@@Esoterik_NW that could very well be the case, however there are a lot of indications within the video that possibly say otherwise. First when made aware that I was looking for the specific card, he didn’t outright say he had it, almost like he thought about showing it to me, and even then, why didn’t he have it with all his more expensive slabs in that brown case? Why keep it separate? Also his body language shifts as I say I’m gonna scan it, not after I say it’s fake almost like he knew. Plenty of other indicators in the video as well that led me to believe that he knew he was selling a counterfeit card. Give it a rewatch and let me know what you think after!
He didn’t sell it for $80. The reason he said he sold it is so when he tries the same thing on someone else and it comes to light, he can claim it wasn’t him. It clears the cert# from his name.
also if he actually got scammed he would be looking for a refund of his own. imagine you bought a psa 10 card off someone legit, you try to trade that card months / years later and it turns out its fake. you gonna immediately just sell it for 80$??????????????????????????????????? no your gonna look for a refund its 1000% his card, his scam also who even buys a psa 10 card of any value without checking it on the psa app. no chance he bought it off someone, he is the originator
His overreaction to them saying they are gonna scan and his under reaction to the result is hilarious. Clearly knew it was fake. He's done it before and will continue to do it.
Thank you for sharing. This all looks shady. Extra warning, be on the lookout for PSA cases with mild side damage. Why? Even if the case scans, the card inside could be fake. We recently came across a card at a convention where the PSA case was real, it passed the black light test, it scanned to the proper cert, but the card inside wasn’t real! The PSA case had been split open on the side and resealed. The card was switched out with a high quality, counterfeit. And it was very subtle. It also didn’t match the grade. The card inside looked minty fresh, yet the grade was lower than a 6. Please keep the PSAs coming. To your continued success!
Its just a dead give away that he sold the fake card/slab for $80, because if someone really paid for that item with PayPal(and I m sure if he bought it thinking its real), he probably paid a pretty penny for it, so instead of getting your thousands back from PP, you sell it for $80. Normal people who really accidently purchased a fake card would be pissed off and file a claim, so that right there 100% shows he knew it was a fake which is why he sold it for 80 dollars.
I was uncertain if he knew even looking at his body language after mentioning you were going to scan it he was clearly alerted to a degree but what really sold it for me and fully convinced me that he knew it was fake when he was trying to sell it you is the fact that he came back and said he still sold it. Like you said if he was going to attempt to get his money back from PayPal or his credit card company he would need to provide picture evidence minimally if not send the entire product back like you said. The reality is there likely isn’t a transaction on his PayPal for thousands of dollars he’s trying to have refunded. He in fact probably made money selling it to a local vendor for $80 and that scummy vendor will then turn around and sell it as if it were real to an unsuspecting customer. Anyone with that much money in cards knows how to scan and check if a graded card is authentic. If it was an honest mistake, I wouldn’t be begging them to remove the footage, I would be advocating for them to share it so others aren’t swindled or duped like he was claiming to have been.
Good job catching these guys on camera and not falling prey. Hopefully your video helps another dealer down the road take actions to protect themselves and better look for the signs of a scam.

Way too calm after realizing his card is fake. No way! 😅
When he mentioned he wanted to scan it you could see the worry in his face than afterwards once the card was in his possession is all smiling, got a feeling he knew exactly what he was doing.
his reaction doesn’t correlate or make sense. has essentially no reaction (because his emotions already changed to “i’m exposed” when the guy said i’m gonna scan it earlier). he just nods like “yup i know it’s fake” and the says “why” in the weirdest way possible. your reaction would be a slight jump back and then a genuinely concerned/pissed off “wait why???”
OH HE KNEW SO BADLY.. He got so nervous when you started scanning.. The way he acts, body language.. GUILTY
Also, he obviously didnt have that card together with everything else, it took him ages to pull it out. Also he said nothing about it when you first brought it up. Eww
@@gh0x exactly my thought process after the show. I had to take a step back and look at all the facts. Honestly, I’m so ashamed in myself at the way I reacted in the moment, I wish I would’ve called security or gotten the card confiscated or him thrown out but I honesty believe him at the show. My first big show too…
@@KronosCollects You shouldnt put any blame on yourself. You dodged it and you're taking care of your business by being polite and understanding. Common sense. Of course it would be better to get both him and the card off the floors but you shouldnt put any of that on yourself.
@@KronosCollectsbro this would be so fucked up if you did that. So many cards are faked nowadays for high end. PSA deactivates certs all the time when it becomes know that a card was faked. The original owner then has to send it in for a fresh cert. This guy could be that guy. It happens all time which is why people block certs on socials. I vend. Was buying from another vendor. This guy had a ton of high end, but turns out his psa 9 poncho was deactived. To call him a scammer is a joke - his gold star rays all his other ponchos and gold stars legit. Clearly his card was faked due to him posting on his socials. This dude could very well just be a victim. All these people psycho analyzing his behavior is wild. Also this dudes other heat was legit so got to give some credit there.

