I really how its passing the torch like Afterlife. I feel like people need to understand that Ghostbusters aren't just 4 people, its a business. And like a business, it evolves and grows as time goes. With Frozen Empire, we're in a sort of "Batman beyond" era for the franchise where their equipment is modified and improve and ghosts are getting bigger and dangerous. There's a lot of places they can go from here.
My only problem is still the kids, I don’t like the Stranger Things feel. I wish they’d kept Ghostbusters as an adult blue collar buddy comedy.
I'm starting to become worried we will never get to see Jason cry watching a trailer again....

Also Jason, since this movie is supposed to be inspired by The Real Ghostbusters cartoon does that mean Slimer will be a part of the subplot in any form? Like will he help the team save the day much like his cartoon counterpart did on many occasions. Of course I don't think we'll see the green spud talking or Sliming Peter every 15 minutes and Peter yelling Slimer!! LOL! Or does Slimer have small scenes like he did in Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II? 👻🚫🎥🎬

I really enjoyed this video, I am sure there will be lots of comedy moments in Frozen Empire, you've got Bill, Dan, Ernie, Annie, McKenna, Carrie, Finn, Paul, Logan, Celeste and top of that comedian James Accaster and they're all very funny. Can't wait to see it at the cinema. Keep up the good work.
Looking forward to it. The subway ghost chase gives a vibe from Ghostbusters: The video game. Hopefully there’s a couple of nods/ Easter eggs for it.
I would love to see some of the proton pack upgrades from the game show up like the Meson Collider.

I don’t I hate repeat lines for throwback, you’d not say the same things like that it was a time of the moment thing
If you want to hear lines from the original why not just watch the original. I hated Afterlife for many reasons, but right near the top of the list was its cynicism in pandering to nostalgia. In spite of having a different setting and a license to go its own way, all it did was refer to the original movie in uninspired ways.
My only gripe is mini pufts, shouldn’t be here without gozer

Let’s face it, it didn’t make sense last movie either, but they are cute and fun. Ray was the one that chose the Stay Puft as the destructor, not Gozer. The reason they are in the movies is people love Stay Puft and you always want to see more of him.
@@Ray-dl5mp Last movie I saw it as the form had been chosen and since we stopped Gozer in GB1 the form is still active to complete its mission. So when Gozer's energy was coming back the mini-pufts were manifested from this. So yeah I still think Gozer is a main thing when it comes to Stay-puft and mini-pufts

unless in this lab they are saying they can observe ghosts they've trapped in a museum style viewing case of the containment unit...possible. But that mean we see Gozer in there sulking?

Library ghost has 2 jobs- shushing people and symmetrical book stacking. Nobody stacks books like that.
Please don't kill off Peter, they need his comedic lines to lighten the mood.. Have Peter, Dana and Oscar off living their lives a way from the Ghostbusters if need be but please no more OG deaths please.

Perhaps out of a multiversal portal, that is my hope.. post credits Scene setting up the 'Ghostbusters World' sequel, making it a multiverse film! Imagine.. Ray, Winson, Phoebe, Holtzmann, Kylie, and Lars.. that would rule!

Overall it's fine, but I'm disliking how much they're STILL relying on fanservice to sell it. We didn't need Peck OR the Library Ghost back. And despite all that, they're STILL not using the damn theme in the trailers!
Yes but if they use the Ghostbusters theme in the last trailer , then it makes sense. You can overdo the song. I also wonder how expensive it is for them to use the song in the trailers.
This will be the best Ghostbusters frozen empire movie ever, can't wait to see it in theaters in March 22nd, and can't wait to see the return of Slimer and the mini pufts, and can't wait to see new ghosts characters and the new ghosts garraka in the movie 👻🚫❄️😁😎

Ya missed the part where, when the firefighters are investigating the frozen people, it’s set at the turn of the century!! Those uniforms were worn around the 1900’s, so that must be a flashback or introduction to the golden orb!
The fire department is also Hook & Ladder 8, the home of the Ghostbusters.
@@SpaceWizardCosplay yep, and the production name is firehouse, onto the fact that they seem to be revisiting library from the 1st movie.
I bet there’s a connection to the firehouse itself almost as if they were somehow “drawn” to it in the 1st place, adding to the supernatural element of everything.

