Break effect meta feels like the dendro meta from Genshin for HSR. Don't need a huge investment on the relics(doesn't priorities crits) and easy to build and is absolutely powerful while the only downside is that these teams/characters are limited.
The biggest problem we can see in the future for Break is the creation of enemies that can’t get weakness broken. In the case of Genshin, Spiral Abyss can just have enemies that are resistant/immune to dendro so there’s still that to consider.

@@Lagiacrus9520 They are never going to introduce enemies that lock their weaknesses indefinitely because breaking weaknesses are not exclusive to break teams and is a core part of the game.

Weakness Breaking is a core mechanic in the game, so I highly doubt they would add enemies that would do that for the entire battle.

My only issue right now is how fast they keep releasing new characters since 1.0. And they just keep getting better patch after patch. It makes older characters looks bad. Now we have superbreak. The most broken team in the game. I wouldn’t be surprise if they will make something better and more broken Soon at this point.
And now firefly that relies heavily on specific teammates and needs ruan mei to reach standard banner that i lost 50/50 on and cant get to pity
Power creep is common in gacha games . But I have to say hsr is speedrunning the hell out of that.

I agree. And the worst of it is running out of credits and character exp materials, they slow you down as hell.
It's simple, follow the golden rule in gacha games, do not pull for whom you HATE, and never try to build more than a team or 2 characters at the same time, it will result in the examples of this comment section
Getting Firefly feels good because how the story build up first to introduce her. Like Kafka that we want at the first sight, we know them before hand, then we pull them and feels "jades well spend."
Now, the only character I want to pull is THE MIGHTY BIG BROTHER SUNDAY🎉

Tbh I AW could work with pvp for sure. It might require Hoyo to adjust some of the stronger characters but at least it means they won't have to nerf any of the regular units in the roster.
But I don't know if they want to invest that much time though.
Getting early e1 firefly was a blessing in disguise
The endgame is so catered towards firefly it feels kinda ridiculous
It honestly worries me how fast the powercreep is in hsr. For the endgame catering tho, that's normal since it always favors the newly released characters characters
@@kobeyashi6981 To me it doesn't feel that bad, my 1.0 Seele is still doing great due to having better supports and i can say the same for most characters. I can't say its bad when everyone is getting stronger.
@@velgadisblue9923While that’s true for now, if they keep inflating enemy HP then eventually older units will struggle, Seele can only do so much damage until her damage isn’t good enough anymore.
I’m honestly more annoyed at the people trying to deny powercreep is an issue, and while they are mostly right at the moment, they’re blind to the long term effects that it could have later down the line.
While someone could easily just say “Get the newer units if you’re struggling”, it’s unfair for the people who like the older units.
I’ve also seen people saying that there’s people soloing with “Insert 1.0/weak character here”, and while I can’t deny that, most of those showcases have extremely good relics that the average player would lack, not to mention some non-solo showcases are triple harmony (i.e. the most busted path in the game) so of course these weaker units are doing so good, because they have such busted allies. And because some of those allies are occasionally E6.
That happens with every patch with endgame mode catered to the new member. I mean jade is best for the new pure fiction out today. Last patch was those units getting priority.
Thats like for every new character they release all end game cater to the current limited servant. Few examples are; Dan Heng IL with Propagation path, Argenti with Erudition path, MOC rotations that benefit Dr. Ratio and Black Swan when they released and much more. Catering for end game and current mechanics is their best way to sell characters.
I havent pulled Acheron or Firefly and I feel like I’m being punished for it, even with the best support and sustain units
I feel the same, my older units are Jing Yuan, DHIL, and Blade and they are all f2p, its crazy how once I pulled Acheron and Boothill and Firefly they seem so so weak. I don't even have to use skills anymore, but with older units, I have to fight with, rng, so to win a fight I have to restart it 30+ times bc older sustains cannot even prevent ccs and one shots of newer enemies
It's just sad how fast these older units got powercrept, mine are all f2p and I don't have insane relics. I still love them as characters but there are no reason to use them now
I feel you Powercreep has killed the game for me why bother with characters if in a few updates it will become another useless character that accumulates dust in my account
Firefly has her strengths and weaknesses and I find myself using others more than her. Acheron however, yeah they kinda broke the game with Acheron. She can basically beat all content quite easily after she's built, except that one dot PF. The only way to nerf her is to nerf ults or debuffs which is not happening as debuffs are an entire path and ults are every character. Even without a proper build she does as much as some built 5 stars.
I started playing recently and got firefly as my first featured character no pity.
Having a time management problem to E6 Stelle 😭 too many short quests to do to be able to lvl the clockie statue to 50 😭
To think I'm still not interested in any of the new stuff released... Maybe it's time to take a break

I think unlike would give you more milage for your account, being able to slap box most enemies without an issue. Argentina I feel should definitely be on your radar for Pure fiction I'd you play that though
Tbh argenti seem like a better overall unit cause he is insane in pure fiction and sm while also being very good in memory of chaos that has physical weakness
It depends on whether you can get their sig LC or not. Argenti you don’t need sig, but he can’t play AS. While Yunli can be played in all 3 endgame, her power with and without sig LC is like night and day.
Argenti is like the worst limited 5 star. yeah hes good on pure fiction and on pure fiction only, but even herta is better than him. I suggest you get yunli. shes great on moc, purefiction and Apo shadow. even better if you get clara, they can destroy purefiction or even moc if the yare together in a team

I have her E1 on my pay account. But had to sacrifice her to get Ruan Mei on my F2P. Xueyi will have to be my break DPS until a rerun.

