Gohan had the power to hurt goku's brother and vageta and friza. and he didn't have any training. when the Buu Saga introduced him to the ultimate form we thought that Gohan will achieve another transformation like a Super Saiyan ultimate form. Bt unfortunately the Dragon Ball Z & Dragon Ball super only focuses on Goku since he was the main reason that the show became popular. so they have had to downgrade gohan in order to make Goku stronger and introduce another character who are stronger than Goku and Vegeta

My favorite part about this story is the fact that Frieza having Kai DNA would do a lot to explain his absurd amounts of untapped potential as of Super and beyond

The dragon is always trying to leave as soon as possible after being summoned. Saying stuff like "stop wasting my time" and "do not keep me waiting". And I always thought that if the dragon was just sleeping in the dragon balls, why would it so desperately want to go back to sleep? I always had this head cannon where the dragon must be summoned to earth, or Namek from some other world where the dragons live. This would explain why they always are in such a hurry to leave after granting the wishes.
In my opinion Gohan broke the rule to unlocking his powers....to keep training. If he had kept training after cell who knows how powerful he would of been against buu. The truth is that’s just an alternate timeline. He allowed his fighting spirit to rest and his younger brother was able to surpass him. I blame chi chi 🤣😅

I really love the GT/AF era. Storytelling is so much more creative, deep nostalgic and emotional. The stakes are higher and Goku seems to have transcended life and death. The fact that the Gods themselves had to look beyond their own dimensions to locate Goku and the great effort it was to bring him back was absolutely astounding. This story is criminally underrated. I wish Super gave us stories like this...
You can clearly see that Toyotaro used this as a draft for the Zamasu arc : a Kayoshin turns against their universe and uses Goku's body to reach their goal, and falls against a "sacred sword", it being the Z-sword or Trunks'. I would even say that the Zamasu arc was on par with this one. It's unfortunate that Dragon Ball Super introduced Gods and Angels, and also Zeno as a reset button. The tension can never truly reach that of DBZ or even DBGT when you have Beerus, Whis and Zeno looking from afar and save the world if needed...
I really enjoy these too. There's one guy doing a story about Vegito the God destroyer. It's been going on for over a year and still going! It's getting so stupid lol.
@@abhradeepghosh7102 Vegeta is my favorite character, but he only wants to get stronger when someone stronger than him exists. On the other hand Goku is always exploring how to get stronger just because it’s fun and not because of pride. This is why Goku is always farther ahead than Vegeta.
This was incredible and your delivery had me engrossed as well. I love how Broly took on the old school Vegeta role as Vegeta has mellowed out and actually taken on Goku’s role in his absence. That was beautifully written and you can see how Broly and even Xicor could potentially end up as part of the next generation of Z-fighters and more importantly, Saiyans.
for real had tears falling down my face when Kame said "Maybe my job is done.." then seeing him with all his loved ones in their prime hit me even harder
I got so hyped when Vegeta was recycling his transformations. It's clever ideas like those that DBS desperately needs. I gotta be honest, this is more intriguing to me than the current DBS manga. I want to see it be continued so badly. #XicorForever
To be fair in the Goku Black arc Vegeta did the same thing against Goku Black. He kept quickly switching from Super Saiyan God to Blue form and back. This was in the manga

Krillin is probably my fave character in DB/Z/S. He’s got so much character development as just like,,, a normal dude you know? He always manages to be somewhat useful and is always humble. He’s got experience and knows his limits and honestly I think that’s pretty baller
My favorite character being Tien, the way he turns from an antagonist and realizes his wrongs in his early years and actually becomes a great rival to Son Goku, his development from DB-DBZ was immaculate, Yet in Super his potential was wasted due to Toriyama practically saying "I don't want to play with you anymore." As he throws Tien down the drain.
I have to say I liked it. Firstime a storyteller did not make me get out of the narrative. Great work, keep being you and bring more work when possible. 100K thumbs up

The original goal was to have Gohan replace Goku in the series after he died, but Goku was just too popular, and Gohan's passive personality didn't fit.

