What’s lebanese? Is that a thing?
*I absolutely love these videos.* We used their advice on how to use public transportation while traveling in Paris on our trip and their advice was such a blessing. They gave great tips about the RER that was vital to how we got around. *This is the best and most polished travel advice series on RUclips.*
Wonderful!
Well said, couldn't agree more!👍
I have been saying that for at least a year or two -- the very best! And so well earned!
And his rolling eyes 😂
Merci Martine pour vos encouragements.... Elle est belle la France.... il est vrai, et nous aimons la partager....
Yes it’s true you are also visiting different parts of France
I really enjoyed your trip to Strasbourg and its famous marché de Noël.
I ´ll have to view more of your youtube channel with so many interesting reportages. So nice to follow you when you say « on y va «
@@vincentdupont315
Great video. Could you please consider making some videos focusing on each of the outer arrondisements? When we visited Paris, we stayed in the 19th along the Villette canal and loved it. Not crowded and more laid back. I would love to learn about other off the beaten path areas. Merci!
First of all, Happy New Year to you two. Secondly, the Marais is my favourite part of Paris. Beautiful ancient properties. Lots of places to eat, and museums to visit. Perfect. Thank you so much!
mine too!
I stayed in Le Marais when in Paris in October, and I’ve decided that the 3rd arrondissement is for me when I visit again. It was so walkable, and where I stayed was very much a neighborhood neighborhood.
Initially, I thought you were going to encourage us to branch away from the Marais, which is a great idea but I still laughed! You two have many talents, not the least of which is to introduce us to the delights of every place you have taken us. So I laughed because if you want to encourage us away from the Marais, you will have to take yourselves away so that we fall in love with other regions. I know, I know. What have you been doing for the last 3+ years if NOT that? But the initial bark of laughter was because of where I thought you were going in the first 30-40 seconds of the video. Reality did not play a role in what I was thinking. Great video! I kept rewinding (I know) to catch the name of the Patisserie but failed miserably.
Your guide is FANTASTIC! I didn’t realize how interactive it is until I tried to save it as a document to access it off line. It has been VERY well done!
It would be very helpful if when you mention a street or eatery that you add a caption with the name of the street/eatery.. Thanks!
❤😂I like how your husband dances in his seat while eating his tasty breakfast..😂I do this as well
😅
Really love your videos! Tiny suggestion without trying to criticize: I think it would be helpful to pronounce French words the French way. Le Marais is not le marey, or hotel de ville, crêpe... I understand it may be easier for English speaking people to understand what you're saying when you slightly give the words an English pronunciation, but I have noticed our English speaking guests (we welcome guests in our holiday rentals here in Burgundy) really appreciate it when I tell them how to pronounce things correctly when they go out into the area here. It helps them be understood by the locals. And with Antoine being a native it should be easy for you to do?
Do keep making these videos! They are so informative and helpful!
I spent two wonderful weeks in Paris -- on a budget. My son and I stayed in an Airbnb in the suburb of Montreuil. It would be nice to see a video where to stay for those of us who have a limited budget; which suburb is safe, which one is convenient, etc
Thank you for the suggestions for those of us with mobility issues! Very much appreciated.
J'aime bien vos capsules gastronomiques. André,de Montréal,Québec.
Excellent! I lived in Le Marais for two months last spring and you captured it really well here. Once I learned about Marché des Enfants Rouge, that’s where I spent more and more time with friends. It’s just enough off the beaten path that you don’t see as many tourists. And the people-watching is fantastic.
Loved this. Can you please do a video catering to families with younger children? Suggest some family friendly spots to eat, things to do? Would be so appreciative.
Great idea!
Les Frenchies Are the Best!! Merci!!
My husband and I just returned from Paris this past December. Although this recommendation is in a very different area, this music club was the highlight of our trip.
It is called:
Les Chopes des Puces.
It is a “Jazz Hot” style music club and restaurant/cafe. The music happens in Sunday afternoons I believe and the music was out of this world GREAT. It is rumored that Django Reinhardt himself started this club. Don’t walk, run to this place! Also told to avoid this area at night but also a very extensive market, kind of high end, maybe catering to decorators, not sure, that is worth walking through. This is one of those experiences that will stay with me forever. Any trip back to Paris will include a Sunday afternoon here.
