I usually don’t like thin threats/ yarns but when I saw you I said to my self I have to do it I’m in round 8 and I’m loving it. You might not be the designer but you are a great teacher and the best you speak English….lol…. Thank you.

Oh, I did. IMO, the Japanese make the most beautiful crochet thread patterns I've ever seen. They really rival some of the work I've seen from Europe. I get a lot of inspiration from them when I'm designing a pattern.
I finished this today, just in time for Christmas (which we celebrate on the Eve). Very pretty and simple. The repetitive 5chain - double crochet pattern makes this doily a perfect project for when watching a movie or having tea in the afternoon. It did end up quite a bit bigger than one would assume just from looking at it which is rather impressive since it is so quick a project.
Hello Raine. May be I am not able to understand the pattern because my thread is very thin. I don't know what number it is. So I plan to buy a little thicker thread n do it all over again. I had almost given up but now I won't. Then I'll get back. God bless you dear
After doing row 6 my doily looks like a baby hat. I will just continue and wish it will eventually become flat again. Hopefully. My target is to make a dream catcher. :))
I'm working on this now and I'm following both the video and your written tutorial. On rnd 7 on the video you do the skip one dc, 1 dc in the next three dc's, and on the written instructions you dc one in next three, skip the fourth. Which should I follow? Thank you for sharing.
Hi, it works both ways. First, when starting the round, dc 1 in each 3 dc and skip the 4th, and after you have worked ch2+sc+ch2 in the ch4-space, you will skip 1st dc and dc 1 in each next 3 dc. I hope this helps!
Can you tell me how to reduce it to make it smaller? I need it to be about 12" after blocking. I love the pattern so much! It's gorgeous! Just too big for the space I need. :(
You could try using crochet thread size 20 or even thinner. You could also skip some rounds that only have chains. Feel free to experiment! Happy crocheting!
will the tulip doily be easier. I must inform you that I completed the 3d doily with some mistakes which nobody can make out. Friends have asked me to some for them. Will try. On second thoughts I don't think I will make the wind rose doily. The more I look at the way you are mnaking, the more it disuades me.
I found the very beginning of row 11 a bit confusing but in order to make 5 into 3, I chained 3 as the first dc and then worked 2dctog. over the next 2 sts., twice. this way, I ended up with 3 sts. total before going on. The written instruction and what you were showing on this video were not making any sense to me. I hope this helps! :)

Most doilies curl when crocheting them. They always need to be blocked to get the nice flat shape.
