Best cheap surf rod would be the ugly stik bigwater . It's good to have at least a conventional surf rod setup . Cheapest conventional setup would be a 10 - 12 ft medium heavy action ugly stick bigwater with penn squall 15 , or squall 25 spooled with line that's 17-25 lb mono , or 40 -80 lb braid . This is the recommendation foe a first conventional surf setup .
Another informative video, they really help thanks. Also thanks on the info on explaining mile markers to me. So what is the MM at Bobhall pier? I assume they get bigger when you go south. I'm planning on coming down again this winter, I always camp and fish on the beach about 17 miles south of Bobhall. THANKS AGAIN and PEACE!
Yes I got to looking and I think you are right. Again your tackle video is saved in my library like several of your others ,, liked the info no salting the shrimp also, never could keep it on my hook. PEACE!
Awesome we are looking at getting us one we go down every 3 mo or so to surf fish and stay 3-5 days at a time I watch all your vids and love your content we just started saltwater fishing this last fall so have a lot to learn still
I am an old retired guy from Kyle. I grew up in Brownsville and used to fish the beach a bunch. But now,... where is the best place along the coast for an old phart like me, to drive to?
So I noticed you don’t open up your spider weights so they anchor properly . Is it only because you don’t have pyramid weights on you or do you always use your spider weights that way?
Good stuff, TBB. Informative, always helpful. Have a great new year!
Thanks for showing us what you use and have a great time in Oklahoma! 👍 watching from Killeen, Texas

URL's are to long...I will try to decipher them from you're links lol
What's the price for the bait drop boat and how hard is too get it down
$757 its not hard at all
Nice
I think bob hall is in the 200's
can i make it out there with a Subaru Forester on deflated tires
You can make it just fine by fish pass jetties. On Padre you may be good to go until about the 10 depends on tides
@@texasbeachbum ok thank you for the info much love
Blocks on the beach really? Lmao