Peck is the missing link between the first movie and the new ones; he speaks for the viewers when criticizing the kids as ghostbusters; it gives substance; even if I think now that Egon was giving to Phoebe the strenght to wear and use the pack from the beginning. Hoping Peck is a challenge for Venkman. 2:58 Peck is standing in front of Winston; possibly sided with the ghostbusters and called the reporters to warn the city; maybe a scene near the end?
I wish they wouldn't have shown Slimer, for the surprise. And here, for a haunted pile of junk, Trevor seems to be coming with only a trap... and he uses his foot as a PKE to see if it's paranormal... hmm, well, let's wait for the movie; that trap disconnecting makes it funny.
For Eleanor, so unexpected... and sexy too... but I hope there's a reason for her presence.

But wasn't Gozer trapped in the Dirt Farm? How would he comeback?
some scenes seem to show that Frozen breaks the containment unit; but the trailer presents a "bigger one"? confusing. StayPuft is supposed to be Gozer; the minipufts don't make sense but, if they are still around, Gozer must be too? Once summoned, in the first movie, Gozer didn't need a shape to be all powerful, making earthquake and telling the ghostbusters to chose a new form; so, if Gozer was put in the containment unit before Frozen destroys it, I like to think that the escaped entity is watching - the portal didn't send it back this time - and, in the end, wouldn't accept the presence of a new god; the best would be that their dual throws them in a different dimension or Gozer will never end. @Mymy_Gaming_channel_64
Peck denying seeing anything is one thing. But he was doused in about 300,000 gallons of marshmallow. Did he just block that out from PTSD?

I loved the trailers. The international trailer was better. The only negative I had was the subway dragon CGI looked bad. Not 2016 Ghostbusters CGI bad but maybe it just looked bad because it's meant to be translucent. It's great we are going to get an original story and if the movie performs well, which it should, it will be safe to say we can expect more movies.
I was thinking the same thing about the ghost, then I thought maybe it was a nod ( not sure why) to the 2016 Ghostbusters movie. Just a thought.
I thought the whole point of the ghosts is to look similar to the first film. They don’t have to look amazing because they are ghosts.
I've never seen Ghostbusters as a true comedy. Everyone pretty much played it straight and much of the humor came from them dealing with crap out of their league. Yeah, there were some funny lines, but it really wasn't played as an all-out comedy. One of the problems, besides the writing, was all four Ghostbusters tried to out funny the other. It was a Costello, Costello, Costello, and Costello movie. No one played it straight. This seems to play in the same feel as the original.
I am going to support this one like all the others before but it's not made for the 1985 crowd. Dan did not write them. Dan's original BG 3 script transformed Manhattan into hell.
I’m not gonna watch the movie cos of the librarian she’s always horrified me I don’t like her at all I had a hunch that she would of made a return cos of the lion statue being shown coming alive and I knew ah fuck that’s the library I know exactly what’s gonna happen and I know I shouldn’t watch the next trailer but I did and now I’m terrified but now seeing her in slow motion she’s not that terrifying when show in slow motion but her and Rey reuniting is kinda cool I guess

