 2 colors together in the same bottle or prepare each and use both separately? You said you had left over bottles in cupboard from last time and thought you were supposed to throw them out when finished? because they go bad or whatever. maybe I am misunderstanding.
I love you actually do it yourself! Your frugal like me. I have saved tons doing my own coloring, cutting, acid peels, manicures, pedicures etc! It’s possible to learn it all yourself! Plus I’ve been to soooo many salons and was never happy.
Same here! Good for you!! I've spent way too much money at salons and walked out very unhappy. I do my hair color myself and get a lot of compliments.
I admire you! I’m starting my budget for the rest of the year, so I’m doing it all myself too. One question….where do you get the product for the acid peel and how can I do it? Thank you 😊😊
Great comment! PLUS, they burn your hair. They do not care about the condition of your hair if they get paid, that is it. Had my hair burned OFF by the guy that's been doing it for 10 years, he was checking his stocks. It took 4, FOUR years and about $3k to keep fixing it with 7 hours a week of at home conditioning treatments. UGH.
Great video! I’ve been looking for this exact thing, and you have dine it beautifully. Not a bunch of talking for the sake of talking, no distracting music, no speeding up ... just step by step. HOWEVER... I really wanted you to show us the back, and to lift up your top layer of blonde to show where you painted underneath. I only see some slight root shading, and a darker long piece at. Bottom. You crack me up, as you speak exactly my words every time I do this myself. You’ve definitely got a new and loyal fan! Thanks so much !
Just in case you didn't know...be careful with the ash colours. Ash is blue based and when you put it on blonde hair it typically always goes slightly green- try getting a natural base colour- e.g. 7.0 and mixing that equal parts with an ash and you will get a more neutral colour :)
Yeah true I tried it too and my gosh green greyisch. Not pretty at all. Next time I will try also a natural tint!
Thank you!! My roots have been coming out greenish and I haven’t been able to figure out why… You just saved the day!
Some ash is green based and some ashes are now violet based so no issue with going green there. She uses this color often so thinking this is violet based.
What is you already have used a permanent colour over your blonde foils to fill it? I used a number 6 dark blonde over foils and now it's kind of strawberry blonde. If I use the Revlon light ash brown dobyouvthink it will go green?
Ya I don’t like it & made my hair look gray
It looks so amazing, Jenifer! It really brings out your eyes! Great job. You have a real talent for making women feel like they can tackle beauty at home rather than run to the salon. Thank you!
I love it! It really adds so much dimension! But let's be real, you could pull of any hair colour!
I really like it. You would even look great with it darker.
Awe thanks girl! 🤗💕
Yes l. Thought in the thumbnail it was darkened, looked amazing too...
Tracey Nesbitt...I thought that too. But she would look beautiful with any hair color.

Jenifer, you are a breath of fresh air! I love your videos and this one was no exception. Your hair turned out beautiful! ♥
You always crack 😅 me up whether it be your hair colors or eyebrow tattooing ect. I give you so much credit for always stepping out of the box by trying new things & showing us:)) I like the hair color on you but then again you look so pretty both ways.

Thank you Eleanor! I'm a DIY kinda girl for sure! 😄😘
You inspired me to do my hair and WOW I love it! Watched many videos of how to lowlight however your instructions were by far the simplest - so happy I found you ❤ . Thank you so much.
Thanks Jenifer that really helped a lot , I love the way you do your hair.
I love the way it turned out Jenifer. I've never watched a video when someone added low lights to their hair. Thank you for showing us how to do it!! Blessings, and love..MaryEllen
Looks great!! Well done. I love a good shadow root/smudge and lowlights. It makes your hair look like you were born that way. 🌞 Jennifer
Your new colour Looks great !I colour my own hair since you showed me how to do it on your earlier videos definitely have more control and so much cheaper thanks Jen x
It looks really good!!! I think even darker would be great. The darker hair makes your fair skin and green eyes stand out sooooo much more; beautiful!👌🏼💗
Love how it turned out!! Looks great, going to do this to mine today!
I love it! Looks like you had it done professionally ❤️❤️
The color makes your hair look thicker. I love it.
Yeah, it looks great! The brown brings out the color in your eyes.
Thank you so much Kim! 💖💖
Completely agreed with you. The brown color makes her eyes brighter.
I love how your hair turned out!!! Looks beautiful on you!
Thank you!💕 I was a little worried. 😘💕
I love it! I just highlighted my hair myself, due to the pandemic, but I need to add low lights. You’ve given me courage! Thanks!
