    Wow, you have some of the most well defined rear delts I've ever seen. Don't think I ever saw them pop out just like that. It's way more proportionate to the front and side delt, good to see so much effort put into it. I mean, I've seen bigger shoulders for sure, but yours seem to make just enough room for everything right into place. Good job!

    Hm... there seems to be a lot of mixed advice out there about how to best hit the rear deltoid muscle. Personally, I use very light weight to do the first exercise he demonstrates, 4-6kg dumb bells and concentrate on getting the 'squeeze' at the top, and just max out my reps. I find doing anything heavier compromises my form and technique and doesn't engage/recruit the muscle effectively enough. For a large part of the movement itself, the muscle isn't engaged anyway, as gravity just takes over, making that the 'squeeze' at the top ever more necessary?

    • @andrewchadwick9119
      @andrewchadwick9119 8 лет назад

      Yeah paying attention to gravity will certainly help. That's why he goes on to cables and also rear delt fly. I'm just wondering does it pose a question that it should be done on an angle all the time if you get better recruitment from being bent forward on the rear delt fly.

    • @Ant-Alpha
      @Ant-Alpha 7 лет назад

      You can also lie on an incline bench and do that exercise. To keep tension off of my lower back that's how I do rear delt raises

    • @momed9040
      @momed9040 7 лет назад

      jboatown in this one people should start with light weight to master the form to comprehend the movement

      Ben Sands I think it relieves elbow stress.

    • @monkeyxpwner
      @monkeyxpwner 6 лет назад +1

      Less elbow wear yes but it also keeps more tension on the rear delt because in order to hold your arm in that bent position your rear delts must be contracted
