I attended high school with Cree Summer downtown Toronto at A School of the Arts. I always admired her. I remember she loved Prince and would sing his music all the time. :) I also remember when Rainbow would come to visit the school. He was so little and would run around so happy. It was a very small school so we all knew when he was there. lol. He also became a talent in his own right. Staring in a few seasons of Stargate Atlantis and now a music producer. Thank you for this video and the walk down memory lane !!

What an amazing life path, she was amazing throughout Different World and I was greatly impressed by her voicing the Amazon Queen, Hippolyta, in "Wonder Woman: Bloodlines". Warner Bros. needs to be casting her as Wonder Woman's mother for EVERY animated film, and Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, another powerful voice acter. I was so young during the Inspecter Gadget cartoon series that it surprised me to learn Cree voiced Penny.
Did you really say that the Proud Family and ALL of her Cartoon Voice Work started in LATE 80s??? 😦😦😦 The Cosby Show didn't even start in the Late 80s, let alone A Different World, which put her on the map.
