The History of the Dual Berettas in CSGO

- Right now, the Dualies have experienced somewhat of a renaissance in top-level CSGO. Despite this, I don't actually think that the dual berettas are overpowered. In this video, I explain why some people seem to think this, and why they are actually quite balanced. I also go through the history of the dualies in CSGO, and talk about how this seemingly horrible sidearm has managed to find itself a niche usage in professional play.

My first ace was with a negev on Nuke
They're not as good as in previous CS games, but even at 400$ they were very good already. They were very good for pistol rounds but also as a sidearm for sniping. They deal good damage and aren't that inaccurate. And the 30rnd cap is excellent. The price drop made it better indeed, thanks for covering the topic. And remember it's not because pros don't use it that a certain weapon suck.

@@st4my721 yeah but css wasn't competitive and the weapons were kinda broken in some cases, but people saying they were bad comparing them with css actually doesn't make sense they're just balanced rn

@@st4my721 All the pistols suck in css except the deagle lmao, the elites are probably the second best pistol in css other than MAYBE the p228. And the other guy is right, css was never taken seriously as a competitive game.

I always used dualies since 2016 and is probably one of the weapons I'm best with. Glad to see it getting more attention now.
Dualies have been my fav weapon forever and having them get more attention is great
It’s cool to see how much you know about the franchise and the game. Also refreshing you seem to actually like the game more than skins
Their damage, just like any other pistol, is enough for the pistol round. What makes it the best pistol for CT side, however, is that it has a lot of bullets (which is useful when the enemies are rushing towards you), it has a very high firerate (again useful against rushes), and its recoil spread isn't garbage like the CZ.

I love dualies, they're aesthetic and have more magazine, therefore my one and only choice.

Honestly the main reason why I throw and stay in silver is because the Negev and duelies are my favorite weapons

I started buying duales as a sidearm to my AWP when they reduced the damage of the p250 so it didn't 1tap anymore... And I still buy it on T pistolrounds with two flashes eventhough I could afford a smoke since the update :D
Me and my friend has been rocking the double dualies strat in pistol round for a year now, ever since they dropped to $300 I found it wild noone else seemed to use them

Duelies have always been strong. Same with the Kreig and Aug. Just people are now exploring and seeing the strengths in different weapons
And now they will get nerfed to the ground just like sg and aug did. I was using those two guns long before the events that led to this and I hate "professionals" who were crying so much about them. I think if guns were nerfed to half of something of what they were and what we got now, it would have been much better, but now they barely have a use, especially sg.
Historically speaking, CS Source version of the dualies was arguably one of the best pistols in the game.

@@Robinson_Entertainment aren't nerfed heavy?! Recoil is doubled, firing speed decreased to equal one of m4a1s for aug and for sg it is even lower. Price never was a concern. Oh, and aug now can only headshot helmets point-blank. Before the nerf you had a couple more meters of that capability.

Love the melee reference. I feel like your style of relaxing and informative content is a lot more common in the melee scene, with people like AsumSaus. Do you take some inspiration from those sorts of videos?
I mean some people still dont expect a scroll wheel guns blazer with dualies rushing them on pistol rounds. It makes for a good surprise on short distance

When I still played csgo, i was ranked around DMG rank and used dualies all the time much to the anguish of my team, I've been using the dualies as my main secondary weapons from the original CS days good times all round :P
I still have less than 100 hours in CS as a whole so I’m not exactly a pro or anything but recently I’ve been buying dualies, a flash and a frag. This 0’s me out so probably not the best strat, but it at least makes me feel like I have so many options in the round.
It would be cool if each gun was tied to it's own bind. In 1.6 I would bind shoot to mouse wheel up and down and when I scrolled it would be full auto. Very fun

I've always bought them for holding close sites on CT pistol, I was so confused when I came back recently and started seeing a ton of them in Comp lmao
I've been playing hostage maps on casual lately (usually on CT side so as to challenge myself on the obviously weaker side) and I found that the dualies are good for ecos if you're pushing a very tight corridor like Italy's... appartment? whatever it's called, you know which one I mean
Yeah dualies on pistol rounds and mag7 on gun rounds are best weapons to clear apts in Italy
Another reason to use dualies is they have some coolest looking skins in the game - melondrama,twin turbo,dualing dragons,the one from the recent case

The dualies are my favorite gun(s?) in the game, and at $300 they're even better. They can absolutely demolish full site rushes on pistol rounds and eco rounds, and the fact that you get 30 rounds that can be fired rapidly combined with the run-and-gun nature makes them a clear choice for an entry fragger. Out of all the guns in CS, I have the most aces with the dualies. Absolutely insane!

