This endings show that Mushoku tensei was never an action power fantasy, but a deep character study about human understanding, human conection and how those can help mature and overcome our own failures as human being so we can truly be part of the world we live in. I love this series so much becouse of it.
What I love about this novel is that the redemption of the nameless NEET is done through other characters. And that theses characters themself change to his contact for a better world/future. Until the cringe NEET, which loves no one and on whom no one can rely, disappears completely and there is only Rudeus. It's an anti-postmodernist story. Postmodernism is "it's a story and we can have a sarcastic because it's not important". There we have "it's an isekai but it's very important to be nice. The world can be a better place if everyone try to understand others and behaving well.". I think it's a very good story for young people aged 30-40 who think they have fail their lives. Nothing is finished.
The scene where Lucy was sitting on Orsted's shoulders and pulling his hair was the first time I realized Orsted wasn't heartless or emotionless. He was just someone who'd lived thousands of years, seen everything, done everything, and had just accepted he would always be alone. When he starts experiencing things that are brand new to him and meeting people who are unafraid, he begins to open up and care about others.
The Millis arc was just a rollercoaster at the end. Jumping from Therese betraying Rudeus, to the trial and Claire's chapter, to Zenith's memories, to Geese's letter and declaration of war. Idk what it is about Millis but everytime people go there its just a top tier arc
@@edmondho1214 i wouldnt say things were getting boring, but the apparition of Oldeus instills a different feeling, in my case, and my view, i felt fear, the Man-God became in one chapter, from enigmatic and who seemed helpful, into someone to be scared off, being unable to understand him and know what he wanted, but what he was willing to do, and the utter gutpunch the diary was, changed how events were until now, and at the same way, that diary became the ultimate display of oldeus fight, the only proof that Oldeus existed and reminder of how things can always change at the drop of a hat but also a proof of hope to fighting against fate, which is then accentuated at a far removed end with the epilogue

I think it's important to realize that by fighting Alek using his mana Orsted is now unable to fight Laplace by himself when he revives. "I too, want to try fighting believing in my comrades for once." also refers to the fact that he will have to rely on Rudeus' descendants, the Rudo mercenaries and Akhito.

And yet, he isn't as strong as he believes to be. To be fair he is crazy strong for how "young" he is, but most of his power came from the Fighting God Armor and the Sword Katajuk. That was what his father was talking about and realized, without those two he isn't that special, that's why this defeat humbled him so much. If his personality changes he has the potential to be truly the strongest fighter of all times.
One of my favorite revelations of the web novel is something not actually happening in the story. The author mentioned in a Q&A section that the turning points in the story actually mark a change or shift in the flow of the war between Hitogami and Orsted. I had originally viewed them as just marking a narrative shift in the story. But now, they take on a whole other meaning knowing that.
Hmm when u told that : Tp 1 : is when hitogami start to notice his own future and rudeus existence Tp 2 : when rudeus meet orsted and orsted become aware to rudeus plus (probably hitogami plan to make rudeus and eris be together come to fail) Tp3 : either hitogami accept the fact rudeus and roxy will always be together no mather what and he shift to plan b at tp 4 Tp 4 : when oldeus come from the future to prevent hitogami win Tp 5 : last effort hitogami do to oppose rudeus and orsted.
The parts with Zenith was my favorite part of the series. It was also the only legitimate point in the story I crying while reading. I think it was a happy cry knowing that Zenith was always there. Great video man. Definitely gonna check out more from you
The line of orsted in very very meaningful, it's impossible to imagine live 100 times the same live with a curse like he has. But just imagine the life he had and said "fight for a comrade" is very powerful. Great video by the way, just got a recommendation and come to check out. Nice
Orsted is my favorite character from the story. Seeing his and Rudeus' relationship is the best part of MT for me. Have u read redundancy chapter 13 btw? It's a short Orsted pov and it gives more detail into his thinking.
Orsted knew that fighting against Kalman III would deplete his mana reserves. Along with the now unavoidable upcoming fight against Laplace, fighting against Kalman III would almost ensure this loop would end in a failure. Orsted also knows that it is highly likely that Rudeus won't exist in future loops. He chooses to lose this loop and fight alongside a comrade. This is the difference between Orsted and Hitogami. Hitogami views his apostles as pawns easily discarded when unneeded. Orsted views Rudeus as a comrade and an equal, even if Rudeus is insistent on placing a higherarchy
Great video. I am surprised that you didn't include the final talk between Rudeus and Hitogami. After all, ever since Future!Rudeus showed up we sort of expected a final battle between the two but the thing that Rudeus did to him was both anticlimactic and a masterful blow that also served as Rudeus final development as a character.
