Hey Chris, would you consider pointing out if a campaign you're covering did the $1+ pre pledge fomo? Trekking was one of them. It's not the easiest to check once a campaign launches.
Yeah, CMON got Bordlandia a sale by being greedy. I bought the smuggler expansion and base game 136 delivered. I will have the game next week instead of March 2025. Boardlandia has it 10% off.
Have you seen Rogue Seas? I just recently found it and think it looks pretty solid! I thought maybe you could cover it in a future video. Really excited to see it get funded. Thanks for your content! I always enjoy it
I missed the first Dune Kickstarter and was hyped for this one, but after seeing the prices (price + shipping + 23% VAT) and that you can get the base game with exclusives only as an add-on, I just quit. And (maybe I'm wrong) preordering something to receive in March 2025 when you can get it second-hand or in retail (without exclusives)... No thank you. I'm a little bit disappointed with CMON, like usual. Although I tend to like CMON games, I always get them in retail or on the second-hand market, so I never backed a CMON project and probably never will.
I didn't get the 1st version of Trekking the World, so 20% off + free shipping on this 2nd edition sounds good. I could probably get it for a few bucks less from an OLGS, but then I'd need to buy 2-3 other games to get free shipping...
I'm so proud that they have done a so good 1st backer friendly re-campaign of DUNE. It's more expensive it's bundled... it's great. I like the middle finger in this situation! I don't want a more cheaper re-campaign for 2nd backer or backer that have so hated against the origin campaign. So peace, take your middle finger somewhere else ;) And It's not a re-print campaign it's as the name says: A campaign for the Addon "Desert Wars" so it's normaly, that this is the base pledge ;) I was a 1st backer and it was a risk if this game is success or not. I've gone ALL-IN and had luck. I could have sold it for a lot of money, but I still have it on my shelf and am happy to be able to play it
Fyi underdog advisors aren't paid. They are fans of the company they request feedback through engagements. Like feedback on artwork, perspective game ideas, and rule book drafts etc Not a dig, your videos are great and insightful.
Crazy how people will belittle you for pointing out that a price increase is inherently negative for consumers just to cope with the fact they're getting it now. CMON shilling continues despite some of their poor practices including the worst shipping prices on crowdfunding
Ada's dream having a historical booklet as a stretch goal and consulting historians to increase historically accuracy, then throwing it all over board because of muh representation is really a sign of the times. Currently backing the deluxe edition, the scoring mechanic on the player board seems like a good gimmick.
This is a factually incorrect video. (Talking about Dune). Get your facts straight, you’re better than this. The statement about plastic tokens for the expansion in particular. They added that after people spoke up about it in comments, originally we’re not going to do it because the cost was going to be so high to make an extra for just ~7 tokens.
Pengy Pals is indeed now funded! Thank you for mentioning our game and sharing your thoughts :)

I believe Valerius did too
your frustrations with cmon on dune are valid… hear ya and feel ya bud! Have a Great Weekend, too!
Dune is a no-brainer if you like those types of games

On the topic of the plastic tokens in the expansion. CMON added them to the expansion recently due to backer demand

20:00 Phantom Ink is a very fun game. I just have to say that! 😀

You're not wrong. I'm in the same boat as you and had the same reaction when I saw the prices. CMON is getting annoyingly greedy.

Trekking the world has free shipping for US backers, seems like a great deal.

They also don't have the spacing guild expansion available this time around.
well my issue is that I can't find reviews of the Desert War expansion in the campaign reviews section.
What makes you want the Dune exclusive edition base over the standard base game?

I don't know how you find the time now, with kids and a job.

Just get the smugglers expansion lol