1:10:35 It's not just Tien. This character says "You're gonna go through me, Yam-shinhan!" Which means, it's should be a Fusion of Yamcha and Tien. Also, if you look at his suit, it looks like the one on Gogeta. So Tien and Yamcha did the Fusion Dance.
After the original shock and awe of Goku going SSJ3 for the first time, not much in dragonball has really been mind-blowing. Don't get me wrong, I super love every minute, but after that it's all been a matter of scale. Now the part with Vegeta's strategy of snapping from form to form only for the instant he needs each one, THAT absolutely slaps! Especially since it's not just another new power level or transformation. It's a whole new strategy. And a kickass one at that. It would have been the most amazing thing to see that going up against Jiren... he'd still lose. But it would have been amazing 😁
I always saw Xicor as a precursor to Zamasu. Always bummed me out not many others noticed the similarities at the time when he debuted in Super. But now I'm glad to know the Xicor story is still getting praise after all these years
zamasu is a bitch compared to xicor. this story is much more interesting with real stakes on the line. zamasu became a joke when he lets goku and vegeta escape from him 3 times.
I've been a fan for over 25 yrs. Like many long-term fans, we tend to fall off, then have to binge watch to catch up. But the story arcs change so fast, there's no way we can keep up with all of them. Thank you for sharing this amazing story arc. Master Rosji's was a splendid death. Gohan..daggone Chi-chi. He should be way more powerful. That's the most frustrating part of this whole story. That being said, Gohan is still my man...with "King" Vegeta being a very close second. EDIT: Forget that. Vegeta is my favorite. Kakarot is strongest, but Vegeta is the smartest fighter.
What do you have against Chi-Chi? She tried to raise Gohan the best she could. As far as she knew, Goku was the strongest person in the universe, but he was never going to have a high paying job or even be the best father. She had to prepare Gohan for college and a highly competitive workforce (Japan). Gohan didn't show any aptitude for martial arts or physical activity in general. He was just a kid when he was kidnapped, twice! That shit was traumatizing for him, and for her as well. Of course she wanted to keep Gohan out of danger. Kid Gohan was nothing like kid Goku. He was drafted into fights he had no business being in. It was tragic! Gohan's personality is so cool! He has a great degree of emotional intelligence, and that helped him see the good in piccolo, and helped him build a friendship with him. He recognized that piccolo was more his father than Goku, and paid him respect like a father. He didn't like fighting. Who would? It was always just a game for Goku. But for Gohan it was horrifying. His life was in danger the entire time they were on namek, and he used his wits to stay alive. He didn't have the same kind of plot armor that Goku did, he experienced true terror that Goku never did on his child adventures. I'm really glad we have Gohan to be his own character, and not a mini Goku, or the new Goku. It's really cool to see that he could still be the hero if he needs to be (cell, Future androids timeline). Chichi did the best she could as a poor (usually) single mother in a rural area. Yeah her Tsundere characterization made her super flat and annoying, but her actions had reason. Letting your child be a like... Kid avenger is actually an insane thing to do and it's amazing she even let him do all his training and fighting, even begrudgingly
Depending on which version you find online depends on Xicor's survival at the end of the story. Both end in Xicor's defeat by SS5 Goku. The other version has it that he is defeated but is later revived from death and later joins the Z Fighters upon learning the truth about his father. In truth, Xicor would eventually take his father's mantle as he always dreamed of but not in the way he originally intended. Xicor, in this version, would live on and marry to have children with Broly's own daughter Tato who, like her father, is a LSS but like Xicor...she is half divine half Saiyan as her mother is the sister of Princess Snake from Other World. Xicor becomes a major part of the Z Fighters and their absolute strongest fighter next to Goku himself. The Xicor Saga of this version is followed by the Evil Goku Saga which stems from the Ritual that brought Goku back from the Dragon Realm. As Shenron stated at the end of GT, it takes 100 years to purify the Dragon Balls of their negative energies but Goku was brought back 3 years after Omega Shenron was defeated. This had dire consequences as the negative energies within the Dragon Balls turned inward into Goku, since he was fused with the Dragon Balls, and the negative energies began to take over Goku to where he was becoming hostile and angry and bitter all the time until it consumed him entirely...making him the next story arc's antagonist. Story goes that it took SS4 Broly and SS4 Bardock to defeat SS5 Evil Gogeta in the end. Xicor had been defeated by his father during the fighting (not killed) and Gohan was turned back to his teenage version of himself from when he fought Cell as one of Goku's powers was to have the same wishing powers as Shenron, due to being fused with the Dragon Balls. But not much else is known about the Evil Goku Saga that follows after the Xicor Saga of DBAF.

Vegeta Transforming in-between each ssj forms remind me of goku doing same with ssg and ssgss in his fights against hit (in manga ) and at t.o.p fighting with hit against pride troopers ( in anime ) lol
Well, he (Toyotaro) used the same idea when Vegeta fights Goku Black in DBS manga. (Stay in SSG, transform into SSB in instant when attacking to conserve stamina).
By the way, i just thought it was worth mentioning since i dont think Doulie spotted it, Tien had Yamcha's scars, and ponytail, so this isnt JUST Tien, it's Tien and Yamcha's fusion that helped buy time to call Goku back to earth

Looking at this video today with all the current events going on with Akira Toriyama passing away, especially with Master roshi in the story closing his eyes and leaving and going to heaven... Man that hits hard right now. At this moment it really hits hard when you think about it. I strongly believe Toyotarou is going to do a great job.

