I remember saying to myself on my last 500.. Its an adventure when sitting watching the rain blatter down , But I should have been saying.. ITS SCOTLAND.. and waited longer over a coffee and cake 🎂.. I will use your approach on my upcoming trip. 👍 😁 Thakyou my friend 👍 🏍️🏍️
Just found your channel, very good video. I never go up the A9 anymore, average speed cameras just kill the enjoyment. Much better to go up the A93 via Glen Sheen and Braemar then Tomintoul.
I live in Inverness done the nc500 in 2019 great bike to do it on think I spent 100 quid on fuel that's when it was cheeper tho good run 👌also done Wales and Ireland check out some of my videos, 100 percent recommend the wild atlantic way
Great video mate , you should have went up the A82 by Glasgow where I’m from then Balloch, Luss, The Green Wellie, Glencoe, Fort Augustus , Loch Ness you missed all the best roads 🤦♂️🤦♂️
They were great for me! I've never used side bags before so I don't know how they compare to more up market stuff, however they kept all of my stuff dry and I had plenty of space! A good option on a budget I would say!
When did you go? I was there in June 2022 with the same weather and it was also cold but I went the other way around from Lanark to Ullapool then the next day on to JoG and back to Lanark, it was so bad I did a planned four day trip in two, riding for 12 hours a day it was fine until Ullapool then it was non stop persistent rain until I got back to Lanark the next evening over 700 miles on my 2022 Super cub with camping gear including Applecross pass. You do not need a big adventure bike to actually have an adventure just plan your fuel stops along the way and take your credit card as a lot of village pumps are unmanned and only take cards.

I think the term 'its scotland' is definitely right for trying to explain the weather to myself!! 😂. Thank you for watching!

Thanks for the recommendation! I’d like to do another NC500 trip one day and Il definitely be avoiding the A9!

Thank you for watching! I've been that way in the car before, great roads! We went this way to be somewhere we hadn't been before! 👌
Thanks for the video, Im thinking of doing the NC500 in May and was looking at luggage. How did tot get on with the Bagtecs panniers? Cheers

I am doing the NC500 in May on my T7, and was wondering the same thing about the luggage :-)
@@pw3591 I had the Yamaha top box rack and used then the bags sat in the right place for me on their own! 👍

We went in late September! And I agree, it's not as remote as some people believe! I'd say the most important thing to bring is waterproofs! 🤣
Up the A9 from Perth to Aviemore 😴 You couldn't get it any more wrong if you tried.
As he said in the video, the views are great. The average speed cameras are shite. The A93 thru the actual cairngorms is far superior
Not being funny is there any need to the foul language