2.3 was the best patch for me personally i got really lucky and was able to get e2 firefly and ruan mei without losing 50/50 and with only 175pulls! Currently on hsr break because im done with events and map exploration! Atm i still do dailies and the weekly divergent universe. Currently letting my resin save up for future characters since i already have 4 wellbuilt teams!

Does E2 Acheron still relevant to the newest end-game mode? I'm saving for her E2, but hoyo keep throwing new mechanics every patch. (F2P here)
it's not about relevance, it's about comfy. Even E0 can still clear it, but obviously slower in stack building and might be lower in damage (depends on team comb). If you're planning to use 1 nihility + 1 (or even 2) harmony alongside Acheron, then go for it. If not, I suggest don't.

Since his skill can give ff speed but sacrifice health but since ff ult can hit multiple enemy (3 enemy) and receive heal by his kit, ff need speed yk but idk im still newbie
their kit doesn't pair well. Better go all out on super break team for max super break output and put Jade with Herta in PF
Tbh the kit would do good on normal world and things like that but on the endgame content it would struggle ALOT
HSR has been out for a bit more than a year, and powercreep is happening way too fast for my taste
Oh boy. It's even worse for other games. I play Fire emblem heroes and power creep occurs up to twice every month.
Meanwhile in WuWa, 2nd patch and Jinshi already powercrept every dps. One year isnt that fast in gacha games terms

Problem with break damage is if Hoyo decides they don't want you to use her in any content , they can just add a mechanic (which is already on some bosses) to stop the boss getting broken. Though I don't think they would do it just to hinder her and push a new meta. It's annoying how easily it could be done
Yeah, if Hoyo doesn't want break on an moc just stick Gepard in. You aren't getting through his shield if he gets it up.

I think its more on the performance issue android users have compared to iPhone users judging from the ratings from both stores
A lot of players (including chinese players) didn't like the game because "it's slow, the story is mid, the combat is repetitive, and the characters designs are boring"

I've found myself so tired of hsr after the Penacony SQ, decided to take a break. After Boothill there were no interesting for me characters anyway
Is dot team really good? Because without external buffs like the SU its rly not usable anywhere... I use kafka, sampo, black swan and a healer.
Try using Ruan mei,Kafka,Blackswan and any sustain unit

Everyone that complains about her recently it's because she is super broken, funny how they didn't complain when Acheron was launched.
And funny that they think that they nerfed Jade to make firefly ore attractive, they really don't accompany the leaks to know that erudition/FUA teams are good but not the meta of the game when in some endgame contents(except pf obviously)

I also saw gensh1t players having meltdown over natlan characters on Twit yesterday. They all had free pe, tin in their bio. That answers a few questions.
Don't care for the candy crush mode, the little birdies are cute as hell of course but the actual gameplay was really boring for me unfortunately. Firefly is really fun with her best team, which I am lucky enough to have, even if I did miss Ruan Mei the first time around lol damn my bad 50/50 luck!

Does Firefly need crit stats? Mine only has 5.0% crit rate and 150% crit dmg. 😭
Break effect and Super Break don't benefit from crit, so she doesn't need crit at all. Get all the speed, break effect and attack% you can.

@@dragonflym.c.830get speed at 134 minimum and you can go all out on break effect and if you don't get lucky to get it, take atk% since she transforms some atk into break effect.

Its lore innacurate, I prefer Jade and all the others get greatly boosted stat by the contract while the character she in contract with is losing hp/atk or something. We see firefly lose hp, so why not..

I gave up. As a F2P, I am lucky if I get a character every 3 or 4 banners. I literally just cant keep up. And it is stressful. So I let it go. I feel so much better. But ill check out how the game is doing here and there. But it just isnt for me.

im f2p and i already have like 12 5 stars an im lvl 70, all end game content done. i even got e2s1 firefly and e1 ruan mei as f2p. I suggest is that you really think about who character to pull because as a f2p ofc our jades are limited, try out teams that you like the best and save and invest on that team, dont just pull whoever you want. I managed to save 45k jades after i got aventurine on 2.1 and i got e2s1 firefly and e1 ruan mei with it, and with them both they carried me on all endgame content.
f2p players literally get 1 limited character every other patch guaranteed. If you're trying to pull on everyone, that's a you problem and not really a "f2p" problem. Yapping over nothing. If you are just bored, just say you're bored instead of trying to invent a problem that isn't there
Why get stressed about it mate? Most of the existing characters get their reruns pretty fast. You can always save and get them.
I quit this game too after a year. The massive powercreep as an F2P is just way too much to handle. I was tired of losing nearly every 50/50, and hearing how broken every FUCKING new character is. And for what, it’s literally all for combat. There is nothing else you can do with them.
Not to mention I felt absolutely nothing in the story. I can only tolerate one YAP game, and at least Genshin I always enjoy exploration and the combat.