Bonjour guys. Love Le Marais, always go to eat gallet there in Le Breize cafe, the best😁… ah! And the character Le cochon has the beeeest jambon au beurré !
Doing a deep dive into the neighbourhoods of Paris is a spectacularly good idea. And the Marais is obviously one of the best and you’ve represented it beautifully here. I do have to challenge your view that the lineup at L’As falafel is not worth standing in. That line up moves quickly and if a falafel could be life-changing, well, that’s the one that is. :-) thank you for yet another delectable peek into Paris that goes beyond the surface and into the real magic of the city.
Perhaps, but the Falafels in nearby places are every bit as good (at least one even better). Also, as Sunstone who appreciated small business, I dungy like that the owner of L'As du Fallafel bought the building across the way where another restaurant was and rolled their tent because he didn't want competition. In my opinion, that's dirty business. I'm not a fan.
@@LesFrenchiesTravel fair enough. A back story I was not aware of. Will no longer recommend.
Bonjour.....HAPPY 2024. Love Le Marais and Place des Vosges holds a special place in my heart......
Great video ! Also, those sandwiches at 8:17 look absolutely delicious !
Thank you so much for the videos and the free guide. My wife and I have looked for small family hotels in Paris owned and run by parisians. Yes romantic but surely not impossible. ⚘️
Based on your recommendations, we stayed in Le Marais for a week in early November, 2023. We were at the Parisianer Hotel, right next to the Gare de Lyon. Well located on a quiet street, we slept very well. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area, especially around Place de la Bastille. A lot of great patisseries and restaurants in the area. Easy to walk or take the Metro! Thanks again to Colleen and Antoine!
Thank you guys we love your recommendations 😍
I enjoy your videos! So much terrific information and bonus eye candy footage of Paris.
We stayed at the Villa Beaumarchais on Rue de Arbusquires in 2010. It was quiet at night, provided a fantastic breakfast and had a very friendly staff.
I have a stay planned at this hotel later this year!
BIG Thank-YOU! Your firsthand experience communicated in detail makes such a difference!
Thank you! What a great video!
It would be good to understand the importance and value of a city as beautiful as a postcard, as beautiful as Picasso's paintings, that's my opinion. I will be off the coast of Paris on a boat to admire the view
As always, lovely video as well as informative. I always stay at a Ritz Carlton hotel. Personally it’s for the points and..well there usually pretty nice too. Happy new year 🎉. Looking forward to 2024 😊
Awesome vlog about my favorite nabe in Paris! So good it was named after me 😅
This vid is a keeper!
On our last visit to Paris, September 2019 (alas too long ago) we stayed in a comfortable Airbnb in Rue des Blancs Manteaux. A lovely quiet street. The Eglise Notre-Dame des Blancs Manteaux, just a few metres along from where we stayed, is beautiful inside and has lovely acoustics.
I hope you show some love to Belleville in one of your videos. Love that neighborhood. Le Marais is a little too in love with itself for me, but I do love to drop in for some shopping or a meal.
Will do!!
Awesome video! Makes me want to flight right now to Paris! ✈️ 🇫🇷 Would you do a similar video about Saint-Germain-des-Prés & Latin Quarter?
Coming soon!
🤗
Went to a Uniqlo store in Le Marais where you can customize your t-shirt (UT me!). Saw some good restaurants in the area too. Loved the area!
A very helpful and useful video here and it is pleasing to the eye.... As always an amazing episode...💙
The street “Rue de Braque” in Le Marais is where we stayed for five days at an Airbnb. And then I found out after research, that this street is listed as one of the most beautiful streets in Paris, and it was. It was perfect. 👍
Thanks for sharing!
@@LesFrenchiesTravel 👍😀💜
I love rue de Braque. I live right next to it, but I've always loved how when you turn the corner into that street if feels like you're suddenly thrown into a medieval town with a castle at the end
LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos. Tks guys
happy new year🎉😊😊😊 thanks for sharing 😊😊😊great video👍
I will certainly use your advice on my next trip to Paris, just love your videos from an Aussie gal 🇦🇺
Love this. Thanks for links you mentioned?
Thank you! You are doing good job!
❤Happy New Year..excellent video
I always find your videos so informative! You guys are such a lovely couple! I will be in Paris in April!