I've always thought of the dualies as the kid brother of the PP-Bizon. Piss-weak damage against armor but fast firing, cheap and with a good movement speed making it great for counter-eco play where the enemy doesn't have helmets.
The Duelies are always my go to pistol when I used to play the game and after I don't play it anymore... I've sold all of the weapon skins I have but I still keep my Fac New Cobalt Quartz Duelies... they're beautiful...
They say you should always buy during pistol rounds... so I get dualies T side with maybe a nade and armour for CT.
As someone who had single Beretta used, it takes the fun out but can make it used over an amount of pistols ngl

was it just me that was bugged by the fact that penguin had his crosshair off-centered in the beginning?
I remember how me and a homie played on a minigame map, and there was a pistol minigame where you had to kill from far away. We were mostly running USPs, but once I decided to try Dualies and we've realised that they have better random bullet deviation than any other pistol. As the cherry on top, recent reduction in price to $400 was HUGE and I've always bought Dualies on pistol rounds since. I have also figured out how busted the old SIG 553 was, and ran it instead of AK for a year before it got nerfed.
Let me get you in on a secret... Accuracy by volume or chip damage have never been significant in CS:GO, buuuut... At just $1400 you might get great bang for your buck with a Bizon. Also, no one expects a jackass to jump out from around a corner, pre-firing away
duallies are an underrated pistol round pick
not so underrated anymore now that pretty much every pro team has at least one playing dualies on ct
i think when it comes to new weapons its more about the mechanics. The negev and the revolvo are so different in their mechanics compared to all the other weapons, that it is even harder for the community to accept them as a part of the game.
The Bizon is a godly smg, definitely deserves more recognition
I've been using the duelies for years, but nobody every believed me when I said they're a more than viable option if you know how to use them.
Now wait 'til people hear about the hidden potential of the PP Bizon...
dualies are for sure slept on outside of pistols though, it can be a really good sidearm if youre awping bc of the movement speed + accuracy and firerate

been using the dualies since I started playing, the 300 price just makes them crazy, 2 guns for cheaper than 1
another good analogy for the dualies, is the spy in tf2. spy is easily the weakest class in regular combat, but he can instantly kill any enemy with a back stab with his knife, he can also go invisible for a limited time, and disguise himself as an enemy, which are useful for getting behind your enemies. only problem with spy is that a hint of communication basically completely shuts him down, which rarely happens in casual, but obviously happens in competitive play.
I never even knew it was buffed, and I thought it was gonna be like the CZ, with one or two points of damage added or something, how didn't I hear about the price decrease? I use buy binds and don't use dualies, so I would have never known I guess

Duelies are kinda like a version of the Glock that the ct can buy, while p250 are a version of the usp/p2k that the t can buy. Tho idk if it is pointless to buy duelies on t side like how it is pointless to buy p250 on ct pistols
as always csgo weapons are in the game for a long time and only discovered after a few years
like the aug and krieg which was supposedly super broken, yet had existed in that state for several years before they were "discovered"

It's disturbing how many people are using the dualies now, as the only people who used them before Riptide were either memeing or absolutely dedicated to the dual pistols. It's honestly kind of cool, though. It's about time the second most badass sidearm in the game gets its due (at least in 2 out of the 30+ rounds of a game lol).
You'd be surprised what a well placed Negev can do to the most experienced players in the first rounds
It can be a useful pressure weapon if used correctly

Every time a weapon sees more action people think it’s overpowered. I think it’s just one more option on pistol rounds now. I still prefer a Glock/USP. I take armor on CT or a smoke & flash on T side. In MM no other T’s buy utility so I take that role
