    I am a 'smaller guy' 5'6" 170lbs 29"inseam and I will say that the bike is very comfortable. Slightly narrower seat would not be a bad thing, and I will probably change it out next year. I have no problem flat-footing this bike. Mine is a 2021 Vulcan Classic 900 LT.

    I had to go to HD due to my wife's health issues (a trike). But the Vulcan 900 is a great motorcycle. The custom gives you the mag wheels and neat styling over the base model and the Classic LT compares to the HD Heritage but at half the price. My friend just bought a new 23 model and loves it.

I`v e been Married 25 years today to a great lady but she was never fond of bikes. But I`ve expressed my wish to get one again. Last week, she drove me 1.5 hrs north of our home in Calgary (her suggestion) to the Red Deer Kawasaki dealer to check out what I believe to be probably the last new 2019 Vulcan Custom available. 1 Mile on the odo and full warranty. I am a bit nervous after all these years but my family is supportive . We have two boys, 18 and 23. Deal is done . I will register for a MSF course.

    I have an 07 that I just recently purchased, 1451 miles, good lookin lil ole vike. And your right, it does ride like a dream, not alot of top in. Nothing like the old skool 1000.
    Lost around 20mph when I had to take the baffels out, the top one was stop up, good ole dirt dobbers and honeycomb emissions. Gutted the pipes and stuck them back on, decent sound. Nice lil cruiser and light weight, and the seat is comfy. Wind in my face every chance I get. Ride on ..

    Honestly, I think it's unfair to the Vulcan to compare them to Sportsters lol. I'd compare them with the Softail line, the Custom with something like the Breakout or the Low Rider and the Classic with the Heritage. I ride a 2020 Low Rider S right now and paid ~20 grand for it. Now, I love it, but frankly I don't really "get it". It's an awesome bike, but I'd be just as happy on my old Vulcan Custom too. It's a life lesson kind of thing, but I figured I'd share that experience with anyone else who may be reading these comments. I'm gonna end up selling the Low Rider S here soon and I'm gonna look into getting me a used Vulcan Nomad or Vaquero, probably, or hell maybe even a 900 Classic. Harley makes some great bikes and get one if you want one, but they definitely ain't the end game. Metric cruisers aren't just "place holders" for Harleys, which is a trap I'd fallen into I think. They kick their own breed of ass.
    Thanks for the video.

    • @BoSoxJunky09
      @BoSoxJunky09 2 года назад

      As the rider in this video... I think it'd unfair to Harley to compare how much more comfortable this Vulkan was to ride than my Harley or any other Harley I rode. The low profile of this bike with the seat selection killed any Harley I rode. I still love Harley though and would totally buy a breakout or the new 22 sportster s

      I had a 1200 nightster and the stock seat was BRUTAL. No padding whatsoever and where I live we get a lot of root/frost heaves and I hit one and honestly? Not 100% sure cuz I didn't go to the doc but I swear I broke my tail bone. I was riding with 2 guys I was bringing up the rear and when I pulled over, they turned and found me in agony on the side of the road. I barely made it home. I couldn't ride the rest of that season and really, was years before I could sit right again.
      I actually removed the cover and added more high density foam padding, specially up the middle.

    • @SiegfriedsMotorwerx

      The Vulcan is liquid cooled which makes the biggest difference in the engines department, revs higher and quicker. As far as the riding position this bike just feels less “crammed” then an 883 or even a 1200 sportster. Plus the customs come out of the box with forwards

    • @bigpapa8152
      @bigpapa8152 3 года назад +1

      @@just-dl Yes, 2 iintake, 2 exhaust. A 2 valve head is not bad at all, but think of it this way. You have a big intake and a big exhaust valve in one engine. In the other you have 2 smaller intake valves and 2 smaller exhaust valves. At high engine rpm, the 4 valve head will let the engine breathe a lot more easily and efficiently then a 2 valve head. Its a lot easier at high rpm to open and close 4 small valves then 2 big valves. The result is better performance and efficiency.