AMAZING❤🎉
Great video ❤
Your awesome and awesome video be safe out there happy new year

Im so glad I found you. Going to Paris in October
We are flying there to this neighborhood tonight!! Can't wait!
Thank you!
Thank you for the best advice for visiting Paris on RUclips. And for the hotel guide plus the link to Vincent's tours. I recommend your channel to everyone going to Paris. Again, thank you.
Thank you
Sending you the best!
Happy New Year you two! I love your videos! The best travel food porn on the Tube! I’ll be visiting in June and again in October. Making a list that I have confidence in - thanks to you both. I’ve said this before - I’m vegan - (heart issues) - but get my vicarious naughty food fix via your videos - keep it coming! I’ll be investing in your guides for sure! ❤
❤ Thank you... will be visiting in August ❤
I love Le Marais. Heading there on Weds!
Thank you for this video. Wonderful.
You're very welcome!

I’d love a video with ideas on where and how to rent a studio for a month or two stay
Très splendide et superbe vidéo culturelle e touristique de la semaine
Happy New Year! I’ve stayed in the Marais twice in Airbnbs and it’s my favorite neighborhood. So much to do and eat.
The food looks scrumptious!
I love watching you guys take us around Paris. You two have so much fun. I got a lot of useful information from this video and will probably watch it a couple more times before we go.
Awe, thank you!
I lucked out when I accidentally found your video blogs. Excellent and fantastic information. It’s been a few years since I was in Paris (actually pre 911), so your information is invaluable. Merci!!❤😘
We were in Paris in 2015 on a APT tour. We stayed at the Hotel Du Collectionneur. The food and drinks were expensive however the room and service was good.
Your videos are fantastic!!
Thank you 😊
Brilliant.
Have you guys bought your tickets for the Olympics yet? You must be so excited!
You two do a great job of reviewing Paris. I appreciate it. I found your videos very helpful for my stay this past October.
I would appreciate your take on the upcoming Paris Olympics in 2024. Many travel sites have advised to stay away during that period of time (26 July - 11 August). I would never consider a trip to France during August anyway, but I'm wondering about the advisability for travel both before and after the games. I suspect that prices will be elevated, not only during the games but also before. But what about afterward?
These pitas looks so delicious
❤❤thrift shops
My daughter and I stayed at Hotel de Jobo last summer and absolutely loved it! The smell (rose!), the decor, the staff, the location, even the tiny elevator. We still talk about it fondly. Love your videos, Les Frenchies!
Awe, that's awesome. Thanks for letting us know.
LOVE❤❤❤
❤❤❤excellent video
Thank you 🤗
My husband and I are planning our 10 year anniversary trip to France and your videos have been SO VERY helpful to the planning process! I think we are going to spend a day or two in Paris (I'm going to have to do more research with you videos for these days in Paris), visit the Musee Monet, go visit Mont Saint Michelle, stop and visit some towns on the way to Bordeaux, then go get some macrons and wine taste! Allez, on y va!
We are staying the 1st, I may need to add the neighborhood on list of places to visit. Love the videos.
I now know where I’m gonna stay in Paris next year!
You guys have a fantastic channel
Great walk. Where did you have the pita sandwiches? They looked fantastic but I didn’t catch the name.
I thoroughly enjoy your informative channel. I will be traveling to Paris and other European cities in the very near future. Question:
Years ago, I travelled on Eurail and found I could use the Information Kiosk, designated by 'I' at major train stations to make reservations for hotels and train travels. This was years ago. Do those Information Kiosks still exist for travelers to make hotel/pensione/accommodations bookings upon arrival? I found them to be very useful which gave me lots of flexibility with my itinerary instead of booking ahead with fixed accommodation.
Your views are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I really enjoy your videos. They’re very informative and you both are so bubbly and approachable. One pet peeve from today’s video - please stop mispronouncing “le Marais” as LAY Marais!! It would be the equivalent of saying “I’m going to THEY Bronx” in New York !
And if you did say THEY Bronx, no one would blink twice and everyone would understand you.
They would understand you, but it would label you an outsider. Take time to learn to pronounce things correctly.@@EuropeOnANickel
Going to be in LeMarais next week.
Q: Le La Les
A Le
Stayed in le Marais years ago. Great location.
