Everything that happened to Adrian was G-Man playing him like a card he wanted to win. From his very training Shephard was put up in rank to Corporal because G-Man told his superiors to do so, he let Adrian out of a radioactive acid trap but kept him from being able to obey orders and leave to safety, he tested him against the Race-X invasion despite planning to nuke the Black Mesa to wipe that out a few minutes later anyway, and he even at the end he refused to give Adrian a choice. unlike Gordon, Shepherd has training. He survived the same trial as Gordan and proved to be another effective one man calamity. G-man hasn't forgotten Shepherd and still intends to play him in the field.
Adrian could’ve went home and fought against the combine dying with his fellow marines next him, but had to be trapped because a man in a suit realized his potential

So g man did what he could with Shepard and then shelved him. I mean imagine if their places were swapped. A random soldier couldn’t inspire the rebellion the way that Gordon did. Shepard is the typical action hero and that’s why he’s stuck in stasis. Because to stop everything at black mess and save everyone on earth later on… they didn’t need an action hero. They needed a man. Freeman.
Could you imagine going to some kind of crazy disaster on a facility, you dont know who or WHAT you're up against, but when you finally get to a point to leave, a man in a suit stops you, forcing you to stay in this hell hole, watching your men get killed left and right. 0:27 Not sure if the animator was going for a reference to the last episode of breaking bad, but I loved this part. Adrian Shepherd is my favorite of all the Half Life player characters.
Adrian gazes at the suited man, pleading. But it's no use. The osprey lifts itself out in a plume of dust, taking his brothers in arms out to salvation. He's left behind, abandoned to the monsters that lurk in the cold walls and the canyon crevices. Left to survive under the desert sun and fend for himself on the sterile floors, slippery with blood.
I wonder what made G-man interested in Adrian in the first place. A common marine, who apparently reminded him of himself? Besides, G-man is the reason Shepard was high in the marine ranks(top 10). And then he just decided to save him, but prevent his escape, just to see if Adrian was a worthy subject? A shame we will probably never get answers or even a game where Adrian will make a comeback, considering that he is the one to be interesting to G-man himself, and not his employers, that were actually not keen on keeping Corporal in stasis.
True. I think G man just collected those who he thought had limitless potential and could prove a threat to the aliens like Freeman, Alyx and Shepherd. Shepard's rank was literally 4th lowest rank since he's an E-4, a corporal. He's not even a commissioned officer. (E stands for Enlisted, you don't need any college degree to join). That's like saying a lieutenant is great because lieutenant is O-1 and the highest rank possible is O-10. Nope, that dude is straight out of the college. One thing that doesn't make sense about HL is that everyone in the platoon or even company treats him as some kind of war hero. I don't see any reason for anyone to overglorify a corporal unless he's prior service (rejoined the military). Which I highly doubt that he re-enlisted because he was just 22.

Towards the end of HL:OF we meet a security guard who says to Shephard “I guess you’re a good guy corporal” I really regret not using this line in the edit. It reflects on shephards character and tells us that he’s a selfless man willing to help others in this dire situation.
Imagine killing zombies, aliens, getting abandoned by your own government force, having all your friends dead, and having to witness a bunch of scientists die, get teleported to a pocket dimension just to find out that the world is now run by aliens and nobody remembers you
I hope the new half life game will arrive shortly when valve learns to count to 3. I also hope it'll have Shephard in it because damn has he been waiting
i think Shepard might be Gman's Ace card, to play whenever a situation occurs he didnt plan for, when there is seemingly no options left for victory, Gman has Shepard to put in the field a one man Apocalypse that will turn the tide against whoever is dumb enough to cross Gman. But that time will never come Gman is allways 5 steps ahead in any situation, so Shepard will forever be in stasis because gman would never let a situation get so bad he would have to send in his trump card.
Adrian's combat strategy is unbelievable. Because he just survived an extreme alien invasion with a kevlar. I think when he gets hev suit he become an avenger.

i really like the lil head turning at 0:25
0:14 dafuk dustbow from tf2
Oh shid they noticed!
when i was late for the bus
I hope the new half life game will arrive shortly when valve learns to count to 3. I also hope it'll have Shephard in it because damn has he been waiting
i hope so too
They need to bring him back in the next game
In case you didn''t notice, When Shephard makes an appearance on the screen: He Is Literally me.
This is one of the best edits of the song I've seen
You perfectly used the lines "Forget about Freeman!" and "Our own race, turning against us"
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!! I really put in a lot of effort into this video so it means a lot to me
I still hope that we see him in HL3.
i just love the fact that the headcrab at 0:25 is the one from hl2
And its the model for Lamarr. This just explains how lazy i got towards the end
In my opinion, Adrian Shepard should have been the replacement for Gordon Freeman, not Alex Vance
i think Shepard might be Gman's Ace card, to play whenever a situation occurs he didnt plan for, when there is seemingly no options left for victory,
Gman has Shepard to put in the field a one man Apocalypse that will turn the tide against whoever is dumb enough to cross Gman.
But that time will never come Gman is allways 5 steps ahead in any situation, so Shepard will forever be in stasis because gman would never let a situation get so bad he would have to send in his trump card.
idk how but the choppy animation makes it better
It fits the hl1 models and animations
i miss him everyday
Same 😞
This is amazing
Adrian's combat strategy is unbelievable. Because he just survived an extreme alien invasion with a kevlar. I think when he gets hev suit he become an avenger.
he or even freeman for that matter got that far only because of gman. it's barney who deserves a break. gman gave him no plot armor and his armor was nothing like an HEV or PCV
@@technotron8637 I read somewhere this, he is just survived by his combat intelligience, other things is not directly helped him for his survive. After this war, when he survive, i think he get marshal rank 😁
@@technotron8637 But Shephard destroyed gene worm with half hev suit and he worked alone more time than Gordon and Barney. And he is more talanted to using organic weapons than high ranked soldiers. That makes him cooler than others 😎
@@ripdv i agree. Shephard was truly the perfect girl. I really hope we see him in future valve games
@@technotron8637 Bruh. U put h-ecu girls into my mind. How i forget this ?
He’s literally me fr
0:25 Blade Runner
0:27 Breaking Bad
He literally me
Literally us!
@@technotron8637 real
this video on source would be golden mate. You made the scenes so f'ing good too
Thanks a lot!
I love how you put the old barney model with the MP helmet
It’s actually the standard barney model. Because he’s the source model, his helmet is brighter than the sun for some reason. But tbh using the MP barney would’ve been funnier
ojala adrian shephard regrese para half life 3 o como se llame la siguiente entrega
ALONE
It’s been more than 20 years and he is still stuck in the pocket dimensional 😢
0:27 shepherd think he's walter white
"YOU FUCKS DON'T LEAVE ME HERE.... PLEASE"
“MICHAEL! DONT LEAVE ME HERE! MICHAAAAEEEEL!!!!”
They rather remind me of my self..
GMan is Gordon FreeMan.
Bro literally said “yo dude, you’re literally me”
Maybe its because low poly models but adrian looks cute 😊
He looks hot fr 🥵
I can feel him coming inside of me 😩
I love that even though the model has no face somehow I feel like I can see several different emotions through the gas mask.
I SAW THAT BREAKING BAD REFERENCE YOU FOOL!
