      They already released the 19 inch. It's the Kamvas 19 Pro.
      It includes a pen holder with 2 PenTech 4.0 pens (regular & slim) with erasers. It includes 10 point touch.

      @@amt6307 I agree. I upgraded from the Kamvas 16 (2021) to the Kamvas 19 Pro. 4K + 19-inch screen (actually 18.4) works great. I do a lot of drawings and line art and this is a huge upgrade. With touch and the eraser on the pen, it feels like drawing traditionally.

      It would be interesting if they release a Kamvas 19 but without touch, and price is lower, but obviously stlll gonna be much higher than the 16. 19 is a nice size.

      @@teohontech7141 Huion can reduce the cost of the Kamvas 19 Pro by removing the 2 pens and replacing with the PW600L like the Kamvas 13/16 and Remote. Huion can reduce it further by removing touch and reducing the resolution from 4K to 2.5K. I can see such a version around $700 USD.

    Was looking forward to this release from Huion and it does indeed look promising. I've been wanting to change my setup to something more convenient. Currently I have the latest cintiq pro (which is huge, heavy and inconvenient) and a small old generation intous tablet (which is too small). This Kamvas model is a perfect in between. Very nice and thorough review, thank you! Will use your link.

      The price is fine and as expected. This is basically an upgraded Huion Pro 16 (2.5k), which was $500. It's also mainly competing with the XP-Pen Artist Pro 16 Gen 2, which priced matched at $500.

    Hello! I'm thinking of downsizing from my Cintiq Pro 24, which do you prefer out of the two: The XP Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2) or Kamvas 16 (Gen 3) for work concerning linework??

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  9 дней назад +1

      Huion advantage would be absolute line quality and hotkeys.
      The line tests from XPPen may show slight wobble and jitter but when I'm actually drawing and not testing, the line art looks alright to me. Having said that, I prefer the XPPen because the 16:10 aspect ratio is a huge selling point for me.

    Thank you for an incredibly thorough review! Huion is really stepping up their game. I'm new to, well, new tablets, and I 100% agree the screens should be calibrated. I recently bought the (now old) 16 2.5k display and the colors were bonkers out of the box. I've been clinging to my ancient Cintiq 22HD for nearly a decade as a point of reference. :'D I'd be curious how the Gen 3 vs the GT1602 look side by side!

    can I ask if the surface is smooth and unusable like the glassy display on the Kamvas 22 plus or it is similar to the Wacom or matte screen protector? I find the Huion glass to smooth even with the felt nibs. I came from iPad Pro where the screen protector is sometimes even too rough. In my Kamvas 22 plus the pen goes all over the place, maybe it's my nervous line art, but on my very old cintiq the pen was more controllable.

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  3 дня назад

      It's matte and it's also smooth. Most matte surfaces for pen displays (those that I've tested) are usually smoother. This Kamvas 16 gen 3 is also on the smoother side.
      The thing with screen protectors or matte glass is the rougher they are, the more visual noise, grain or anti-sparkle there is.

      @@teohontech7141 Thank you really!!! I draw comics so in a way I need a Rough Surface for drawing and Inking and a smooth surface for coloring. Illustrator probably don'y need that. That's the main reason I think for choosing iPads over Displays. What you think? Thanks again for your work

      I'm fine with the smoother matte surface. I've gotten use to it. And on my iPad, I don't have a screen protector so I'm drawing on glossy screen and I'm also used to that.

      Difficult to recommend. Huion if you want best pen performance. I personally like Xppen 16 gen 2 because of the 16:10 aspect ratio. I can’t go for 22 inch because too big for my table. 22-inch is good if that is your main and only display because it’s big. For drawing comfort, around 16 inch is big enough, anything larger is a bonus

    Im confused in comparing this to the Huion Kamvas Pro 16 2.5k version. Technically its an upgrade in functionality, but the pro has 125% srgb gamut and 1200 contrast ratio compared to the new ones 1000 ratio. Seems like an odd gap that really lets it down

