The diesel being available on the base model is a good thing.
The front (the face) of the car looks really nice (compared to BMW) its way better
What about engine size / power / drive chain options?
Missed a huge opportunity with PHEV ev range needs to be 80 to 100 miles now
Is the battery capacity of the PHEV still the same? if yes it is a bit disappointing.
The price is actually much better than before, since all the competition went crazy with the prices.
Once i considered buying 5008 (5 years ago) Sorento was 15k more expensive! Now its just 4k. Sadly, 5008 met the Sorento, not the other way around, but hey 🤷♂
Great looking car inside and out and seems to be still decent value with the restored entry level model. The Santa Fe has it on styling for me and it will be interesting to see them pitted against each other.

It was already great enough, the only thing it needed is cheap looking vents reconstruction - and they did it.
Can anyone from the UK can tell me how long is expected to wait if buying a hybrid Sorrento there? I’m living in Australia and the supply of the hybrid Sorrento has been limited to 20 units per month including the regular hybrid and the Phev. Kia stated the reason as the lack of regulation requirement for selling a lot of eco friendly cars.
I was told by 2 dealers to call in June 2024 to order and it would take 3 months for factory orders

In the old days the Sorento separated itself by have some small capability off-road. But that feature went away a long time ago. While it does appear to be a capable family hauler it make no pretense about being anywhere near a performance SUV. And as well it shouldn't. It big and under-powered.
7 seater Mercedes GLB start from around £39k and so why go for a Kia?

You need to compare Merc GLE for size comparison. I couldn’t find one with ventilated seats so went for Sorento. Also Merc GLE used values plummet. 3 years old they are within £5 k difference but nearly double when new!
sante fe has nothing to worry about, this is the same as before just a mid life facelift, lame

Better options like what?
Considering the Sorento has everything you need on the entry level model AS STANDARD and many of its rivals require you to pay a lot more for a higher trim level AND add some options, the Sorento still undercuts most of its rivals.
To be honest - I can’t think of any other options that offer so many features, in this size of car, for this price.
Not for the price,features and warranty. Every carmaker has become expensive. For a car this size and what it offers Kia will be a bargain. Unless of course you can tell us better alternatives.

Internally is looks a good car but, my word it's so ugly - looks like a brick on wheels. Surprising no new engines for it. No road test?
It was too expensive in the first place. 2nd hand value of these cars will nose dive. Does anyone REALLY need a car of this size when a small hatchback will do exactly the same job.

When people say car is too big for anyone makes me roll eyes . Of course everyone has the same requirements in the world don’t they!!! As for depreciation, when 3 yr old Merc GLE, Porsche Macans and even some Cayennes are within £10k above used Sorento, I think the Kia does pretty well.
This car says you are under the thumb, and you have 4 kids ! Plus, you dream of the days you were single
but since you love your children and wife you think the sacrifices are worth it.
Couldn’t be truer. On my third Sorento now. Ther shan’t be a fourth. One kid will be in uni by then or I will be divorced. Either way this one is the last one. It looks good.
