I always love sharing cool stuff with you Julie!!! For sure your 2 fur kids are gona love them, because they already love treats more than anything!!!!
hi! so my 6 year old dog has some not so good looking teeth but she can still cronch on stuff when she wants. i've been giving her a frozen mat with a tiny bit of peanut butter, some of my young puppies wet food, and a mix of chicken with pumpkin and half a can of green beans. she has addison disease and is medicated, but an anxious dog. she'll lick wet spots on the couch or bed. i think it's slowed down since giving her a mat with her food twice a day. someone close to me said it was abusive to give it to her frozen because her teeth aren't great. i need real advice.
I think that you know your dog better than ANYONE else!!!!!! If she is eating it with no pain, then I wouldn't worry, You could always take her in for a dental cleaning and get any bad teeth pulled..If your super worried... BUT being it a has addisons disease surgery is a MAJOR risk... there are blood tests that need to be done before surgery if that's what your thinking. I would think that the cold might help with the inflammation. I like that it helps curb the anxiety!!! Just make sure your dog is eating enough kcals!
I have lick mats, but mine don't have suction cups and I think that would fix the problem I have, since one of my dogs will try putting the lick mats next to each other and guarding them to try and have the food all for himself.