I've always been conflicted about this story for a few reasons. If Frieza's mom was a supreme kai then Frieza should've been a LOT stronger than he was! Supreme kai Shin, told Vegeta that any of the supreme kais could've ended Frieza with one blow. So in comparison to her, Frieza was like a Raditz! So how was Frieza hailed as the most powerful being in the universe?!
That king cold is a beta male compared to this goku... maybe that makes the difference. One a God, and a weak mortal (comparatively). And then xicor born from a God like frieza but also a father that rivals the strongest gods. That's a pretty big difference. I agree that frieza should be stronger, but when frieza was in early dragon ball he was like a God. Hindsight 20/20, but regardless just due to his parentage, xicor should be much stronger than frieza comparatively and in order to be relevant these days against SSJ4's, he's got to be ridiculously strong.
I disagree, what we saw was frieza’s just natural power never training a day in his life, so it makes sense that he wasn’t at his strongest and full potential, and after training for just a few months he was able to become as strong as super saiyan BLUE goku! Somebody that in base form is as strong as a suppressed beerus who was able to shit on majin buu with no difficulty, frieza when he trains for such a little time became that strong so it would make sense that his mother was a supreme kai.
Thats explained in dbs. He himself said that he has never trained in his entire life coz nobody was strong enough to match his strength. Then he train for few months to reach the level where goku took to reach in his entire life till then. Now everything makes sense. Frieza got so strong fast eventhough he is not a god and there is nobody else from the frieza race. Maybe coz he is a hybrid of kai and other species his father belong. Maybe dbs is going to move on to db AF. Its gr8🤩🤩🤩

If Vegeta could get hyperbolic time chamber -like training, then strategically-minded Gohan could have done something similar. He could have used the time dimension to optimize training + daily life. With the motivation of being as prepared as possible for any likely threats in Goku's absence.
Man I've been watching you release the xicor series and I'm an old school fan. Havent watched it for like 10 years. But this has been an awesome journey! And watching the whole thing in one go was really moving man. The background music, the way you read it and explained parts. Top notch content and really made an old fans nostalgia resurface. No relation, Kai just used DNA from cold to make frieza and DNA from goku to make xicor, now xicor and frieza share a mother or it was just babies in tubes and neither were birthed, I kinda think a God wouldn't have sex with either one and stold DNA
So Vagita trained himself to be able to transform into each of the different Super Saiyan forms instantly, which is pretty impressive and smart! And Vagita was using those forms against Xicor in Xicor's base from (or so it appears). So, if Vagita had to use his different Super Saiyan forms to defeat Xicor in Xicor's base form, then going against Super Saiyan Xicor would be overpowered against Vagita without Vagita having any divine/god ki/energy.
This is not fitting of dragonball tho. It goes too far off the story and doesn't fit. In super goku was really childish, which I wasn't a big fan of but it looks as if he may comeback more series in the later content. Moro and granolah arc

This was incredible and your delivery had me engrossed as well. I love how Broly took on the old school Vegeta role as Vegeta has mellowed out and actually taken on Goku’s role in his absence. That was beautifully written and you can see how Broly and even Xicor could potentially end up as part of the next generation of Z-fighters and more importantly, Saiyans.

Krillin is probably my fave character in DB/Z/S. He’s got so much character development as just like,,, a normal dude you know? He always manages to be somewhat useful and is always humble. He’s got experience and knows his limits and honestly I think that’s pretty baller

My favorite character being Tien, the way he turns from an antagonist and realizes his wrongs in his early years and actually becomes a great rival to Son Goku, his development from DB-DBZ was immaculate, Yet in Super his potential was wasted due to Toriyama practically saying "I don't want to play with you anymore." As he throws Tien down the drain.
Honestly Yamcha had some pretty amazing development as well

The original goal was to have Gohan replace Goku in the series after he died, but Goku was just too popular, and Gohan's passive personality didn't fit.

After the original shock and awe of Goku going SSJ3 for the first time, not much in dragonball has really been mind-blowing. Don't get me wrong, I super love every minute, but after that it's all been a matter of scale. Now the part with Vegeta's strategy of snapping from form to form only for the instant he needs each one, THAT absolutely slaps! Especially since it's not just another new power level or transformation. It's a whole new strategy. And a kickass one at that. It would have been the most amazing thing to see that going up against Jiren... he'd still lose. But it would have been amazing 😁

I've been a fan for over 25 yrs. Like many long-term fans, we tend to fall off, then have to binge watch to catch up. But the story arcs change so fast, there's no way we can keep up with all of them. Thank you for sharing this amazing story arc. Master Rosji's was a splendid death. Gohan..daggone Chi-chi. He should be way more powerful. That's the most frustrating part of this whole story. That being said, Gohan is still my man...with "King" Vegeta being a very close second. EDIT: Forget that. Vegeta is my favorite. Kakarot is strongest, but Vegeta is the smartest fighter.

