My dog just got 3 vaccines at once today (rabies, parvo, flu) and went into anaphylaxis. I went 100 mph on a 45 mph road and ran red lights just to get her help. She’s recovering now but still super swollen and itchy hours later. All I can do for her is keep giving her Benadryl and let the steroids the vet gave her do their thing. Also, I know driving the way I did is never ok, but when your dog can’t breathe in the back seat it’s a different feeling. And if it makes any difference I was as safe as I could be driving that way for other people’s sake.
This happened to me last night it was so scary!

Reading the comments, it seems like a lot of people's puppies have bad reactions. Mine got 3-4 today. He's in severe pain in his arm and is lethargic. Starting to loose trust in vaccines altogether.

my dog just got his nobivac RL vaccine on may 17th 2022. he had gotten the same one last year with absolutely no side effects. this year we had a lot; sleepiness, general malaise, some anorexia. the weirdest one though is that he yelps sometimes when he walks. particularly the moment he gets up after he's been lying down, and sometimes when he gets excited and tries to jump up to greet someone. this has ONLY been happening following the vaccine. his legs are not sore, i've been checking him, squeezing pulling, everything. checked his pawpads for cuts and scrapes, checked his teeth for cracked teeth, checked everything, and nothing is wrong. so, could this be from the vaccine? i know that rabies vaccines in particular do cause musculoskeletal symptoms sometimes. should i be worried? injection site was in between the shoulderblades. all other symptoms have improved drastically as of today, may 19th. the only one that remains is the yelping while standing/walking. it is very infrequent, though.
Yes could definitely be the vaccine. Probably sore where they have the vaccine
I gave my dog her rabies shots which she was too but I was behind month she seem fine. She ate fine and then she got a reaction. Her face skin under her for her because she’s white sciatica road so we order the Benadryl it worked and she ate fine for few hours went by she slept and now we just had two episodes that she vomits. What should I do because I’m really low on cash.
What about itching, rashes, blisters resembling atopic dermatitis?
I gave my puppy his vaccines and he has been acting like his normal self for the most part. But he does have a huge knot where I gave the shot and its going on the third day and its still there should I be worried? Before I gave him the shots he was experiencing itching and coughing, which I assume is him being allergic to something? I gave him a 10 in 1 vaccine, and a vaccine for kennel cough to protect him from any harmful diseases. I am gonna get his rabies shots and any other important vaccines done at a vet office. Should I be worried about my pup coughing and itching if hes still acting like his normal self?
I took my 3 year old pup to get her annual shots today. They gave her 3 shots, 1 in each of her hips and one by shoulder. She seems very sore is acting very sluggish. Her breathing is noisy while sleeping but that’s not abnormal considering she is a french bulldog/Boston mix. Should i be concerned. She is not herself.

My dog refuses(or can’t) to put weight on his rear right leg after the Lyme vaccine. This started 10 minutes after the vaccine was given. He’s 11 1/2 and has arthritis, but the vaccine was given near his right hip. The vet refused to acknowledge that this may be from the vaccine and insists it’s a new injury.
It’s been 2 days with very little improvement.