Wow I love it! It added so much dimension!
I like it, a good transition to fall! Makes your hair look healthier and shinier. Thanks for sharing these at home hair dye tutorials.
Thank you Tammy! It's fun to play with subtle changes for the season! 💕💕
Thank you for sharing Jenifer Jenkins. The hair is looking lovely.
Thank you so much! 💕💕
I like the darker color on you. It makes your eyes brighter! 💕
Looks fantastic and I love that you either love it or hate it but that's typical for home AND remember nothing is forever!!
Love it! Your eyes pop and its just really natural looking and has depth. Also compliments your skin tone. Great job!
Thank you so much!! 🤗💜
You did a great job coloring your hair. It looks beautiful Jenifer!

I too like it. The contrast is really nice!
I love it...I think it makes you look younger!! GORGEOUS!!
I love how you are, just so naturally , and talking .....with us...and I laughed and felt like I was right in that room with you...and when you looked in the mirror and said....I look creepy I laughed and then said outloud....oh who cares.....just make sure you get all of those roots haha like I was right there with you doing your hair with you..and then....I loved! the way you do this technique......it made me brave to want to try it myself....and save $200 that I would spend in the salon...you are so beautiful.....even with your hair all in a mess......thank you for helping us all find ways to stay beautiful on our own....and your hair came out gorgeous!!! the thing is.....you can pull off a darker brown or even a black and look gorgeous.....but I think your blond suits your complexion and skin tone......this deeper brown looks amazing on you....
Oh wow, it turned out really pretty!
It looks so good!
I love it! It works real well on you.
You are so brave! I have only ever done a single color. Looks good!
Love the contrast and you're still blonde. You look gorgeous 💕
OOh, I like this! I think the darker looks great on you! It looks healthier, shinier and the color just suits you better! Great job!!
Awe, thanks so much Tara!! 🤗💗💕
Your hair looks great! You would look fantastic as a brunette or a blond or both! Thanks for showing how you add low lights. Makes me want to give a go. Have a wonderful Labor day weekend! ♡♡♡
I think it looks great girl ! I saw this video a long time ago and am now using it as i do my lowlights as an instruction ing video so THANKS !
Omgosh it looks awesome !!
I absolutely love this! I may try this myself!
I think it turned out really pretty. I wish I could do my hair I have to go to the salon and it cost me a fortune, great job!
Ohhhhh I LOVE IT!!! It really did add some dimension to it! I am really excited to see it after you add some more dark streaks to it! But of course, you look beautiful no matter what!! 😀
Thanks for doing this video. This is exactly what I needed to see and there aren't many good videos out there for doing your own lowlights and covering gray roots. You made it look easy, so I went to Sally's and am now going to do it myself. My hair is just too blonde and I'm tired of it. I'm adding a darker blonde and just hope it works out as well for me as it did for you.
Jenifer - you look fabulous, don't change a thing....so unique, and thanks for giving me some useful ideas at home, cheers!
It looks great Jenni. I love it. You've still got enough blonde to still look like YOU. The dark makes it real trendy. X💗
Lol! Thank you! I went all in once and I seriously did not recognize myself every time I looked in the mirror. 😘😘
Wow! Your hair looks so pretty. I love the way it turned out. 💜💜💜
Thank you so much Paulette! 💕💕
@Jenifer Jenkins thank you so much for this!! Your hair came out so gorgeous, exactly how I want mine. Fixin to try... please wish me luck. 😍🌹
You've got guts doing your hair, every video I've watched where you put in the darker is SO good on you, so classy a little darker.
You look gorgeous! You did a great job❤️
Looks great Jenifer!!!
Omg this worked wonderfully ty for the upload
Love your shirt !!! Super cute
Looks great thanks for the inspo!
You did a great job! It looks very nice.
Love love love your video, great job
Love it!!! I love darker roots for sure!!
Thank you so much! 💕💕
It looks really nice!!!
Love it and your loose easy way of doing it. Thanks!
I love it so much!!!
I love it and will probably try this on my own hair! The darker color looks real good on you! Great 👍 job!
Thank you so much Sheila! 💕💕
It looks beautiful!
I think I would live with it for a few weeks before doing ANYTHING different with it. Looks CLASSY to me.
Great job i love it!
Thank you for the tips . Coloring my own roots is a challenge. I’m getting better the more I watch others and do it myself.
