Ben - When you seal the windows in there is a trick that you don't appear to know...Put the sealant on either the window or preferably on the boat....THEN let it dry a bit, go and have a cup of tea. When you go back to the sealer job, touch it, it should be well on the way to drying, and well skinned over. When you press the window in, screw it loosely and leave for at least a couple of hours, then tighten it fully. It sounds as though you are simply splatting the sealer out. Think of it as a gasket then it will hold the water out. Good luck with that. John

For sealing those windows, sikaflex a bead around the frame, and leave to set for 20-30 mins before bolting frame in, or alternatively use Butyl tape, if you intend to remove and reseal many times. Boat is looking good, but you two look a little poorly, hope you are better soon.

I stumbled somehow on to your site ( thought give you guys a go ) I follow three other Canal Nomadic boaters ... I really enjoyed your vids ( not realising that youre family from Yorkshire - a lot of my family are from Warley , Halifax - so showing Sowerby Bridge , Todmorden was un real !) I am born Devonian and I live in Somerset or Zomerset .. youre music couldnt believe has vibes of Pink Floyd ,Fleetwood Mac and David Bowie . One thing that runs through with all the Canal Boaters is how ingenuity , practical ( I guess you have to be ) doing pretty much everything you can yourself and self sufficient to a degree . In this mad world we live in , where ever you seem to turn everyone seems to be screaming , bad news of house or stock market crashing ... its therapeitic to watch your vids and music and for a few mins drift with you away from all that crap . Covid really kicked my business in the b.....ocks and I never got it back . So having to do agency work and other stuff to keep the wolf from the door . Sorry to Ben and Emily , Im not in a position to buy you a coffee just yet .. but I do look forward to your vids and your music is great . Have you thought of contacting Michael Eavis who runs and owns Glastonbury Festival , I really think you should . Anyways really glad I discovered your site on RUclips . Best Wishes from Will - Somerset .

Nice one, you guys are so cute together, (loved the soup sequence). 😀 Great work on Rambler, just a little tip when drilling steel Benny, consider using a pilot drill, (3-4mm), prior to to the full size drill. This not only uses less energy in the drill battery, but also aids in maintaining positional accuracy of the holes, then use a countersink to remove the burrs on the hole, top and bottom. But, you're doing a great job and she's looking good, the ceiling looks fabulous so far. See you next week. 😄😄😄

Every vegetarian or vegan I watch on RUclips are always ill. Coincidence? Maybe. Or just really bad immune systems. Although I do have respect for vegans who do it for ethical reasons. (altho ethics strangely seem to go straight out the window when there is some money to be made when a promo comes along for a youtuber) I certainly don't believe it benefits ones health tho. Most kids brought up this way can't even look at something without having an allergy to it today. Pros/cons/contridictions/hypocrites. It's a minefield when you go down this overcomplicated lifestyle path. That's for sure. Nice work on the boat.

I don’t know if you folks have Amazon over there but you can get a fishing magnet. You can find them in many sizes that can lift a few pounds to hundreds of pounds. Not only can you retrieve your dropped chains but you can throw around where ever you Moore up and fish the bottom for stolen bikes stolen stuff from house robberies, ect, ect, I live in the USA I go magnet fishing off of bridges and find guns. Been doing this for about 8 years now fished out 47 discarded guns calling the police to turn them in. A few of them looking almost brand new. Still don’t know if they led to criminals or not. But yeah magnet fishing is fun and an awesome thing to do if your having a boring day.

Loved the music and the drone filming of the floods. It sounded quite like John Barry’s cinematic music. It may be too late, but if you haven’t yet sealed your windows, the best stuff to get is the mastic tape that Vic used when they were painting Holly the Cafe Boat. He called it “the mother of all Blu Tac”. They sealed all their windows and brass portholes with it. You should ask them what it was.

High you three, you did well finding that chain Ben😅 that soup looks fantastic and spicy. I have to say guys that English weather is horrible no wonder you want another van does that mean finding
Warm weather in another country? Drilling holes in boat roofs is not a great idea really, just fitted a solar panel on my Ute roof and I used roof rack bars then the panel to the bar. I really hope your boat roof doesn’t leak guys what with the leaking windows as well. No wonder you feel ill not good
Just not good for your health🥴🥴. Why don’t you ask your huge family out there for tips on the best way to do things ?? A little help goes a long way😂😂 I mean you don’t want a submarine do you Emily. Thanks again for another video they do make my day.🫶🫶😘Jon🇦🇺xx

20:16 I wonder if in a few hundred years, and they discover that footbridge over the water, will they say that it was a ceremonial walkway?
Obviously there’s documentation about the footbridge , but if for some reason or other there wasn’t due to redundancy of technology for some reason or other like a CME event or solar flare.
Sending us back to pre electric infrastructure days. 🤔
Ha ha Ha I’m getting right into this “wondering” of mine.
Thanks for sharing this video and for the beautiful drone footage.
I wonder if people will ever get tired of drone footage?
I don’t think so, it’s such a beautiful perspective on which to view our world 🌎 ❤

When I lived in Malta my neighbours for a while were Sikhs who made the most amazing high power chilli soup or broth. They always served it with yogurt and invited me over to join in the heat. Delicious.

Sorry you guys were unwell. That's something I thank Covid for, since the pandemic I'm so conscious of keeping my hands clean and away from my face and avoiding crowds that I haven't had a bad flu or cold for years now. On the whole, though I'd take the flu and colds happily if the pandemic hadn't happened.
Welcome to the joys of trying to waterproof all the holes you've got in your boat. I truly wish you better luck than I've had recently.
Take care , Ben and Emily (and have some coffee) and give Alan a chin scritch for me.
P.S. I'm jealous of your mattress, if it's as comfy as it looked.

Good on you! Washing hands and avoiding crowds are a big help, I’d recommend masking in indoor igloo spaces too - Covid, flu, and cold are all airborne and are best prevented by wearing an n95 mask! I wish we knew about them years ago, I could have avoided getting sick every winter

There sure is a lot of water... Don't get caught up on a field or somewhere when it goes down.
