Thanks very much. I’m heading to Paris next week and looking forward to the trip, but there are definitely lots of hoops to jump through these days. I appreciate your concise vlog. :)
Safe travels and enjoy! Also they just finished wrapping the Arc de Triomphe (huge art installation). As we go into fall and winter, I definitely recommending checking those US gov't travel websites/resource frequently prior to traveling in case anything changes last minute.
I will be traveling next month: LA --> Florence--> Paris -->LA. Do I need to have the covid test done from Florence? I'm fully vaccinated and will have a test done before flying to Florence.
I believe travel to the US, whether you are a citizen or not, from a foreign country still requires a negative (and documented) COVID test within three days of travel. I'm not sure if Italy requires one to enter if you are already vaccinated or also if France needs one if you are traveling within the EU.
Question! At French airports, do they have English translation there? How will ik where to go in the airport if I’m not French & I’m looking to travel to Paris in the next few months?
Yes there will be plenty of people who speak English there who can help you if you have questions; signage will have English as well - assuming you're talking about CDG or ORY.
As of today, it has remained the same for countries on their green list (which includes the United States, Canada and a few others). You’ll need either a documented negative test OR proof of full vaccination to enter France. I would plan to still get a test even if you are vaccinated just to be sure.
My family is traveling to paris on a couple days, my wife is the only American citizen, me and my parents we have residency here, do we need something special to enter France? Or just our vaccination cards, and for the return we need the PCR test, or is it good with a rapid tests? Thank you!!
Vaccination cards should be sufficient to enter France. Either PCR or rapid test works for proof of a negative test coming back to the US, but the test needs to be documented/done with a medical profession.
Major cities like Paris will have plenty of people who speak English and signs in English. Otherwise, I've found Google Translate to work really well; I would recommend downloading the French pack on the app ahead of time.
Con you enter restaurants and museum with a CDC card or does it need to be converted? Do I risk to starve to death after entering France because they don’t accept the CDC card even if they allowed you to enter the country with it?
If I’m traveling to Paris for a week then going to Switzerland will my same CDC vaccination card be accepted? Then I’ll be flying back to Paris from Switzerland, do you think I can take a covid test in Switzerland use it back in France when coming back to the US?
Definitely need EU health pass to get into restaurants, bars, department stores etc. I forgot my phone one night & was turned away from a restaurant…. even the terrace! Just get vaccinated, easier & safer for everyone.
But you will do an unboxing when you return from Paris, right? What a hassle? More swabs even when vaccinated. I can't wait for the day I can burn my masks.
Thank you for this. I got my Pass Sanitaire before my trip and I travel next week. This is the most stressful trip I've ever taken and I've traveled all over the world. It helps to hear someone else's experience. On the lighter side...In my youtube search for practical info on French covid travel, I came across a disturbing number of vapid female American youtube fashion influencers whirling around in ecstasy while spending 100k on shopping the "chaaampss daaah leesaaay" with no mention of how they managed to get into the Gucci store or the Savoy...lol. Daddy probably paid someone to take care of all the details. For those of us who actually plan our own travel, we have to rely on trip reports like yours. Thanks again.

Did they ask for the vaccination? I'm not vaccinated.
@@RiccoMarselino They do ask for it. You must be vaccinated to enter the country as of a couple of weeks ago.
I have a 10 hour layover in Pairs would it be a good idea to visit Paris doing my layover
Depends what you wanted to do in Paris in a few hours and if your final destination is in the EU.
Clear & Precise Vlog. Thank You!
Thank you for watching 😎

Where can non Eu get French Health Pass ? Is this a QR code?
You have to go to a Pharmacy for them to verify your vaccine card and they will make a health pass for you.

I am under the impression that pharmacies in France will also do the conversion - or at least some of them will. Can you verify that?
What do you mean by "conversion"?
@@SartorialPhil take my American, CDC issued documents and convert them into a French version with scannable QR code
Thanks for the info! Is the COVID certificate required to even enter France? Or is just proof of vaccination required?

First time traveling to Paris . I don’t speak any French, so I’m very nervous , I will download a translator app any suggestions?

So paris to usa …we need pcr testing even if you are vaccinated?
Yes, documented negative test within 3 calendar days of your flight.

Good to know. Yes to being vaccinated! ✅

How long did it take for your application to be approved? It has been 7 days for me, and there is no progress at all