Thank you :) I agree about that final Rudeus-Hitogami scene; I think it would fit in pretty well with the rest of the examples in this video. I chose the 3 examples in the video because they're very clear endings to pretty self-contained arcs. I've also had a rough video idea about the final Rudeus-Hitogami scene for a while, but it will probably take a while to get that script finished and polished. I also considered including the ending to the Asura Kingdom arc in this video, in particular the Luke-Ariel hostage scene; but I think it's a bit of a weaker example that would take a bit more work to convince people that's it's the climax of the arc (but regardless, Luke is a great character, a lot of interesting things are going on with him that I want to reflect on a bit more one day).
It's also such a nice wrap up to Rudeus because he doesn't even antagonize Hitogami. This guy who caused him so much strife, and it doesn't matter. Because, as Rudeus puts it, "I'm already dead, you know?" There isn't much he can do - he lived his life without regrets this time. That's all he ever cared about doing, first and foremost. That has been his goal from the start all the way to the end. No grand plans like "kill Hitogami" or "become the strongest". And I think that's why he is able to give Hitogami some genuine advice with no malice behind it. "Try your best from here on." There aren't any sides to pick for him, so he just gives Hitogami the advice he's been following himself. As long as you try your hardest, then regardless of the outcome you can at least say "At least I tried to do the best that I could, rather than nothing at all." I also love that it's the first and final time that Hitogami sees Rudeus, as Rudeus. Not the man he used to be in his first life, but the man he became in his second life. It comes full circle and it feels like his "reincarnation" is finally completed, right as his life ends.
It's been over a year since I last read any of this stuff, so having it brought up in my mind again is almost making me emotional because of how powerful these characters are. Mushoku tensei is truly an amazing series.
When i think back to the last volume ending and how orsted simply came in and fixed everything, it made me realize that this story was incredible. It was never about rudy saving the world, it was just about rudy and his actions and how said actions would save the world. Its his children that will do the world saving, its him helping orsted that will break his shackles from looping back in time who knows how many more times, his actions that put the most level headed person in power in asura and more, it is him that lay down the groundwork with simply living his life.
Finally got around to Volume 19 and I read the whole thing in just two sittings! Incredibly good arc and perhaps the most underrated volume of the whole series. Truly brilliant storytelling
MT has an incredibly fleshed out world and an intricate but easy to understand magic system, two things that modern fiction/fantasy really struggle with, and yet easily the best aspect of the series is the characters. Man I was crying my eyes out with (manly) tears while reading both Claire's perspective and Zenith's memories, without mentioning Paul's death and Turning Point 4, the series really makes you care about its characters like no other
13:00 I would say the main meaning is that as a result of using a substantial amount of mana to defeat Kalmun the 3rd the real meaning of him ‘choosing to fight by the side of his comrades for once’ is that this its the first time in his life that he has chosen to rely on others (rudues and his decedents) to make up for his now low mana in the upcoming Laplace and man god battles. For the first time he is letting go of the notion through all his loops that he is fighting the man god alone.
Another anticlimactic thing was Geese's death. Throughout the novel he was propped up to be such a dependable person, which is why his betrayal feels so visceral. So when the final fight comes, you expect Geese to pull something, some kind of grand last piece of trickery. But nothing happens - Geese just dies from wounds he sustained from collateral damage from a spell that wasn't even aimed at him.
Rudeus specifically lit the entire forest on fire on the other side of the Earth Dragon Valley after Badi jumped to fight. He lit the entire forest on fire with intent to kill Geese
@@lake8849its kinda funny that Geese came into this fight prepared every single elemental resistant equipment except for fire because he never saw Rudy using it, just for Rudy to casually lit an entire forest.
