Thanks for watching Tesco UK Low Carb Food Haul | Keto Grocery Shopping in England! :)
If you think Tesco is cheap, wait until you go to Aldi or Lidl!
I shopped at Lidl the other day and yes, it's soooo cheap!
We get 95% of our shopping from Aldi!
Convent Soup is not really keto just to let you know 100g is 9g of carbs which is nearly half recommend carbs for the day. Plus, it contains cornflour. Best to make your own if you are gonna buy pre-made soup from Tesco whilst in UK I recommend Cully and Sully Chicken and Vegetable soup as 100g is 2.4g carbs, however, it does contain yeast extract.
Welcome to the wet and windy UK! I have converted to keto and used many US keto you tubers for advice and teaching. However we are miles behind in terms of availability of sugar free food in our supermarkets. I am obsessed with reading the ingredients when out shopping and astonished to find how much sugar is added to ordinary savouy groceries. Very few people have heard of Ketosis and are still fixed on buying low fat foods. Good luck with your UK shopping and pick your eating out carefully - no naked burgers here! Xx
Thanks for your comment. Yes, it is a little tricky to find Keto foods, but they are there! I enjoyed burgers at Five Guys which had some Keto Options. (It was when I was in Oxford, but I believe there are a number of locations around the UK!) :)
Just found your vlog , im just about to start the keto diet as i need to lose weight ! As im a complete beginner, ive read that you can suffer from fatigue and listless, how long does it usually last ? great vid by the way and you've gained a new subscriber! Happy new year !
They have them in Aldi as well
Thank you for sharing your grocery haul. I live in England and didn't realise how lucky we are with regards to prices and selection of food. You kind of get used to it and take it for granted. Funnily enough to I'm going to be travelling to Australia next week to visit my daughter, so I will be experiencing grocery shopping in Australia for the first time which will be fun. Any suggestions for where to shop, favourite keto foods please? Thank you for all your videos I love watching them and I has been lovely following all your travels too. Xxx
Thanks! Yes, you’re spoilt for choice with access to produce from all over Europe and beyond! I shopped heaps at Aldi or Coles in Australia, I have lots of hauls on my channel where I’ve shared my favourite finds at both! My favourite burgers out and about are at Burger Project, which are in Melbourne and Sydney. I get a burger in a bowl and it’s amazing! Enjoy your trip to Australia!
Yummy Inspirations Fantastic! Thank you for your reply. I will check out your grocery hauls and I will definitely have to try the burger in a bowl at burger project. Enjoy your time in England and I hope you soon feel settled when you get to Ireland. Xxx
I use to make shopping mainly at Tesco but I like Sainsbury's too.
you may find it useful to know, if you're used to using pure stevia, that truvia is an erythritol-stevia blend, and in fact i believe it's mostly erythritol. i personally like erythritol (in fact i use pure erythritol) but i know some people prefer stevia.
Thanks for letting me know!
you're welcome!
Thank you very much I appreciated your video.
You’re welcome!
@@YummyInspirations WE need more video, I am kenza living in Birmingham, I started keto diet yestarday. Thank you
I miss England. Would love to see the cabbage soup
I made a massive stew with a lot of the ingredients and I share it in tomorrow’s video! 😊
thank you
Tesco is great!
Yes, it’s excellent!
How long have you been living the keto lifestyle?
18 months, on and off!
Awesome! Was it hard getting your kids to embrace it? Mine were initially resistant on the basis that it isn't "normal."
My kids follow more of a paleo lifestyle, not low carb/keto.
Food haul looks great and very fresh. When you do the comparison of conversion of U.K. Pound to AUD and weight of foods eg berries, how does price compare?
The raspberries said 2 pounds which is approx $3.50 AUD and generally the raspberries sold in Coles and woolies are 125gm (I think) and actually on sale at moment in Australia for $3.90 lowest ever seen.
What size was the punter you bought? So envious of the lower price and also the broader range of products over there. Enjoy😊
It generally works out cheaper in the UK, the quality is also incredible!
Wow lovely grocery, Tesco is pocket friendly! Try also Sainsbury's, they use to have a lot of organics and sure low carbs cauliflower rice, broccoli rice etc.
Great, I’ll check it out!
I went to California last year of a holiday and was shocked at how expensive US food was. I think our grocery prices are kept artificially low due to the poverty and government benefit system here
Besides, though I think some British people still do think aristocratic for food and other things and partially feel distinguished from the majority of peasants! And during Victorian times were an old British stodge begun mixed with exotic spices from all over the Empire, make British people change on how they view for food and price. Today despite being part of Europe we've kept up our links with the countries of the former British Empire, now united under the Commonwealth and that partially means to get things fairly cheaper! One could always would find a very open and contrasted consumer markets in Britain but, at the moment the globalists took over everything, therefor most of good and special tastes in food became unfortunately a past!
I'm more than a little jealous at the selection of stuff you can buy over there, being so close to the US and Europe, but the prices look to be much the same as over here. $2 for a 250gm punnet of strawbs this week at Aldi and they were lovely. The cheeses too look to be about the same price, hopefully they won't increase too much after the Christmas specials are over.
Think I'm just as jealous about the cool weather you're experiencing. It's been really hot and humid in Melb today. :\
Enjoy your time in the UK before you settle in Ireland. I didn't ask before, but N. Ireland or Southern? Hubbies from N. Ireland and I'm from the capital of Ireland - Liverpool! ;)
Yes, I believe it’s been so hot in Melbourne! Meanwhile, we saw a bit of snow this morning in England! The cheese and produce here has been awesome!
Oh and we are looking at areas within an hour of Dublin, not sure of where exactly!
Hope you enjoy my 1st UK Grocery Haul! Let me know if you have any requests for UK Food content while I'm here! :)
Hi I'm just starting tomorrow, I'm English and just making my shopping list, so a handy video thanks.
Do you have any soup recipes that use mint? Pea and mint soup is my favorite and I can't think of an alternative on Keto.
I will make a batch today before I start.
This was great, I have been researching "how to feel full on a low carb diet" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Ronaliana Future Falbala - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my buddy got excellent success with it.
Nice thanks
U need to do a keto or low carb cooking chanel 😃
Would of been half the price in Aldi, even Asda is cheaper than tesco xx
Truvia 99% carb!?!?!?!?!?keto????
The carbs aren't absorbed by the body - we use Truvia, Natvia, or Pure Via in our recipes :)
Tongue ???