    Loved the review . I have questions . Why is it that when I write to Huion about having to scale so that the letters and incomes are bigger, they say that one doesn’t have to do that ? :/.
    And please advice me on which one is better to buy , is it this one that has new tech or the kamvas 16 pro/pro plus 4k (which drips to 2.5k when scaling right ?) ?
    Between the kamvas 16 gen 3 and 19 pro can they both be used just by connecting to the computer or just the 16 gen 3?
    And with the 19 pro , one has to do scaling also right ?
    I have a MacBook Air M1 from Jan 2024 256gb and just 8gb Ram 😬 but oh well
    And if you happen to give away the kamvas 16 gen 3 bc you don’t use it please consider me I would take it 😅

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  11 дней назад

      Whether to have UI scaling is just personal preference, and will depend on resolution and size of display.
      But 19 and 16 gen 3 have to connect to computers. These are monitors, not tablets with built-in batteries and OS.

    • @gerryjunpyo2462
      @gerryjunpyo2462 8 дней назад

      Thanks for writing ! I know they are tablets and have to be connected to the laptop I meant to say if one needs to connect them to the power outlet in the wall . The kamvas 16 gen 3 one can use it w just the usbc cable to the laptop right and no other cable to the wall outlet right ? Also the kamvas 16 pro 2.5 one can use it without wall outlet power ? The kamvas 19 pro one needs wall power I imagine
      And saw you wrote above that you prefer thto xp pen gen 2 rather than kamvas 16 gen 3??
      And please if you can I’m so indecisive I dint know if to buy this new tech kamvas 16 gen 3 or the kamvas 16 pro 2.5 which is old but it’s Pro 😩. What’s the real difference ? And they’re the sane price .

    • @gerryjunpyo2462
      @gerryjunpyo2462 7 дней назад

      So which one would you recommend one buys ? The kamvas 16 gen 3 or the kamvas 16 pro/pro plus 4k? I know that the 16 gen 3 is new tech but My concern is that the kamvas 16 gen 3 isn’t Pro I think 😅. So please help with this . Or even the kamvas 16 pro 2.4k? I know that the scaling and resolution depends on preference (like you said ) but As I wrote before , Since I’ve seen ppl complain with the 4k in Mac that anyway they need to scale and that the 4k goes down to 2.5k anyway so why buy the 4k . You know what I mean ? Please if you can
      And in the case of the kamvas 16 gen 3 do you in your opinion and preference need to scale? Or could you paint without scaling ? Bc it would then make it even less than 2.5k. That’s my concern . I’m new w displays so you know , so I have no idea if it’s possible to paint without scaling etc . I know the 16 pro 4k you said one needs to definitely scale bc it’s the icons etc look tooo small .
      And of these that I mentioned, which can I use by just using the usb-C from the display to laptop and WITHOUT having to also plug the cables from computer to the wall outlet ? Oh and the 19 pro 4k one needs to plug to the wall right ?

      @@gerryjunpyo2462 "Pro" is just a marketing term that doesn't really have much meaning nowadays. I was just looking at my review for the Kamvas Pro 16+ 4K and it seems as good as the Kamvas 16 Gen 3. Or should I say the Kamvas 16 Gen 3 is as good as the Pro.
      When talking about scaling that goes down. E.g. 4K down to 2.5K, or 4K down to 1080P, we're talking about the changes in workspace, how big the palettes are, how much canvas space is left. You will still retain the original sharpness. E.g. You can use a 1080P workspace with the sharpness of 4K. As long as you get a pen display with 1440P resolution and above, you don't have to worry much about UI scaling.
      Single USB-C connection is possible for pen displays up to 16-inches. Those larger ones will require additional power and cable.
      Both the new and old models are good. If I have to choose between the two, I go with the cheaper model because you get the same performance at a lower price.

      Oh ok 1440p you said is good and kamvas 16 gen 3 has 1440 so 👌.
      And lastly by cheaper model you mean the kamas 16 gen 3 I asume . Asking bc that one and the Kamvas 16 pro 2.5 k are the same price right now 😅
