this week we take you to the North coat of Wales to the beautiful Conwy Castle! It gets REALLY COLD on the Llangollen Canal, reaching -7°C freezing the apparently un-freezable canal SOLID!

If you haven't already got one, I'd recommend getting a moisture meter for the foraged wood. Means you only burn the dry stuff and get more heat out of it. Trying to burn damp wood just means your steaming off all that moisture and its way less efficient and way more polluting. Its difficult on a boat leaving wood for a couple of years to season properly! The meters are cheap and their fun to use!

Way to go, Emily! Highest point of Conway castle! Went up the Eiffel tower with my wife. I didn't know she is terrified of heights. I was running all over the place, one floor from the top, and there she was clutching for dear life on to a interior joist . Tears running down her face, so I escorted her down gave her a cup of tea to settle her nerves Back up I ran stayed about 1.5 hours, taking pictures, talking to other tourist, etc, etc, Loved it!

Oh my goodness you packed so much into this one. Absolutely loving seeing you still enjoying our neck of the woods. North Wales is a beautiful place and we feel grateful every day. We live right on the North Wales Shropshire borders so we get to enjoy the beauty of both 💚

What a lovely episode ❤ had me smiling the whole way through. The last time I was in Wales was December 1970 on my Honeymoon and we loved exploring in our tiny Self-Drive hired Austin Mini Van despite the similarly freezing weather.
We'd earlier flown in, all the way from a hot summer in Perth Western Australia 🇦🇺 so the contrast in temperatures🌡 was pretty challenging. Just like yourselves, a jolly good laugh was the best way to experience it all.

So funny "Allen" related story. We had a "Tarzan" , the baby my son picked didn't make it. Tarzan climbed the curtains before her eyes were open. The cartoon had just been released, and she just had to be a boy. 😂❤😂😂

Arrrgh! You got to meet the pirate. A lovely person. Loved your last two post. Especially this last one. -17C early last morning warmed up to about -12C. This evening. A lovely glow in the north around to west just above the trees 11PM Northern lights. A great show of courage to keep going to high places to see the lovely view. Wish I could have been around the fires playing tunes

You really made me cringe when you went off the slipway at Conway, because when I was about 10 years years old I jumped off the same slipway and sank up to my waste in the mud, if it wasn't for the rapid response of a local chap in waders that managed to drag me out I am sure that I wouldn't be here today. And I never got the oppertunity to thank him. I am now 72 years old and still remember so clearly. Keep up the good streams, myself and my wife watch them every week without fail. Thank you both for so much entertainment, it is so much more entertaining than most other things that is so called entertaining. ( It is real life) thank you so much. Im right with you Emily- I spent the better part of a trip in Ireland clinging to a seat with my hood over my head and eyes closed going up a mountainside in County Wicklow. I was petrified . On a different note, so nice to see you and Ben met Heidi and all those other marvelous boaters

Another fun and enjoyable episode, loved the joining of the Santa trucks and the bravery of Emily at the top of the castle. Nice seeing Heidi, it was like a narrow boat vlog crossover. Lynn here on Hubby's phone mines playing up 😏, Wooo my just trying to talk hubby into going to Conwy it looks so lovely , the shots of the robin were fantastic, we once went in a park while visiting London and a random man came up with some seed to feed the birds , he put it on my hand and the little birds fed of it , it was the most fantastic feeling 😃, Take Care xx see y next week 👍

Similar thing happened to us in Florence, Italy when we got caught on the road amongst a troop of roller skating Santas! A most memorable Christmas moment for us and probably for you two. Thank you for your channel, clearly you two are a couple of super nice people.
