Nice !!! I don't think I'd be able or willing to remove a B2200 cylinder head in a parts yard, I seem to have issues moving the exhaust manifold away. I have pulled a power steering gear box, console, 3-spoke steering wheel, bubble hood, and other stuff which I now have on my 1988, and in the past I have pulled rear jump seats, stamped tailgate, AC bracket, intake manifold, valve covers, tow mirrors for customers. Of the 6 AC switches I have pulled, 5 were bad and I needed to repair those; sold 5 and kept one as my spare. I also have pulled stuff like windshield wiper covers, speaker grilles, door lock bezels, flasher relays, fuses, all sorts of small stuff. But B-trucks in the parts yard here in Arizona are now few, and few of these trucks were sold new back in those days.....so I haven't been to the parts yard for at least 6 years now, as my B2200 and my 1998 and 2004 Frontiers haven't needed such used parts.
Hey, i was thinking of ripping my engine down and doing a gasket match on the intake manifold as well as just cleaning the ports on the head out. Whats your thoughts on this bc ive seen mixed reviews on doing that with a carbd engine. I noticed on one of ur videos ur buddy gasket matched the intake did yu have any issues?
Didn't have any issues. I had driven the truck before and after that mod and I'm not sure I could tell a difference. I'm sure it didn't hurt. On bigger engines it's been proven to be effective but I've often felt it was a waste of effort on the Mazda B series engine. Like I said though it can't hurt. I may do it on my next rebuild.

I'm nursing one of these Mazda B2000's around these days. For the last 6 years now. Way cheaper on gas than a full size truck.

Honda makes a thin wall socket for spark plugs for some motorcycles, maybe one of those would fit that tight space on the head
I will look into it but I've never had to before on other heads. I had to Dremel around just to get my socket on that plug to get it out.
@@MazdaMitch just a thought. Take'er easy.
Great finds 👏
Hey what’s the black square on the distributor that has a wire coming off going to the distributor and can I bypass it
Yes it's just a noise suppressor for radio. Not needed with head units of the past 20 years