I kind of liked how he died. Not in a literal sense, but from a writing standpoint. We have to remember that Geese wasn't a genius mastermind or a fighter, but a rather ordinary guy who was skilled as a thief. There's no way for him to predict every single detail, even with the Man-Gods help. So, one little oversight ultimately was the end for him. At the very least he still managed to speak his final words to Rudeus
This is a great watch, I always love watching videos like these where people explain the deeper points of the story I might have missed or forgot about on my first few viewings, allowing me to appreciate it even more when coming back to it. Very well done
The volume 23 case is interesting to me. Unlike the other two i cannot say i have no reserve against it. Much like rudeus i wanted histogrami to not even get a consolation prize. As such i was and in a way still am a bit angry about it However i can now see that for orsted narrative it is the most fulfilling way. Entering the battle really gives meaning to his words since he is now actually dependant on his future allies help to face his future challenges. But unlike all the other times he can count on it. I can't say i now love it but i do respect it more than I used to
truly, the moment Orsted enters the fray and tells Rudy how he feels, really hammers and breaks whats been the wall that he himself had put in between himself and the others with the excuse of "trying again", which is what makes me love and feel so good about it, he decides to really trust on others and act upon it himself thanks to rudy efforts at giving him a chance for it, getting means to communicate not directly, something to soft his curse, etc and the pay off feels so cathartic
The characters, and their growth into adults of power and influence. Even Pax in a way, which hits Roxy hard. Also remember that this entire series is written as a kind of prequel to the story of the great heroes after Rudy's lifetime and the great teleportation incident which summoned Rudy's soul, Nanohoshi, and is a major plot point for the whole series is due to the time Miko who loves the summoned great hero who doesn't appear in this world until after Rudy is dead from old age.
I've always asked myself why MT is the only LN that I managed to finish with vigor. Its probably because while the story has world building and some action it also has an overarching character arc that gets resolved in the end. I feel that most of the characters are fleshed out and matter in the grand scheme of things.
Literally one of the best Mushoku Tensei analysis, thankfully it got recommended. This topic was something I felt, enjoyed and realized for only a bit but something I never dug into.
Loved this video, a few people talk about these arcs, and in my opinion, these arcs have most of my favorites moments of all the novels. Also great way to tell the story and the events, awesome video.
To condense, Mushoku Tensei is anticlimactic if you only view it through the lens of a traditional Shonen action lens. However, they are emotionally climactic/cathartic if understood through the more mature seinen lens. The perspective chapters are the best in the series because they not only flesh out the inner thoughts and backgrounds of these characters, they always end with the individual reaching a meaningful conclusion that deepens their understanding of not only themselves, but the people around them. I was really glad when the LN translations finally caught up to Volume 19 as the WN fan translation is noticeably worse relative to the other volumes.
The reason why these arcs are so incredible, despite not ending with a big "satisfying" climax (= everything ends well and the "good guys" win), is because of two major reasons: 1) The story DOES resolve the tension by giving us proper character developement and conclusions for CHARACTER ARCS (despite it being anticlimactic in terms of the story arc itself). With MT being centred around the characters and not the fights, it is just as much a resolution than a climactic fight would be. 2) The story subverts your expectations! This point is REALLY important, since many people don't seem to understand HOW important of a narrative device subversion actually is. E.g.: Most shounen stories ALWAYS end their arcs essentially the same way, with the villains getting defeated in a battle and the good guys achieving their goals. That is EXTREMELY predictable and will get boring very soon (at least for smarter audiences.....) , regardless of whether the characters and stakes are different in each arc. MT always ends its arcs in a different kind of way. It always does something we wouldn't expect, hence subverting your expectations, but it always does so in a way that still makes sense and advances the story and the characters. It just doesn't "chain" itself to a certain kind of way to end an arc, like other stories do. Whether that way is anticlimactic or not isn't even the most important thing, its about whether the conclusion pushes the story forward in an interesting and unexpected way. That's what makes these conclusions to the later arcs of MT so great.
Hahahahaha! Absolutely wonderful! I have not read the last novel yet since it has not been available yet on amazon. I am a bit older at 73 and pay attention to the characters. I have been disappointed in any of the ending except that old woman. I have met several women a couple men like her and was cheering at the ending when she was sentenced to 10 years and Zeinth blew me away. Hahahahaha! Keep up the good work !
amazing video, I just finished and was feeling a bit unfulfilled, complaining that the story didn't have a good ending. This vid took a whole different perspective to what I was thinking!
Mushoku is a mastercraft in 'subverting expectations' without the narrative equivalent of jump scares. Instead of throwing bricks at the audience with sudden character deaths or gimmicky nonsense it feels like it's telling stories about actual people dealing with shyte.
In the end Mushuko Tensei never was about fighting ind was about living, i loved this i didnt need fights if i get such great character development there is a Reason that Mshoku Tensei is my number 1 series for about 7 Years Since i read it first back in 2014. The WN made me cry so often i was schoked any series could actually do it. mainly the ending of the teleport dungeon and the last Chapter with Hitogami and Rudeus. I mean just thinking about those to parts gives me goosebumbs.
