my ex gf when this song would come on would sing her heart out. the creases in her face when she would close her eyes and sing to the top of her lungs whenever it came on no matter where, in the car, bathroom, while working from her desk at home anywhere. for the life of me i couldn't understand why this song got her started the way it did. Personally this was one of the songs that were on the bottom of my favorite lists after hearing it for the first time, just didn't win me over was too in love with everything else to truly enjoy this masterpiece . Over time though it grew on me, and more importantly when her and a I separated through deep reflections and looking back on moments we shared and even this moment remembering her listen to this she was singing her heart out about me. Word for word, she knew the darkness i burdened, through it all i tried to love her and keep a smile on her face but i was not perfect. i lied and cheated, but i think she knew and stuck through it wow what a woman. but thats over now going on 2 years and then some. hope wherever she is she's happy and thriving because if anyone deserves it, its her for sure. Kenny G with a masterclass performance as well.