Her age is 6 years and weight 5kg , mixed breed Pomeranian.... please help me....the date of vaccination was 16th Feb and she is getting worst...I've visited so many doctors but their is no improvement they have suggested me blood test which is LFT , CBC , Haemoprotozoa slide, Haemoprotozoa kit .....and she is drinking a lot water
my 2 french bulldog puppies got their dap 2 vaccines and other stuff like lepto,lyme and for the cough. the younger one got some reactions, puffiness on the eyes, hives nausea and vomiting. we were worried, we gave him allergy pills. and brought him in the clinic. good thing the swelling and hives subside a little bit. we dont want him to stay in the clinic overnight instead we monitored him all night. He feels better after and starting to eat and slept well.
Wow, just looking through all the comments here of horrible reactions why do vets still do this? I've had scary experience with a cat and seizures that alerted me to all the dangers. If you know the ingredients & real history of these you would never give any at all to human or animal.
I responded to a question similar to this before pretty lengthy. I'll give you the summary. I'm not a fan of vaccines but they are effective. As of right now it's the best thing we have unless somebody's willing to go ahead and subject their own pets to being exposed to parvo and or distemper virus without being vaccinated and seeing what the results are
@@DrLera My wife's cat got every symptom the shots were supposed to prevent. The lifespan of dogs & cats are HALF what they used to be from a time they received none of these shots. How does that prove prevention? She has 2 cats never received vaccinations, 11 and 13 years old, in perfect health from a can-free diet & no chemicals. Also, please study the "Germ vs. Terrain Theory" and you will see where disease comes from.
@Larry Llama if you've ever had a dog that got parvo you would know why most dogs don't live through it thank God my dog survived but it cost me $3800.00
My 10lb chihuahua had all his boosters today and a heart worm 1yr shot and doesn't want to walk around and is shivering and clearly in pain, I have metacam for his luxating patella is it ok to give him this for pain after the vaccines?
@Leah613 yes he is fine, I gave him metacam and he was a lot better within a couple hours it helps with pain and swelling
I've a question I own 1 Year old Female GSD. Every time she won't let doctor to inject. Always she tries to run away or became adamant and aggressive. What can I do?

My baby was due for her shots and I took her today. I split them the same way as last year (she had no issues then) and today was her first round of shots (parvo and bordatella)…she’s now spending the night at the emergency vet bc she started throwing up a few hours after she got her shots. The vet told me she is severely dehydrated 🥺
Mine is permanently damaged from the kennel cough vaccine. It filled both lungs with pneumonia. Vet said she can’t believe she is still alive as she couldn’t hear her heart through her lungs. She is autistic now

@@DianneElizabeth64 I am so sorry. This is what is happening to our human children now as well. SO MANY vax in such a short time. My heart is sick for our pets and our children. Blessings to you and your sweet pooch.

Hi doc, first of all thank you so much for all of your advice. My puppy ( 2 months and a half) got his 7 in 1 vaccine 2 days ago and he just vomited today. The vomit looked solid and seemed to have only food, his poops is normal and his temperature is normal. He still seems fine, in fact he was trying to eat his vomit ( we obviously stopped him ). We didn’t feed him any weird food, just only puppy food so I don’t know if its a reaction towards the vaccine or he just ate too fast ?
If he doesn't vomit regularly and the only thing new is the vaccine then one would think it would be the vaccine

Hello doc, I appreciate this video so much.. 3 days ago my 7months old pomeranian got his first ever rabies vaccine. He was fine at the beginning but the next day he became weak and lost appetite, he also vomits everytime. Now there are red bruises under his ear and his feets are swollen.. I'm really worried now and vet clinic is hard to acquire here in us and pretty expensive, I'm scared this vaccine will be the reason of him dying which instead I expected to be the best for him
Thank you doctor for this video ❤ My dog is 3 yo now, and its not her first time to take multiple shots at one day, but yesterday she got an anaphylactic reaction and it was the rabies vaccine "because its a new brand and its her first time to take this brand" , it was scary indead, it happened to her before when she swallowed a bee!
2nd round of vaccines for us. 3.8 pound yorkie male. First round had him down for 3-4 days. Looks like same pattern this time. Only one injection and 2 oral meds. It’s pretty pitiful.
There is a. Company that makes vaccine that is 0.5mls instead of the 1ml dose. this may help with the reaction. Also find out if the distemper/parvo vaccine has leptospirosis included in it. If it does that is soemthing else that could contribute to the reaction
@@DrLera , gave him 7.5mg of oral Tylenol with 2mg of Benadryl. Was back to normal in 4 hours after dose. Last time he was down 4 days. So concerning we went back to Vet twice and he asked us too. Now we know it is some type of vaccine sensitivity. He’s been good all day to day other than normal guarding hip the injection was in.