Orsted may have learned the joy of camraderie, but I think his true revelation at the end was "I can make allies by beating the shit out of them and breaking their spirit!". He's a bit slow so it took from V15 to the end for this to sink in for him.
One of my favourite moments tho is when the slime king gave rudues different visions or possibilities he could do if one step goes dif and the one where his mom was alive was pretty strong, even he knows incautiously it's a illusion but he still didn't killed her for days to break the illusion , and the motivation of him breaking the illusion is still Paul's death, it is also implies at the final moment which rudues didn't break free the illusion becuz of hisself but a ring he got from Randolph, which is stated the fact that rudues was never op , the chosen one or whatsoever, there's a lot of times they showed this but even this small little moment across the whole series can be analysed so much . Which tells how good in depth MT is
I love that scene too, i really like how Rudy existence is a lot of times, mentioned as a happenstance, in all essences, he was just another person more, even more when you consider that before his soul entering the body it would've been a stillborn, Rudy simply tried, tried and kept trying to be the best version of himself he could, clung onto all he could to not give up, and in doing so, made so much connections because he looked for the good in others and himself, he didn't do anything revolutionary, he helped a friend, he helped his family etc, all normal things but the effects ended affecting others and so on, and that saved him from said illusion, not some secret power, but a token from a friend he made, story telling at it's finest
I didn’t feel like the last battle had an anticlimactic ending, it was the best fight in the series topped with the ultimate sacrifice from orsted because the whole point of the fight was for him to not get involved. But still amazing video, It’s incredible that such a high quality analysis exists of the final chapters, given that not many people give the light novel or web novel a go. Keep up the good work👍
An amazing video! I always struggle to put my thoughts on a story into words, but these are my words exactly :D. Mushoku is such an unique story precisely because it isn't really a power fantasy, but a story of Rudeuses life, and the frieds he meets along the way. Btw, did you know the reason "turning points" are called so is because they are events that drastically change the outcome of Orsteds battle against the Man God?
When i first finished the final vol i felt like “ Huh so it’s over now” . Upon re reading the volume again after 2 days i started crying so much I couldn’t complete reading it again that’s when I realised that i have finished reading the best piece of fiction i ever will in my life. I am waiting for the sequel so much.
Everyone is talking about Turning point 4, but no one ever said anything about Millis Arc. It is the best Arc in my book. It doesn't have big fights, but the characters are deeply written, it is kick back to Turning point 3. And the reveal at the end, plot twists,.....
My two favorite scenes are from the story of Rudeus visiting Millis with his mother: the “trial” of the holy knights and the peace talks after Rudeus kidnapped the girl. In both of those scenes we see a person being framed for intentions he didn’t actually have. In the first one Rudeus is being charged with accusations of planing to kidnap the girl and in the second his grandmother is charged with accusations of planning to use Zenith for political goals without her consent. That is a genius way of making us fill in the roles of both the prosecutor and the one being prosecuted! At first Rudeus is wrongly accused and we definitely know that the ones accusing him are doing it not out of malice but rather out of their feelings of love towards the girl they want to protect and then in the next scene suddenly it’s Rudeus who’s doing the same thing!
3:30 Even way before MT was never about the battles. It was more realistic. In real life most people don't want to go to battle. Especially when you have a family you love. In most anime, best example being Dragon Ball, the peaceful episodes were just boring. I always felt like "Can't the next villain finally come?" (it this case, part of the reason was the bad character development of the wife, I guess) But in MT, it's different. After he married Sylphie, I hoped, it would stay like this for even longer. And it already stayed like this for almost 2 volumes. So when I heard, he had to leave his family, maybe for a long time, maybe making a mistake, I didn't like that. I didn't think "Oh cool, finally a new adventure! Let's go!". I didn't want it. And that's the main difference to other anime. I think, the main reason is, that their actual life is portrayed as worth protecting. But when thinking about Shounen, what would their lives be without the fighting? In some it's better. In One Piece and in Hunter×Hunter, they at least want to reach a goal, which seems worthy. But in Dragon Ball and Naruto, and probably most of these more generic Isekai, the point of fighting is at best just to protect what they already have. And what they already have doesn't seem that great. And besides that, they just like fighting and being a hero. In hindsight the Northgod Kalman III story resonated more than I thought. Almost every shounen protagonist is like him. Kalman III is just the typical shounen protagonist, who only wants to fight to be a hero, not because a reason.