Eleanor Twitty, the grey lady (library ghost is back). Part of me questions her presence due to what we know went down with her and the collector. You would think shutting down the node of a mandala would earn her trust.
Hot take: James Acaster's character gets possessed by that horned creature when he touches that orb a la Vigo possessing Ray in GB2. They show him touch it and start to freeze... then theres a shot of the creature in the research lab going after Lucky and he doesn't have the horns yet. I think the ghost transforms Acaster's character and escapes the lab, goes to retrieve his big creepy horns, and then starts causing mayhem around the city. And part of defeating him will be rescuing the man underneath. You heard it here first.
Not sure what Peck is talking about in that scene, i thought he was referring to the events of Afterlife as nobody really witnessed most of that. The Real Ghostbusters comparisons are interesting, GB2 already did that and Afterlife did give is a brief look at one of the toy line ghosts. Excited
I hope that we're going to get a GCU a Ghostbusters cinematic universe that kind of hope that they go to route the way the comics did and they expand the business all over with just different teams of Ghostbusters with the main head office of course being in NYC
I’m sure that Peck did believe the Ghostbusters were real after seeing stay puft. But, he’s the type of character who would shove it down deep enough, to keep believing he is in the right.
Whoever said Ghostbusters was a comedy it definitely has funny scenes and comedic antics in it but when I saw the first one in 1984 it scared the s*** out of me granted I was 4 years old but who cares this movie this trailer this new Ghostbusters it looks like a franchise has finally come home .
Loved the trailer and so wish I had even a fraction of your collection its a amazing and your clothes are also cool. Just sucks being poor and fat from all the meds. But ghostbusters will always be in my heart
All I hope is yes, we get more of these films, I love the franchise, I just dont want another MCU situation

Patton Oswald was the only thing I didn't care for. That being said, I will still see it in theater and enjoy. I can get past the Patton stuff.
It's a thin line to walk, but I feel ghostbusters is managing the "transition" better than Jurassic Park or Star Wars.
The trailers look great. the new Ghost boss reminds me of Saim Hein except for the head. Glad they are creating new ghosts while having a couple nods to the old ones.

I don't have time for the kind of people who disrespect you for loving this and ALL its glorious "member-berries". Much like Walter Peck, I TOO, have been waiting 40 years for this. And I will relish every single solitary second. Each individual Frame of footage. This movie was made for YOU AND ME. My inner 4 year old came screaming to the surface watching this today. And he will not be silenced.

The parts that stood out to me the most were all of the comedic scenes. Most of them you had mentioned earlier in the video.
My son has ghostbusters playmobil toys and the echo 1 came with Janine in a GB jumpsuit. This came out back in 2017-2020. I wonder if they drew inspiration from that as well.
Ghostbusters Playmobil are awesome! :D i also have the ECTO-1 with Janine, and these toys (as also this movie) took inspiration on the Real Ghostbusters cartoon from the 80´s where Janine was an active member of the team 👻🚫

I just love how they kept the glowing eyes effect on the evil ghosts. Slimer is going to be done justice. I still want to see interaction with the OGs giving a nod to RGB. And I'm loving the new containment unit at the research lab. Once again a nod to RGB, compared to the small red twinkie in the wall that already went through heavy damage.

I really don't understand why people think some of the cast is going to die. Nothing and I mean nothing hints at none of that.
While some lead characters could die, comment was more just towards random people and civilians, as in The Death Chill racking up a body count throughout New York.
This channel did a video on some comments in December that could point in that direction. Unclear though.

I ain't gonna lie to you...I was looking forward to seeing you react to the trailers and your feelings toward them, but seeing you already watched them and you are just explaining them is a huge let down....honestly, your reactions to the first ones were what brought me to your channel, so no reaction you are basically like any other channel, sorry. I mean they could, but story wise…why would she want anything to do with the Ghostbusters unless she was married to Peter. Which is possible, but then they already are trying to make it an exciting movie for Janine and you got the younger actors. I think it would be too much. I wish/hope Louis is doing their accounting. That would be legendary.

@@Ray-dl5mp Me too! Many fans mention Oscar and Louis Tully as well. I'm not sure that Rick Moranis will make an appearance. It would be very special to have him. Would be nice to get a mention of his character. I don't think he had a good experience on the 2nd film which mirrors Bill's experience. Maybe Rick would come back as a tribute to Ivan Reitman.
This has a the real ghostbusters/extreme ghostbusters feel. I can't wait this is going to be a amazing movie.
