- A lot of time, energy, and tiny details went into make these very pretty (and tasty!) marbled cookie creations--and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out! This timelapse shows all of the details and techniques that go into creating a single cookie in this set.
The inspiration for these cookies came from my new obsession with watercoloring! I love the freedom of painting and watching the colors flow across the icing to create a unique design on each and every cookie. No two cookies are exactly alike, and I think there's such significance and beauty in that! I'm also obsessed with marble--it has such a sleek, sophisticated, and stylish look to it. I did my best to embody all of those qualities in this very cool cookie set!

Masona Kamara thank you so much!! I truly appreciate it 💕
Beautiful- We’re the cookies wet when you painted them?
About how long per cookie did this technique take?? So pretty!
Amazing! the most beautiful marbled cookies I've seen! I have tried the watercolor technique a couple of times with very bad luck. I used vodka or lemon extract but for some reason the solution seems to create crackles on the royal icing, the finnish is gritty and not smooth, why do you think this is? how long do you leave your royal icing to dry and between layers of paint and gold details, etc? thanks so much in advance for your answers
I used vodka for a few months and the gold paint seemed to eat my icing so, I researched it and found out vodka has a high water content and that using Everclear, pretty much pure grain alcohol, works much better! I still use vodka for general cookie painting with gel food coloring because Everclear can change the colors, but, for metallic gold/silver, Everclear is, hands down, the best!
Very beautiful Cookies. But I was hoping for more direction. I drying time before painting. What were you painting with? What were you diluting with?
These are so beautiful!!😍 Also, what the heck? Why don't you have a ton of likes yet?!?
Haha aww your comment made me smile, thank you so much!
This is exquisite! Did you have several different shades of blue? Am just learning how to do watercolor. The navy is outstandingly gorgeous
Did you make the gold paint or do you purchase pre made?
I love the technique you used. What type of brush did you use? Do I need to find a food grade brush, if there are such brushes?
Nancy Khawand thank you so much! Yes, the brushes I used are specifically made for food decorating. They’re from the brand Sunny Side Up Bakery, which I was able to get at Hobby Lobby. Wilton also makes sets of decorating brushes that are great as well!
Hi! Love these! Did you paint with gel colour mixed with vodka? And did you paint when the icing was wet or dry? Thanks
That was my questions too?
Me too!
was the paint used on wet RI or dry??
Disculpa que color de azul es ?
Did you mix the color with water?
Precious Cakes by Rosy I used clear vanilla extract and mixed that with my americolor gel food coloring!
@@palettetopalatecreations4820 Can you use liquid food colour if you have no food gel?
What is the white frosting and where do I find watercolor frosting
Cipher Quest the white frosting is Royal Icing and the watercolor is just gel food coloring mixed with a clear vanilla extract!
