Made this doily today..turned out beautiful..few points though 1. Pls mention yarn requirement. I was thinking it required 100 grams while it took less than 50 g. 2. Ch1 in the beginning of round doesn't count as a stitch. So when you finish by slip stitching into 1st chain.. it should be first stitch..not the ch1. Ch3 however counts as a stitch. I suppose someone who crochets regularly will be able to guess their way through it. I made guesses..and took clues from the videos. If I'm a beginner I'd have found it a little difficult.. Thanks..very beautiful doily
Yes, I know that the description of the pattern is not very successful, (considering that English is not my mother tongue) ..I showed this pattern in my own way. That's how I knew at the time.(I want to improve with each video).. This is one of my first videos on this channel ... because it is not a video for beginners, you may have difficulty.(I didn't specify anywhere that it would be a video for beginners) Anyway, it was a challenge to present this pattern in detail, which lasted a day of filming .... + Editing. The only thing I need to criticize tho, is that your thumb is often covering the crochet stitches where you're currently working in, which makes it a little bit harder to follow if you don't exactly know how to make that particular crochet part. And the fond was a little hard to read at the beginning :'D But other than that very good to follow ^^

Just one question... is it normal for the doily not to lay completely flat or to "warp" around the edges at any time during the process? I am on round 8 and I am finding that my edges aren't laying perfectly flat.

You have the ability in video settings to change your playback speed from normal to very slow , so you will figure out where you were wrong. I wish you good luck !

Yes, it's normal. The crochet pattern is brought into shape after ironing . ( You can do this between rounds if you want it to look nice ).