Okay Le Merais noted! Never heard of it.
Le Marais means swamp. It was the mostly marsh area just north of Notre Dame cathedral. A big portion of Le Marais is the Jewish neighborhood of Paris. Best Bagel, cream cheese, and Lox you'll have in your life.
Yes....that's an official challenge 😉
#96 bus best bus to Marais...and then into the 11 th which is also cool...
I really enjoy your videos. I used to walk in Paris and its museums until my feet were blistering. Last year, my wife and I traveled with our 1yo, and it was easy to find a playground and then visit museums while she napped. We’re now planning a trip with our girl when she’ll be 2 1/2. Any recommendations of attractions for toddlers? Mercy!
it’s “Le” Marais,” not “Les” Marais
Excellent.Do you guys know Jay Swanson's channel?
My Airbnb is literally one block from the River Seine, and next to Sorbonne Universite, Pierre et Marie Curie Campus. Not sure if that's considered the Latin Quarter or St Germaine. It's a studio that costs $106 per night, and accepts my petit teckel. 10 days of leisure strolls and picnics in the month of May, watching the locals go about their day.
That's Latin Quarter. One of my favorite areas ♡
Hi just wondering when the Olympic arena will go up. We wanted to visit 10-14th July? Do you think we should change the date as it says a few land marks will be being used. Thanks
Am running for the flight now! Hubs and I are celebrating our 41st anniversary
in March. Thank you for mentioning the LBGTQ clubs. Hopefully I shall get to
show John Paris.
Thanks for this new video. Where do you buy bus tickets in le marais?
The bus takes the same ticket as the metro (the t+ ticket). Buy them in a metro station.
I took 3 years of French in high school...that was 20 years ago. I had all the troublemakers in my class, so I barely learned anything. Over time, I forgot the little that I learned. However, watching your videos, its starting to come back to me. I am remembering the basics...how to introduce myself, ask if someone speaks English, order food, etc. I plan on going to Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Plan on spending 5 days there, and 3 days in Paris. I love chocolate and cheese fondue. Any recommendations?
Please make a video about it ❤

Great tour but pronouncing "le" as "lay" hurts my ears. 😅
Le Crur mie Le Français ❤
Finviolaén ( another Latin language) Just like French Spanish Italian Portuguese and etc !
Finviolaén is Critically endangered LATIN language ❤😅
It is about to Extinct and ended and you can't get any description of it in Google that's sad
Could you please do a video on how to get from CDG to the Eiffel tower or other attractions? For people who have layovers 😅 I live in the US, specifically the DC area, and I honestly find our metro a lot easier to use
They’ve actually already done a great video on public transportation in Paris. It helped us navigate our way through the city successfully. *Be sure to follow their advice about not overpacking because you will encounter a lot of stairs on the way out of the train stations.*
I'd say take the Roissy bus, which will drop you at l'Opéra. From there, you can walk to the Eiffel tower, or take bus 42.
I always avoid the metro in Paris because you can't see anything underground!
C'est mon quartier et je l'aurais sûrement fait visiter moins bien que vous... J 'ai découvert vos vidéos récemment et je vous adore. Bravo à vous !
Merci!
About the macarons, you said the best ones were made by "Richard"? I need to find that little shop.
Richart in Saint Germain. We did a video looking for the best macarons in Paris. Theirs are amazing.
Once again..great info. I wonder if french bacon is distinctly different in taste from our standard 🇺🇸 bacon, i.e. Oscar Mayer? Didn't try but I would think it's smokier, earthier, fresh off the farm.
LOL... basin in France is like thin slices pork deli meat. Think Canadian bacon, only super thin!
Thanks..don't you love autospell!@@LesFrenchiesTravel
@carolmartin4413 🤣
Last time I visited Paris, we stayed at an Airbnb in le Marais (two couples), and I much preferred it to staying at a hotel, even a nice one. Having your own kitchen and living area makes such a difference, especially when travelling with friends, and not dealing with a front desk or staff just feels more relaxed. Gives you the opportunity to take advantage of the shops to stock yourselves up for snacks/apero and live less like a tourist and more comme un vrai parisien! Also, as a tourist, I love how bike-friendly the city is now, althogh I bet most parisians are annoyed by it.
I am coming < in the spring 🌴🌴Aloha