THERE IT IS!!!
He didn’t sell it for $80. The reason he said he sold it is so when he tries the same thing on someone else and it comes to light, he can claim it wasn’t him. It clears the cert# from his name.
also if he actually got scammed he would be looking for a refund of his own.
imagine you bought a psa 10 card off someone legit, you try to trade that card months / years later and it turns out its fake.
you gonna immediately just sell it for 80$???????????????????????????????????
no your gonna look for a refund
its 1000% his card, his scam
also who even buys a psa 10 card of any value without checking it on the psa app.
no chance he bought it off someone, he is the originator
7:10 Yes, the usual reaction to finding out you lost thousands of dollars is to silently nod your head. GUILTY.
then sell it for 80 bucks...the smoking gun
His overreaction to them saying they are gonna scan and his under reaction to the result is hilarious.
Clearly knew it was fake. He's done it before and will continue to do it.
It's a cheap card, if you are a real collector you don't give a f about 3300...
@@22Epic clearly dude isn’t a real collector if he doesn’t know how to use the PSA app 😅
I swear, y’all couldn’t take a hint if it was up your arse 😂
At the beginning of the vid:
I thought he didn't know.
At the end of the vid:
Guilty.
Yeah without a doubt, his body language and facial expressions once you said "let me scan it", 100% he knew.
He went from "ill get my money back on paypal or credit card" to... i sold it to someone else for 80$.... what a bozo. Glad you guys released this
Good job catching these guys on camera and not falling prey. Hopefully your video helps another dealer down the road take actions to protect themselves and better look for the signs of a scam.
What a scumbag. Why would he go out of his way to tell you guys that he sold his fake slab? I'm glad that you guys put his face for everyone to see. Even if you give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he didn't know it was fake, he's still a scumbag for selling it to someone and knowing that it's fake. Good thing he outed himself like an idiot and told you guys.
My favorite part was when his smile quickly faded when the vendor mentioned "let me scan it"
This is a really basic scam. Someone looking for it way more than asking and someone with a fake looking for asking price so you buy the fake. Absolutely working together.
He knew what he was doing and you did the right thing posting this. He would just continue doing this to people.
Hopefully people recognize this dude and watch out.
Now he will just pay someone to do it for him.
"where did you buy it?" *CLASSIC LYING BODY LANGUAGE AND EYE MOVEMENT* instant i saw that i knew he was lying out his ass lol.
Thanks for sharing- I didn’t know about the psa app till your video
His face at 6:51 when you said you were gonna scan it 😄 he blinked rapidly, all the blood from his head went to his toes and his soul left his body lol he knew exactly what he was doing
That smile fade, nod followed by “Why?” 😂 100% gave himself away.
The guy asking for the card doesn't look like a coincidence to me. Can it be an organized crime? First person come in and say I need a specific card and ready to pay x amount. And second person comes in and say I will sell the card (obviously fake) at lesser amount. To make quick bucks, sellers may fall into this trap.
@@premgct87 I agree with your point, he did however share with me his personal phone number which I’m not sure any scammer would do. I was brokering a deal between him and someone that had an LC Zard at a BGS 9 so that’s the reason I had his number. I wholeheartedly believe that he was not apart of the scam but just a coincidence

Late comment, but here's question. Playing devi's advocate, if you scanned all his other cards and they were real like you said, and you said that you specifically offered to buy this one only out of what he brought, maybe he did not know either? Just a thought I had...
im new to slabs, can't they use a real one qr and code when faking a slab?
The simplest explanation is usually the correct one and you hit the nail on the head here. Obvious scammer.
What I'm more curious about is. Can anyone tell me where he got the foldable briefcase slab holder from. Never seen it before...

GUYS! look at the couple that stroll in around the 7:00 mark, guy with the black cap and red shirt & pregnant Asian lady. They immediately latch onto the interaction even from afar and as soon as they hear “it’s fake”, they panic and split off. The Asian girl comes back around to “browse” but it’s clear her attention is on what’s happening, and it looks like she’s recording it. Keeps nervously glancing at the sellers, the phone and the cameras. The guy in the red shirt/black cap circles back and the pregnant lady leaves with him signaling to him by shaking her head “no”.
Accomplices? 🤔 wouldn’t be surprised if they’re all in on it.
well spotted
Great catch! The pregnant lady surely in on it.
Dude this 100%. They're both wearing earbuds and when the vendor says "oh wait, hold on" they rubber neck through the crowd to look at what's going on. She takes a quick couple of steps in front of the red shirt/black hat. They were listening in.

I dont get it, if you're able to make a fake psa slab, shouldnt you just take a number and QR code that already exist?

yea that's so true. his smile was so permeating and for what? an $80 refund. when it could've been $30,000. i'd blame christianity for giving people ability to permeate a fake smile.
He knew it was fake, the way he touches his face right after is a common self-soothing tell. You can also see his hands start to shake more immediately after hearing 'let me scan it real quick'. He knew the jig was up and internally panicked. This guy comes off as someone who got scammed who was trying to pass off his mistake more than an intentional scammer. Intentional scammers are generally cool under pressure and tend to feel very little fear while trying to sell off their products because they've done it a bunch of times (it's lost the excitement and guilt).
Never mind the scammers verbally responses once he hears the card is fake. His body language by itself is so nonchalant as if “ oh. Whoops. “ if I bought a card that expensive, didn’t do my due diligence confirming, then I’d be pacing around/ and near that table really upset.
Hate these people
He shakes his head yes when you say “I’m probably not going to be able to buy this”. He knew that was coming. What a scumbag.

Yeah... at first i was willing to give that guy the benefit of the doubt. Cards trade hands so often that someone could have bought a fake card and put it in a psa case and sold it to this dude. That could still be the case, but that guy 100% knew it was fake. His demeanor completely changed in an instant when he said he was going to scan that card, and his facial expression when from happy go lucky to tense and worried. Someone who was just being told that their $3300 card is fake would have had such an emotional response, yet he acted like nothing was out of the ordinary. 100% guilty.
