On a cold dark day, mood not so good - the kind we all have: this is one of my MAJOR FAVORITES. When things outside are toxic all I need to hear is Snowball protesting that: "it's not FAIR"! and the sun comes out! Thank you Irene, Snowball and all the Crew.....G
I saw Snowball's video when he danced to "Another One Bites the Dust;" I love watching it! I didn't know that he was self-taught in dancing; very smart bird! I have a cockatiel(same family as cockatoo but much smaller)named Chipper who's 13 years young and he's a treasure. Thanks for this video and go Snowball!
parrots are amazing ,i remember when i first saw one parrot which is big and super cute ,i looked directly at his eyes but he's acting like didn't see me ,sometimes i feel there is a human soul inside their body ,i am just so fascinated by them !! please protect and free these free soul , never hurt them
@wolfen150 He will dance on his own. We are currently doing a 2 tempo research study with him which requires me to dance with him because I listen to an altered tempo through headphones while Snowball listens to the original song. The results are very interesting. Irena Schulz - Bird Lovers Only
Love Snowball! "It's not fair!" Cuuuute! Ps: Well not everyone is. vegan yet. Maybe someday. Regardless Snowball and his needful friends are getting a loving home and good care. That's whats important.
@sharkboy214 Yes, this program is seen in Canada and the UK. I wished they would have shown it here in the United States. This is such a nice children's program! Irena Schulz - Bird Lovers Only
@peekoispet Yes, we are very lucky to have Snowball! He supports the entire sanctuary so all the birds are forever in his debt. I loved the air freshener topic, too. I learn something new every day. :D Irena Schulz - Bird Lovers Only
Heh so cute ^^).Your lucky to have a bird like him Irena...I liked your post on FB about the homemade bird "airfreshener" thingy xD Just wanted to say that! Bye now
I saw snowball for the first time 7 months ago so i decided to buy me a 6 week old and train him like snowball I have to tell you Snowball has a twin .I have work on this bird everyday and he has all snowballs moves lifting the legs and the shaking the head and he is only 9 months .I will post some videos very soon to show you
How ironic it is when I read that you bought a monthly old young bird because of Snowball. What Irena and her snowball worked hard for is to persuade people stop buying young parrots because in most cases these lovely bird would be abandoned by their owner and started a miserable re-homing process many manny times for the rest of their life. Irena wants Snowball to inspire people to know there are many abandoned parrots waiting for new home instead of encouraging people to buy baby birds and add more victims to the list. I hope you still have the bird and you made a lifelong promise to the feathered friend. Your bird should have been 4 years old now and you should have found he/she has changed a lot due to sexual maturity. He or She will outlive you, have you well thought of that?
Why be so surprised that this Cockatoo has rhythm and can dance?? It only proofs what I've always said. God only created intelligent beings . 😄😆 Why should only humans have rhythm???
Try some good heavy metal, such as Pantera, Walk. My bird loves it and head bangs to it and can also do various heavy metal screams. These are not easy to do. It's not just yelling, as most believe. It's actually harder than clean vocals. Try your bird out with some metal.
Great video.I really enjoyed watching Snowball dance. You should try have Snowball dance to Judas Priest,Living after midnight, and other heavy metal songs too.Pantera,Walk would be good too.
Snowball was dancing long before Snowball met Irina, She has done Snowball a disservice by dancing with Snowball in this video, as a number of individuals now believe that Snowball is being coached. Snowball IS the coach. She is following SNOWBALL. Look Snowball up in the New York TIMES !!!

If you want to see it in a peer-reviewed journal, look up Ani Patel, who has published several papers documenting that yes, he isn't mimicking anything. And other cockatiels and several other species can also do it.
Really? You have no idea what your comment means? Your comment is perfectly clear, 7 years doesn't change the meaning, and I think my response should be pretty easy to understand. You were doubting that the video is real and not just mimicking, and I was letting you know that yes, this is well-documented, and gave you some info in case you want to look it up and see for yourself. That's all.
At no point during this whole video did Snowball actually dance in synch to the music. But I saw a couple of privately recorded videos ("Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" and "Another One Bites the Dust") in which he actually does match the beat for most of the video. I wonder if this music was redubbed afterward by someone with a poor sense of rhythm.

@@oystercatcher9092 I know, Ive been watching and did research, I said snowball is unique and definitely knows how to Dance, what i meant is that it's good for a parrot to bond closely with it's owner, and the owner is doing a wonderful job with snowball! I don't think that he would be much happy because he helped people to violently murder and eat 50 turkeys, at the end of the day, he could be in their place, they are all birds. So, why you love him and not other birds as well? have you tried to teach turkeys to dance? I mean... gee...

Irene James Yeah because turkeys are perfect for a house pet. They can talk, whistle, and fit perfectly on your arm or finger! It's not like they weigh anything, right? Why can you just take an opinion? Your the type of person who would judge someone because of their gender.
Simply gorgeous and truly entertaining. Well done and keep up your great dancing. 🙏🥰🤗

This bird has his own Wikipedia entry... What am I doing with my life?
Ahahah!
Same thing as the rest of us apparently
At least it has a skill unlike grumpy cat. He has more dance moves than 99% of humans.
Lol did they actually bring the armchair to the event for him so dance on?? :-)))). Love you, Snowball!

Love you, Snowball and Irena, you're beautiful! Thanks for caring for these precious, smart, incredible angels. I'm in Seattle; do you ever come here?
He's following the owners speed of movement!
Lol, Snowball has a better sense of rhythm than the owner.
Does he dance if the owner isn't dancing? Love his dancing either way, IMPRESSIVE!!!
Yes. Absolutely,. I've never seen her dance with Snowball before.
Glad to see Snowball is still at it. Keep Rockin.
Bee Gees! STAYING ALIVE! He'd kii it❤😂

I can tell they cover up the songs because of copyright, still pretty amazing.
That was beautiful -- but at least the kids didn't have to dance to German polka. *ha*

Nope, they have never met each other. Snowball is still waiting. :)
can we get a short video of the... its not fair..I love that!
8 years ago snowball
@greybirdy PS - Is it possible to find a "Snowball" mascot-head anywhere? :) That was really cool!
Snow ball FTW
this is on in the UK I think I've seen this one or if not gonna look out for it

Does Snowball like Stayin' Alive or other disco?
@camerill The video that went viral has a medley of Michael Jackson
But will he dance without following her

You should have Snowball dance to "Applause" by Lady Gaga!!
When Snowball dances to the same music again, does he use the same dance, or does he change it up?
Was that a JLP reference?
Hey I have a sun conure it's name is Harly
What happened to snowball?
It would be so much more credible that he can dance to rhythm if that lady was not dancing w/ him. How do we know he is just not mimicking her moves?
He was actually tested to see if his dancing is innate or just copying people around him... and yes, he dances. :D
Because Snowball has been studied by scientists, written up in the New York Times, on David Letterman, etc. ...

OK. But next time do a real experiment without her coaching Snowball.

Why the cage bad bad bad
Why take money from children for charity?

Scientific my ass. Mimicing the owner's moves. No rythm at all.
