Only got stuck on one weekend, but it was a trick spot. Taking the old '85 Lux farm-hack (bought for a crisp $500) and was mucking around in the scrub offroading. Went over a large dirt mound and as we were coming over the lip it felt too step, went to break and it slid down and sat on the chassis rails, front wheels dangling in the air. Had to wait a week (during hay time on the farm) before we could get it down. The diff and gearbox left a decent mark in the ground as well!

I started my 4WD life in Tassie. 30 years ago this easter, we camped at Arthur River with a fourby club we where in, driving a BJ42. Absolutely amazing part of the world. Another trip was to the Lake Lea area, west of Arthur, and N/W of Cradle. 6 vehicles spent the best part of the day getting bogged and winching to go about 500 m. Now live in Coffs Harbour👍

Shauno, your cooking is so good. hehehe my usual reciepe is :
We call it BellyChon in the philippines.
    1. Pork Belly Slab - have butcher remove the ribs unless you can do it yourself.
    2. Either brine the whole slab overnight with rocksalt and water or just rub rocksalt and pepper all over the meat side of belly then leave it for 15 to 30 Mins to absorb flavor.
    3. place Lemongrass thats tied in middle of slab, then add chopped garlic and chopped onions.
    4. Roll Entire Slab Until it forms spiral shape figure.
    5. Tie the meat with kitchen twine to keep its shape, tie it with twine six or more times depends on the length of slab until it looks like the michelin Man. atleast one inch apart space.
    6. put in oven if you have an oven or put it on low fire and cover it for 3 hours.
    then enjoy eating

My go to meal to cook around the camp fire is a Beer Lamb Stew
In the cast iron pot I put a leg or shoulder of lamb salt and pepper it
Add a long neck or two of beer (stronger flavour the better) And a couple of stock cubes then chuck it on the coals for an hour to help brown it then flip it at the 30 minute mark to brown the other side for another 30 minutes.
Then add potato’s (in quarters) carrots (in quarters) and add some water until it’s about 3 quarters full then put it back on the coals for an hour.
Now add rice (how ever many cups for the amount of mouths you’re feeding) then fill back up to 3 quarters Hugh with water then let cook on a small amount of coals for 30 mins or until the rice is cooked.
Serve with an ice cold beer and enjoy the flavours of a beautiful one pot wonder 👌🏻

Shauno I smiled from ear to ear when you said there's a storm on the way with your cooking. First thought that went through my head is the way you always go heavy on the chillies its probably a Sh..t storm :)

The sound of that 76 is something to put on an alarm clock, it would get anyone up and going, love the looks of it aswell, only if it was as capable as the 80. Amazing convoy in this episode, really difficult to pick a favourite.

This is the best video on RUclips. The lads are hilarious. Used to live in Zeehan and drove some of the local trails after work. What an amazing place.

I love to make a good kangaroo stew up in the camp oven with whatever veggies you can throw in there! Always a fun one to make for your overseas friends