@Leah613 , I went and bought Benadryl and gave a dose based on mg/kg he took a nap and woke up perfect. Also gave him a tiny dose of Tylenol mg/kg dosed that helped with fever. He was a new puppy in a few hours after a nap from Benadryl
I'm so worried with my Dog.. Please help me. After her vaccination, a day after. She don't want to eat nor drink. All she wanted to do is sleep. Early this morning, I found out her vomit😭. Until now she refused to eat and drink. Please help/tell me what to do. Thanks
My 11 year old hound had a bad reaction to vaxes 2 years ago. He was out of it for a week, at least. He's now 13 and I'm needing to kennel him for a couple of days and the vet/kennel won't bend on vaxes. Trying to figure out what I'm going to do.
Sometimes you might be able to find a technician that is willing to come to your house and walk your dog. I can't think of the name but there is a website that is a platform for dog walkers.

I gave my puppy his 7 week vaccination shot I bought from my local co-op. It is day 2 and has had a knot or lump under the skin of the vaccination area. The needle was new and I took precautions to keep it clean during the process as well as cleaning the vial during extraction and mixing process. It doesn't hurt him none as he does not seem to mind the touching and checking on it I have done. I tried cold pack and heat and he doesn't like it. It has gone down some but is still visible and I don't like it. What can I do or is this something that will go away and time is the key. Please help. I have never had this issue as I give my pets their vaccines and made sure the needle was in far enough and in the right area. I just don't like being able to see this lump or knot.

Sounds like an "injection site carcinoma" -- commonly caused by vaccines in animals. Just pray your animal survives it and for crying out loud, stop injecting them with poison.
Hey! Did the bump go away??? Similar thing happened to my min pin a few years ago…little bump where the vaccine shot was…he ended up having a very bad reaction to it and we had to put him down….still so hard to think about. 😮💨

How did it go with yr dog? Is it ok now? I got my puppies vaccinated last week. And just abt an hour ago I noticed a knot abt 2,5cm in diameter on the back of one of them, just below the area where the shot was given. I hope it won't cause anything bad on him. He doesn't seem to be in pain, but he was kinda disturbed when I tried to touch to check on it when I first saw it. It's freaking me out but it's almost mid night in my country so I can't call the vet yet.

My puppy got the parvo vaccine and 8 days later she seems weak and sleepy, poop is liquid (pooped liquid more than one time) but would still eat. Idk if this is an allergic reaction or she actually has another kind of sickness

Just an update, I know this was like 6 months ago but 2 days after I posted this comment she became better and her condition was just a result of indigestion. She's a big girl now, happy and healthy :)
Hey man my puppy got her distemper/lepto (c) today and she developed a decent sized knot and won’t let me touch her and is not her normal playing self but that’s all so far it got me worried

How's your dog doing now?
Mine can't walk on his hind legs .He had all 3 on Monday Tuesday night fine walked in to room put him on my bed slept all night he did not jump down I lifted him off bed. When I put him on ground he could not weight bear on his hip at all. Vet has prescribed Meloxicam. If not better tomorrow x-ray?
My 3 year old Akita is now experiencing this … she literally crawled into my other dogs crate and now she won’t come out . She acts like she can’t move and it breaks my heart to see such a energetic dog be so quiet now 😢
Did your dogs get better?? My 4 yr old chiweenie had her shots a week ago Thursday and she did the shaking and not able to walk very well. She seems a little better but doesn’t play or eat very much and just lays around.

I love how this vet recommends only one vaccine at a time for dogs but many doctors recommend multiple at a time for tiny babies...