It literally took me over a month to scrounge around and get this character but finally did it yesterday and she's awesome
That said, that is the end of my pulling career for gacha games. Incredibly frustrating, saving for weeks, subject to a 50/50 consumer hostile foolishness, I'm never doing this again
If I have the pulls I'll use them, otherwise I'm going to have to take the squad that I have to the ends of the Earth
They got me for a few weeks now put the game on the shelf 😊
This is probably for the best considering what you described is just the nature of these games. Get out while you can, there’s no reason to get into gacha games especially if you already feel fatigue from just saving and grinding.
@@coldbacon4869 yeah I pretty much stopped playing Genshin because the only thing I did the most in the game was try to get new characters... It is so addictive. I wasn't spending money on pulls so I had to do a lot of daily 'work'.
I realized I was doing way more of that than actually playing the game and it killed it for me.
As for Star rail I'll pick it back up in a few months or so and just enjoy the solid squad I have right now and that's it. Any other characters will just have to come by happenstance or any poles that I win as I move along. But I'm done with this song and dance.

In my times of playing hsr, I always get so cautious and I have to sacrifice my wants for meta units, if not I will get punished.
But the worse of them all is Aventurine boss on MOC. Like we really have to deal with rng, and gambling on top of that, and his ccs and one shots are so strong I cannot even sustain with older sustain units. Unless I have certain speed and relics which I cannot get for months because of the terrible relic system.
This boss is the most bullshit one I have ever encountered, the others aren't even close to him. At least the others still have loopholes and many ways to deal with.
Best strategy to win the HSR PvP mode? Give it to your wife or mom and they will destroy each other in there.
Even without Jade, I still managed to get a perfect score in PF. So she's an easy skip.

I feel like ppl are overrating firefly a tad bit, even as an e2s1 owner (just to clarify, overrate =/= "bad", before yall point ur pitchforks at me 😂).
Just like jingliu, once her honeymoon phase is over and newer characters with more gimmicky mechanics gets introduced, she might feel underwhelming on those times. Honkai does power creep characters but not the same thing as everyone think where one character becomes completely obsolete, but more of they favor whoever is new and make MOC/PF/AS marchups favor the featured character.
Doesn't change the fact that they still do powercreep older characters at least like 1-2 years later after they release. Just look at herssecher trio in hi3, they've done them so dirty after phase2 story was released, thats why i stopped buying monthly passes or pulling latest characters, just gonna hoard and spend them all in one go during annivs or cn new year.
I really liked when Firefly got shoved down to our throat for the penacony arc

@@muhammadbusthamifadillah2848i think thats a different thing, in penacony they really shove down the “shes our gf” we have a crush on her thing. the same cant be said for jingyuan(he barely has any screentime anyways??) and bronya is the same there. I dont see in belabog or luofu that the mc has such a huge change in personality that it felt forced for the realtionship between them

Getting Firefly feels really bad, yes the story around her is good, but feeling forced to pull for her just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Himeko is a good replacement in break teams, it's not as good but it gets the job done. The only important piece is Ruan Mei.
ff ruins the game narratively and gameplay wise but nobody complains because nobody will complain when its their favourite character.

HSR is better game than it has right to be. It's absolutely blast to play and you can see devs have fun making it
IMO the new planar extraction is pure cringe. Why let me sit through the auto fight and not just give me the rewards. When I have 10 immersifiers it's not fun to have to auto 10 times to redeem it.
I dont like Firefly, I feel her character really boring, HYV forces her to be the perfect girlfriend of our Trailblazer, gave her tons of communication and a ridiculous amount of damage. Then they butchered Jade making her only good in PF without eidolons and giving her unattractive character and weapon banners. They have to balance their game better.
0:25 REALY CUTE?!?!?!? NO! It was horrible! it was a genshin tier event, was just screaming profanity at the screen between "WHY DO I HAVE TO DO THIS KRAP FOR PULLS, OMG, YOU POS SOBS" the whole time... Like, that was really as painful as any the Genshin events they use to chase off players.

I liked it, its a proven minigame.
Genshin kinda botched tier DBD clone in windtrace though, the abilities needed to be updated and maybe some alternate objectives, but I understand they wanted a round to be around 2-3minutess tops.