For me the climax of the series is when he fought with orsted with death in mind. After that its just world building for setting up to story for his children or descendants.
Something i love of Rudeus is the understanding he have of people. He try to understand their point of view before judging. Unlike all other popular anime where the protagonist kill, bash, insult, moke or view them as trash only because they don't have the same upbringing. The new show about the genius prince suffer of this problem. Wein kill without remorse just because of pity word's.
To be honest i was anxious throughout the light novel but nothing was compared to rudeus fighting orsted for the second time.. I wish we get to know the power level of rudeus at his peak
Yeah, oldeus sounded so OP. I thought he at the very least, his power level is one below perugius or at most within the top 10 strongest BEINGS in the MT Universe, which is not something to say lightly in this story. At least that’s what I think
Final battle Rudeus is already stronger than Oldeus. Pure fighting strength is not the only measure of power. Every person on his team was there because of him. He is both the strategist, and the main fighter on his team. At the end, he also exhaust his own mana supply. That battle is way harder than VS. Orsted, since he have to strategized and mobilize people for days. A battle that just a repeat of Orsted battle would be just boring the second time. Since it basically just "throw big spells, dodge, gattling gun" repeating till out of mana. So many bad isekai just keep doing the same shit, (With different spells, still same shit) and it bored me to dead.
3:55 I had to pause cuz volume 21 isn't out yet. Hopefully I can read it soon so I can come back afterwards lol Worth the wait, clair reminds me of my grandpa's eldest sister. I almost cried hearing miko recount zenith's memory and POV. I just wonder if miko's power could have been greater and healed zenith if she wasn't restricted to use them and trained her mind and body like rudy? I just finished volume 25 and thought I could watch this now. Turns out the pard thatbI needed to read is on volume 26 lol. I spoiled my self ofter 8 months of waiting 😂
I really want to watch this, but I refuse to spoil myself any more. I already fucked up and know the secret of Geese even though I've only just finished the Shirone War arc. But I promise I will return when Bookwalker translates the rest of the volumes
Good choice ! The plot twists that come in the later arc are fucking amazing and the best I've seen in anime/manga/novels. You could read the WN like I did, but waiting is fine too! You will really enjoy it!
0:40 A few years ago I realized I enjoy anticlimactic writing. So basically there's a huge buildup. For example an erotic story. Everything hints, they are going to have sex. But then for some reason, a good reason hopefully, maybe because of a misunderstanding, it turns out differently. Maybe they even have sex, but it's just doesn't feel erotic in any way. Or maybe he has ED :)
Sometimes you don't need the blessings of the creator God of the world and approval blessings of the gods of the elements to be important, sometimes just putting your self out there risking the chance of failure leads to success beyond your expectations with enough determination in your need to continue.
By definition something that is anticlimactic causes disappointment at the end of the story. Since the endings of the stories in Mushoku Tensei are not disappointing. It the follows that Mushoku Tensei is not anticlimactic.
WN only has 24 volumes with 264 chapters. (plus 76 after story chapters (Redundancy, JO and ODT)). LN25 covers up to chapter 257 of the WN (4 chapters before end of WN23). WN23 started at the beginning of LN24, has 2 added side stories to it and continues all the way through LN25, has another 2 side stories added. So you may expect WN23 content to end around halfway through LN26, other half should cover WN24 content.
I was pretty disappointed by a few things. After Rudy became celibate, the story begins to lack the connection Rudy has to any of his wives. Zenith is telepathic, and can communicate with one of Rudy's children through this, but nothing ever comes from it before it skips ahead. On Rudy's deathbed, he is told that Eris is waiting for him, but then it's described that his consciousness simply fades away and ceases to exist. There's just so much about the story that is deeply unsatisfying.

@@wetraccs5747 ye u right but what if u lived for millions of years ? Wouldn't u loose the true meaning of life? You'd want to leav that stupid whit void at all cost
Thats why k understand hitogami and his actions don't get me wrong what he did is definitely wrong
To last for 10mins against Orsted which is already equipped with God Sword is just incredible
To be fair he was wearing armor made by Laplace and a sword made from a dragon king that's onpar with multiple emperors (presumably)
Hmm when u told that :
Tp 1 : is when hitogami start to notice his own future and rudeus existence
Tp 2 : when rudeus meet orsted and orsted become aware to rudeus plus (probably hitogami plan to make rudeus and eris be together come to fail)
Tp3 : either hitogami accept the fact rudeus and roxy will always be together no mather what and he shift to plan b at tp 4
Tp 4 : when oldeus come from the future to prevent hitogami win
Tp 5 : last effort hitogami do to oppose rudeus and orsted.