Yeah. But 3 shots is a lot. Especially for a small dog. I would try to separate out the vaccines next time for sure.ome every 2 weeks

Should be temporary pain from the inflammation of the vaccine.could look at giving Benadryl or nsaid from veterinarian before next vaccines

My dog got a rabies vaccine in his right rear leg and he was paralyzed in that leg for 2 months and hes still not right. He favors his other leg and for the record I was not given any possible side effect warnings. I may sue the vet.
Sorry to hear that. That is very unfortunate, the only thing that have happened while giving s normal vaccine would be to hit the main nerve that runs through the leg. And that is very difficult to do because we don't know exactly where it sits. There could potentially be something u related to the vaccine that could be going on. You might want to get a second opinion.toodblu k and hope you dog gets better.
My dog received multiple shots yesterday including the rabies vaccine and is not using his right rear leg today. I was also not given any possible side effect information from the vet. Hopefully it’s temporary and he’s back to normal soon. I’ll think twice next time before getting him vaccinated, especially in multiples.

Call your vet and let them know. Most likely sore from the vaccine they may give some Benadryl or an anti-inflammatory

Eight in one sounds like a lot. We try to do a minimal number of vaccines at a time. That also includes multivalent vaccines like the one that you got. That has a lot of things in it which sometimes can be overwhelming for the body. It depends on the patients so it's a case-by-case basis

Nope. He could be having a more severe reaction. If your dog has been vomiting at least once s day for 4 days it's time to go to the vet

Call your vet or local emergency clinic and they will give you some anti nausea meds with some Benadryl. You will definitely need to go in person with your pup

Hi, Doc. My 8 month old puppy got 5 in 1 vaccine last Thursday December 2, 2021. Then yesterday I noticed that all she wanted to do is sleep, doesn't want to eat since yesterday morning and I found out a color yellow vomit early this morning. My puppy got vaccine in age of 11 months- 5 in 1. He was sore for 10 days, then he got a diarrhoea, then pain in his back. Then he got another shot and after 1.5 month got neurological symptoms- he is diagnosed with a GME so probably will not survive. VACCINE? NEVER FUCK---ING EVER !!

This is happening with my puppy he had his last booster yesterday and upon bringing him home has been non stop vomiting. The vet said they doubt allergic reaction because no hives but I’m certain it’s from the vaccine. He now has vomited or regurgitated so much he has aspirated again . We are now the next day and he is just sleeping no food or water since yesterday they gave him antibiotic and cortisone to cover all bases but I’m so worried
@Leah613 he is better now but it was scary took about 3 days for him to turn around I started him on chicken and rice very slowly like spoonfuls at a time to help him keep it down only small bits of water

This is a great video. I just bought a new puppy and I noticed there was a dime size lump on her right shoulder. It doesn’t seem to be painful, and she is almost 10 weeks old. I just noticed she had the intratrac 3 the day we took her home which was September 16. Is it possible that could be from the vaccine? She’s going to the vet on Wednesday 9/21.
Yes definitely possible to be form the vaccine
@@DrLera thank you so much! Yeah she was examined by the vet on that day and I’m sure the vet would’ve noticed a lump on the upper shoulder so it must’ve been from the vaccine that the vet gave her before they released her from the pet store that day.
My dog has been in good health for 4 years an she dont really like outside as she is a diva my dog went to the vet for a booster an a week later she has had a full blown fit and losses all control an foams from her mouth an it's happened 2 times more since I'm absolutely disgusted an upset with what happened can you please explain what's in these vaccine or booster jabs
Unfortunately our society has excepted that humans and pets need to be pin cushions. The pressure to vax comes from trying to be a "responsible pet owner ". My friend had to have her cat euthanized not too long ago. He had cancer in his mouth. She cried and asked why can't I get a pet to live longer than 7 years, heartbreak after heartbreak. Some people's dogs changed after getting the rabies vax becoming agitated and aggressive. In my opinion if your pet is a house pet then I would skip everything beyond the 1st baby shots. And by that I mean one single visit. Some people don't know that they use the same dosage for a great dane for a chihuahua 😳 for the rabies vax. We have pets no days dying of cancers, auto immune disorders and this wasn't a issue 50 yrs ago. So with that said how many pets have suffered and died due to vaccines 🤔
@@ameliabohannon7226 thank you. What advice would you give for someone receiving a puppy at 8 weeks that comes with their 1st shots. I know shots don't really take at the age..so should I just not go for the boosters at 12 weeks? This is worrying me.

