- I’m so excited with how my hair turned out! Doing your own hair is so much harder than others because of visibility and the ergonomic nature of doing hair but I felt like it still turned out so well! Just a disclaimer I am a licensed cosmetologist so i was comfortable with this process, do not attempt to do this at home unless you are mentally prepared for the possibility of a bad color.
Products are from Sally Beauty:
Colorcharm 7N Cream Demipermanent Color
Colorcharm Activating Lotion
Blondor Toner

Agreed!!!
Thanks so much!! Glad it helped :)
Claps! You Look great! And you will look more natural for ur wedding!
I’m going to do mine right now. My hair is so thin so I’ll do the same technique (diagonals and subtle) but less layers, thanks for sharing 💜
u did a great job like honestly im about to do it myself at home right now lol
Yes girl!!! I love it. Hoping it turns out amazing 🥰
I love how your hair turned out!!! Thank you for the video👍🏽👍🏽
Hey Lexy it turned out beautifully!!! and very natural looking. Can you clarify the products used? and maybe link them? I don't understand why you got the two balayage bleach packets or how you incorporated them? thank you!
Hi! All products are linked in the description :) And I always have bleach handy when doing something like this in case I make any accidents or there’s any harsh lines doing light feathering can fix that right up! But luckily I didn’t have any accidents and didn’t end up needing them. Hope that helps!
Amazing job! Looks so beautiful 😍
Wow that came out beautifully!! Great job! thank you for sharing 👍
Thank you so much!!
Wow! I'm speechless!! Going to try this tomorrow!!Thanks!!
Aw**!!! I'm so woow!! This looks amazing how the blonde stands out even more with that dark root💖💖💖💖💖💖I'm gonna try and achieve this look
That looks amazing. You make it look like it is easy, and I know it's not. You must have experience! 😀
Haha yes girl! I went to cosmetology school and did hair for a few years 😉
I bet your helpers mind is blown by how much we love your video ! The bowl, he did bring the bowl …making it all possible 😂 ps I come back every time I need a touch up !!
He loved this comment! haha
That conditioner used to blend the dark color into the light ends is legit af
It works with color & bleach too, I swear by it. If I don’t use conditioner to blend out my color it never looks as seamless
WOW!!! You Are Stunning!!! Thanks So Much For Such a Great and Helpful Video... Exactly What I Needed 😘🥰🙏
Lol watching this video 3 weeks before my wedding 😅 wish me luck as I shake my way through this shadow root/root stretch attempt
Omg I just got my hair done and they bleached the top as well and I think they did a horrible job at blending and the color just doesn’t suit me so I’m gonna have to try this reverse balayage!
Soooo gooooood! Perfect, thank you for such beautiful information
Omg it’s perfect 😍♥️
Wow so natural and Beautiful 🤗 hair goals 😂 thanks for sharing 😊👍
Loving this! Going to do it soon. Thanks! Can you tell us what shade of BlondBrilliance toner you used?
Great job! Looks good on you 😊👍
Thank you!! 😊
Looks amazing!!!
It came out beautifully made it seem so easy😌 let me ask you did you have to use the balayage packets & the foil? Or did I miss something? Thanks
I did not! I bought those in case I messed up, always have options in case you make mistakes :)
Hey. Love the after look it is truly gorgeous! I am wondering what powder balayage bleach you used and if I need that when going darker like you did?
I know this is an older video but congrats too💕
Hi! No i did not use it. I always have it in case the dark left any streaks then i would use it to blend those out but i luckily didn’t need to :) sorry i didn’t explain that well in the video
@@lexyeckert No worries, I am getting ready to try this out, do you mean that you would have used the powder mixed in with the color after the fact?
I don't have the front blonde pieces like you, do you have any recommendations on how I could accomplish that? I am not super comfortable with bleaching so a little worried about the look in the front.
@@Dudebros11 no i would have mixed it with 20 vol developer (it’s a bleach packet) and would have applied it after washing out the color, letting it dry, and seeing final result if there was splotchiness. I would RUclips “money pieces hair tutorial” for the front blonde pieces! They’re super easy :)
Looks beautiful. Did you weave the parting section too? Thanks
Yep!
Hey Lexi- I know this is a SUPER late comment but I've been looking for an easy🙄way to do reverse balayage. Yous' looks amazing🤩 CONGRATS on your wedding which was a year ago lol 😘. I wanted to ask you what Blondor toner did you use? The ones on Amazon were mostly the kind you mix w/ developer. Did you mean more of a purple mask?🤔😘
Hi! Here is a link to the exact product I buy: www.sallybeauty.com/hair-care/shop-by-product/shampoo/color-protection-shampoo/bonding-shampoo/SBS-005762.html
Hi! I’ve been doing my own platinum/white hair for a couple years now, but I want to start letting my hair grow out and blend it into my light blonde ends. I want to reverse balayage just up toward the roots and then let my dark blonde grow out. Could I follow your guide but use a toner to my roots/close to my roots rather than a color?
Absolutely!
Amazing!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job 👏
Bleached and toned my whole head to perfection…but decided I want some roots…I’m so scared 😂. Just got back from my trip to Sally’s…still have no clue where I’m taking this 😂.
You got this!! Take your time. You can always go back and add more
Where did you get the Blondor toner?
Sally’s beauty supply!
Thanks
Amazing. Now I just hope I can do this 😂
Hi! What vol of developer did you use, please? 30 vol? 20 vol? Thanks!
Hi! Just 20 vol :)
@@lexyeckert so why 20 volume? Doesn’t that lift?
I don’t think there was any developer used, just activating lotion, which goes with the Wella Demi Permanent, because you don’t want it to lift.
What is a good rule of thumb for how many shades darker than your base to add lowlights?
I tried to match my root color for an even grow out over time!
What color toner are you using all over?
Wat developer did u use
I don’t think there was any developer, just activating lotion. Which is meant to go with wella Demi permanent
How long did it last?
I absolutely luvvv this vid n ur hair girl! Can I plz make a request?
Sure!
@@lexyeckert can u make a vid showing how u cut or trim your hair? And make sure to wear your cape babe! 💖 starting cosmo school soon!!!🖤🖤
Hello witch color toner from blondor ?
Ash Blonde!
You’re literally off camera 90% of the time lmao
I appreciate your feedback! This is one of my earlier videos where I was still learning best practices with filming but felt like it was still worth posting since i was happy with the outcome! Not exactly a video you can re-film 🤪
🤣🤣 you just put a lot of money in some hairdressers pocket to fix their at home mess up color Corrections a lot of hairdressers will thank you... normal people with no hair experience can't do that nor should they
the hairstylist i went to ruined mine so i gave to do this myself lmao; stripes on my front piece, color is way to high up, bleaching is are uneven