The more I learn about this series the more i hope with every fiber of my being the anime ends up covering it in full. what an amazing story
Coming back to this video. This might be the best video ever made about what Mushoku Tensei is really about and why it is so special
Acceptance, the final state of mind
As long as you try your hardest, then regardless of the outcome you can at least say "At least I tried to do the best that I could, rather than nothing at all."
I also love that it's the first and final time that Hitogami sees Rudeus, as Rudeus. Not the man he used to be in his first life, but the man he became in his second life. It comes full circle and it feels like his "reincarnation" is finally completed, right as his life ends.
Now the alternate timeline Rudeus can truly rest in peace.
Truly brilliant storytelling
omg i just cried during the video without even realizing it, this story man, i love it even more every day
MT has an incredibly fleshed out world and an intricate but easy to understand magic system, two things that modern fiction/fantasy really struggle with, and yet easily the best aspect of the series is the characters. Man I was crying my eyes out with (manly) tears while reading both Claire's perspective and Zenith's memories, without mentioning Paul's death and Turning Point 4, the series really makes you care about its characters like no other
Ye wiat to see the ending and you'll cry till u have tears of blood 😭
Its as always the perfect ending for volume
I last read vol26 a month ago so I don't remember exactly but didn't Rudeus specifically light the forest on fire to burn Geese?
@@thebluenucleusHe did if I remember correctly.
What a wonderful coincidence to find this video pop up again after last week's episode.
Rudy knows a thing or two about not climaxing.
As such i was and in a way still am a bit angry about it
However i can now see that for orsted narrative it is the most fulfilling way.
Great video. These arcs are absolutely some of the best in the Novel, and it's interesting seeing them broken down like this.
Also, King Pax is goated
This was beautiful. It has shown me once again why I love this story to death
Loved this video, a few people talk about these arcs, and in my opinion, these arcs have most of my favorites moments of all the novels. Also great way to tell the story and the events, awesome video.
Thanks for not spoiling that part of Milis and the last arc
This is really a well-made video. Keep it the good work !
Possibly one of the best reviews out there
This channel is criminally underrated. You got a sub from me. Great stuff my friend
Pax death was realy a thing i would have never anticipated
The reason why these arcs are so incredible, despite not ending with a big "satisfying" climax (= everything ends well and the "good guys" win), is because of two major reasons:
1) The story DOES resolve the tension by giving us proper character developement and conclusions for CHARACTER ARCS (despite it being anticlimactic in terms of the story arc itself).
Amazing analysis of Mushoku Tensei, subbed !
Greatly insightful, succinct and well edited, this is some quality work mate. Wonderful job!
Awesome video!
Zanoba in volume 19 was 🤌chefs kiss.
I already loved his character but that arc only elevated him for me, specially his POV
Great video! I wouldn't call them anticlimaxes but rather excellent subversions to the stereotypical plot.
You make really good content I hope your channel pops off
3:30 Even way before MT was never about the battles. It was more realistic.
In real life most people don't want to go to battle. Especially when you have a family you love.
In most anime, best example being Dragon Ball, the peaceful episodes were just boring. I always felt like "Can't the next villain finally come?" (it this case, part of the reason was the bad character development of the wife, I guess)
But in MT, it's different.
Really Understanding...
1. Relationships
2. Perspectives
3. Respect
(between everybody's strengths and weaknesses)
For me the climax of the series is when he fought with orsted with death in mind. After that its just world building for setting up to story for his children or descendants.
underrated
🔥vid and amazing anime
Mushoku Tensei , is about human connections.
12:47 bingo
So many bad isekai just keep doing the same shit, (With different spells, still same shit) and it bored me to dead.

title change to farm engagement or what
By definition something that is anticlimactic causes disappointment at the end of the story. Since the endings of the stories in Mushoku Tensei are not disappointing. It the follows that Mushoku Tensei is not anticlimactic.
W vid had to skip a bit cuz im only at vol 23
Questions is vol 25 of the wn the same as the LN?

Just standard web novel fan translations you can find by Google-ing, or the Mushoku Tensei discord server. But if something is written awkwardly or ambiguously, I tend to go back to the original Japanese publication (ncode.syosetu.com/n9669bk/) and see if I can come up with a clearer translation.