I had my dog a 7 in one a weak ago today his face is very swolen (hes been sleepy for a weak) im am snowed in today he is 11 lbs. Hes an inside dog it worrysome

@@jacobbockover1628 my pomeranian got 8 in 1 vaccine and anti rabies. He is currently having a rapid respiration. I checked his heart rate its around 85 to 92bpm. His oxygen saturation after giving antihistamine improve from 89% to 99%. Should I still worry?

The vaccine for the cough won’t kill your dog but will give you a life time of taking your dog to vet for a cough they get continually after the vaccine. Bad for you good for the vet 💰💰💰
To me I wish we had never listen to our vet. My dog now has constant cough problems.

I've raised dogs most of my life.
I'm 72 yrs old and when I was a kid our dogs got the rabie shot and parvo , and distemper shot and that was it. Dogs lived 12 to 15
years back then. I still have to dogs and I will not pump any other vaccines in them. Especially pets that are inside dogs and they stay on my property. I don't go to parks or camp sites. We have fun right at home. Outside dogs might need additional vaccines but I'm not familiar with anyone with outside dogs. Don't listen to all of what a vet will tell you. Today I see dogs only lasting 10 years.
Know what your dog is getting and

and marketed . It's also a money game. It's the same when Your
doctor wants you to go for all these tests unless you feel you need them. All of these vaccines and tests
can be Overkill.

No I would definitely not sit and wait on it. I would at the very least look at doing a core biopsy on the growth if not remove the growth altogether and send it out for histopathology
My dog got vaccinated 3 days ago and he has stopped eating food completely. He's very lethargic all the time now and he also has a wound on his leg (that he got on his walk) he keeps licking that. The vet gave some anti biotic. Seeing him like this makes me worry that something bad is gonna happen.
If your dog has not eaten anything in 24hrs then it is time to go to the vet. Better to be safe then sorry. Depending on which antibiotic sometimes those reduce the appetite never further. Add in the vaccine and the wound, you have a number of variables that it is hard to say which one or ones are causing the symptoms.
Can a dog have fever after 2 days of getting a multiple vaccine shot? The fever comes one day and vanishes the next day and this happened 3 times? Is this normal?
This is also happening to my dog after getting two vaccines at one appointment. Fever has come and gone, and has now come back again. I suspect it's a reaction to the lepto vaccine.

Yes it's possible for the dog to have fevers develop as you're describing. Although the does not common. I would try to separate out the vaccines the next time. And I would look into trying to reduce the number of vaccines based on your dogs risk and exposure to different diseases

Hi Doc, My 2months old pomeranian got 6in1 vaccinated yesterday. He is fine at the moment but when he drink his milk, he will vomit it a few minutes later. It's not happening when eating his food. But earlier this night, after drinking her milk, he vomitted the food he ate 3hrs ago along with the milk. Is it normal?
Not to mention, his appetite is good. But I'm just worried because he is vommiting the milk that he's drinking.

Reach out to your vet. Sounds like an allergic. Reaction. Usually we will give benadryl and steroids

My dear friend was vaxx injured, developed seizures. They put him on phenobarb which is hard on the renal system, that doesn't work for me. Our maltese pup two weeks after vaccine stopped jumping, then running, then walking. Rear legs are still paifull and there is nerve damage in rear part of both legs. Vets are "clueless" even after 1000€ spent on tests. Then it hit me, she had her vaccine two weeks before. They hit a nerve and caused damage. We treat her at home with phisiotherapy and electro stimulation.
She can walk a little but can not get up on her own.
That was the last vaccine this dog has had.
Wont trust vets ever again. They just dont give a rats ass what are they doing to animals and when shit hits the fan they just milk your money and laugh at you for trying to save that life.

Dogs don't get infected with the virus. But if a COVID infected human releases a fluid (like sneeze) and it gets on the dog, the dog will carry the virus in its fur but won't get infected.
