Degenesis looks like an interesting idea. Seems pretty much DM vs players with less abstract RPG mechanics and more tactical (at least at a quick glance.) Sadly I just backed Rove, so I’ll have to wait for trades/ retail on clan wars
Aren't you tired of all the things coming out that will be forgotten in the next few years and nobody will care about? There will always be the next new shiny thing, but the amount of stuff that Comens out nowadays in this hobby is absurd. We need to care only for those few forever games, which are very rare, maybe one or two a year at most.
The game looks amazing! It’s obvious SMV has poured their heart into this project. I’ve been loving the chats with the various team members explaining their creative process.
Not revealing all these "surprise" items is hurting the campaigns for my personal backing of an item. CMON is also so so far behind on delivery on Cthulhu. I've slowed on backing companies that haven't delivered on numerous crowd funded campaigns. If, and this is a huge IF, I can get done with all the games I have on my "to play" list, I will start looking at backing some things again. Planning my 2026 and 2027 games this year, I'm fine with seeing if I still feel the same when these games actually start to deliver.

Secrets of Zorro is my surprise of the week. I didn't know it was coming and it looks interesting. It wasn't compelling enough to go after the 1st 48 hr standees, but I'll definitely be considering backing it.
Setup an overnight for the kids. Take the missus on a train ride (not too long) to another city. Have a romantic dinner and stay overnight in a hotel. Travel is a great gift!

at about 6:45 minutes: I agree, I think all games should make dual layer Player Boards the standard. It's such a great QoL improvement that it should be just a Deluxification.
This is definitely a fun hobby for me. The crowdfunding side of things not so much... More and more red flags and maybe a few backs / late pledges this year to complete my collection with some specific games / mechanics / themes...

You mentioned “kudos” for CMON showing the all-in, but Degenesis is basically the same as The Dead Keep preorder disguised as a campaign - only difference is they are slowly showing you what will be in the box(es). DC United will be a campaign proper, with stretch goals and add-ons revealed along the way.
😂 you do know stretch goals are ‘fake’ as in, they are already there regardless of the funding reached. It’s just the gap in between that gets adjusted to shift with the level of funding. DC united is a babies game for babies btw 😂