Very pretty Jenifer! As you said it will lighten with each washing, at least mine does. I do something similar at the end of the summer as my hair gets over-lightened by the sun. You always look beautiful. XXOOX
It looks great!
Ive dyed my hair ash blonde and use purple shampoo love the colour silvery and great for covering grey! 😊 but at first my hair seemed dark so wasn't sure. Looks nice you suit the colour.
Hi Jenifer, I really like it. You do a great job mixing the colors.
Thank you Cindi! 💕💕
Wow it looks great!!!
I like it! I think I'm gonna try this.
You are gorgeous and your hair looks amazing! I will definetly try this tks so much for sharing
Thank you so much!! 🤗🌺
It looks great!!
I like it. You did a great job and it flatters your skin tone. Younger looking!
That looks good girl!
The dark makes you look much younger!! Nice job!
I really like the way it turned out and think you look really pretty🌹
You look gorgeous with this new color! For me, your tutorial was timely because I had been thinking about going darker with my hair for awhile. I think I will try your technique and do some low lights the way that you showed. I'll let you know how it turns out (not that you care necessarily LOL) because now I'm excited to give it a go! Thanks.
Thank you and Good Luck Belynda! 💕 I'd love to hear how it turns out! The good thing about adding low lights to blonde hair, is that you can do it really modestly and just add more later should you like it. You may want to do a practice strand to see what colors your hair may pull. Mine seem to always want to pull reddish or brassy tones, so I have to go with ash colors. 🤗💙
Love low lights! ✨ It really brightens up your complexion and makes your pretty eyes pop. 😍 I do my roots at home (add a drop of Argan Oil and 🙏). This is daring! GFY! 👊
Lol! Yes, it is daring! I love the idea with the Argan Oil! 🤗💕
I absolutely love it!!! It looks great!! 💕❤️🌺👍
Thank you Lisa!! 💙💙
I love the contrast!!
Thank you so much! 🤗💕
I love it !!!
Looks great!
Very cool! You look great as always.
Thank you Jennifer! 💕💕
I've let mine grow out because of my thyroid issue I'm so afraid but I do miss my lights I'm feeling dull☹️ you look amazing!! Gotta mention how brave and real you are by doing this on video I usually hate it when guts walk near salon and stare😉😅😅 love the afterwards but not the process. You look great it will lighten up with the washes😉
I love it You are keeping it real Girl!! You are still beautiful! Newly sub'd. You helped me and many so much ! Tfs😘😘
I think it looks great!!!
I love it!! You’ve inspired me to try it on myself
You may want to try a few test strands first. Different shades of blonde seem to pull different colors. I always have to go with ash colors to avoid reddish or brassy tones.Good luck!! 💕💕
Jenifer Jenkins thank you! Do you do your own blonde too? My natural hair is a dark “dirty blonde”-almost a light brown - and I’m always afraid of it turning red or brassy.
So pretty!
I think it looks great!
Love it - you look beautiful! I think I like your hair darker. xo
It looks so good, I have platinum blond hair and definitely want to put some dimension in it
I love it! I lost some of my braveness (is that a word? lol) after not being in the salon for almost a year (covid) and tried esalon & it didn't end well because I have a lot of short layers that made following the sectioning directions imposible plus the color turned out awful. Then out of desperation I tried to get back the highlights I lost during the sectioning fiasco - i lost my mind & tried to use their highlights. I only have 1 month till I get my 2nd vaccination & I cant take another day of brown/blonde/gray & borderline orange hair. I'm now using a semi permanent light brown that I use as a lowlight to break up the too light & too much entire top portion of my shoulder length lob. I'm trying to hold out for the salon but your courage is contagious! I'll look you up on Insta- the last day i posted my photo was the day i voted in which i was mostly all brown but i hated it on me & it left my family in shock-- till they saw me overdue the attempt of highlighting. I'll be under this same name- Kelli is my daughter who was killed at age 18 (DUI Homicide). Thank you so much for this video & for being YOU! xo Pam, still Kelli's mom
I think it's striking with your blue eyes. It's edgy w/o looking like forced edgy. Weird way to phrase it, but that's the best way I could think to say it. I'm definitely encouraged to try low lighting myself. I color my own hair but I've never swayed outside of all over color. I think I'll give this a try now that Fall is upon us.
Love it!!!
Beautiful as always
Thank you so much Patty! 🤗💜
I really like the way it looks
I really like it...makes your eyes pop. It is more interesting with the variation of colour....and you know it does get lighter in about a week.
It's really pretty!
Thank you so much! 🤗💜