What do you have against Chi-Chi? She tried to raise Gohan the best she could. As far as she knew, Goku was the strongest person in the universe, but he was never going to have a high paying job or even be the best father. She had to prepare Gohan for college and a highly competitive workforce (Japan). Gohan didn't show any aptitude for martial arts or physical activity in general. He was just a kid when he was kidnapped, twice! That shit was traumatizing for him, and for her as well. Of course she wanted to keep Gohan out of danger. Kid Gohan was nothing like kid Goku. He was drafted into fights he had no business being in. It was tragic!
Gohan's personality is so cool! He has a great degree of emotional intelligence, and that helped him see the good in piccolo, and helped him build a friendship with him. He recognized that piccolo was more his father than Goku, and paid him respect like a father.
He didn't like fighting. Who would? It was always just a game for Goku. But for Gohan it was horrifying. His life was in danger the entire time they were on namek, and he used his wits to stay alive. He didn't have the same kind of plot armor that Goku did, he experienced true terror that Goku never did on his child adventures.
I'm really glad we have Gohan to be his own character, and not a mini Goku, or the new Goku. It's really cool to see that he could still be the hero if he needs to be (cell, Future androids timeline). Chichi did the best she could as a poor (usually) single mother in a rural area. Yeah her Tsundere characterization made her super flat and annoying, but her actions had reason. Letting your child be a like... Kid avenger is actually an insane thing to do and it's amazing she even let him do all his training and fighting, even begrudgingly
Depending on which version you find online depends on Xicor's survival at the end of the story. Both end in Xicor's defeat by SS5 Goku. The other version has it that he is defeated but is later revived from death and later joins the Z Fighters upon learning the truth about his father. In truth, Xicor would eventually take his father's mantle as he always dreamed of but not in the way he originally intended. Xicor, in this version, would live on and marry to have children with Broly's own daughter Tato who, like her father, is a LSS but like Xicor...she is half divine half Saiyan as her mother is the sister of Princess Snake from Other World. Xicor becomes a major part of the Z Fighters and their absolute strongest fighter next to Goku himself. The Xicor Saga of this version is followed by the Evil Goku Saga which stems from the Ritual that brought Goku back from the Dragon Realm. As Shenron stated at the end of GT, it takes 100 years to purify the Dragon Balls of their negative energies but Goku was brought back 3 years after Omega Shenron was defeated. This had dire consequences as the negative energies within the Dragon Balls turned inward into Goku, since he was fused with the Dragon Balls, and the negative energies began to take over Goku to where he was becoming hostile and angry and bitter all the time until it consumed him entirely...making him the next story arc's antagonist. Story goes that it took SS4 Broly and SS4 Bardock to defeat SS5 Evil Gogeta in the end. Xicor had been defeated by his father during the fighting (not killed) and Gohan was turned back to his teenage version of himself from when he fought Cell as one of Goku's powers was to have the same wishing powers as Shenron, due to being fused with the Dragon Balls. But not much else is known about the Evil Goku Saga that follows after the Xicor Saga of DBAF.

Well, he (Toyotaro) used the same idea when Vegeta fights Goku Black in DBS manga. (Stay in SSG, transform into SSB in instant when attacking to conserve stamina).

I've always been conflicted about this story for a few reasons. If Frieza's mom was a supreme kai then Frieza should've been a LOT stronger than he was! Supreme kai Shin, told Vegeta that any of the supreme kais could've ended Frieza with one blow. So in comparison to her, Frieza was like a Raditz! So how was Frieza hailed as the most powerful being in the universe?!
That king cold is a beta male compared to this goku... maybe that makes the difference. One a God, and a weak mortal (comparatively). And then xicor born from a God like frieza but also a father that rivals the strongest gods. That's a pretty big difference. I agree that frieza should be stronger, but when frieza was in early dragon ball he was like a God. Hindsight 20/20, but regardless just due to his parentage, xicor should be much stronger than frieza comparatively and in order to be relevant these days against SSJ4's, he's got to be ridiculously strong.
I disagree, what we saw was frieza’s just natural power never training a day in his life, so it makes sense that he wasn’t at his strongest and full potential, and after training for just a few months he was able to become as strong as super saiyan BLUE goku! Somebody that in base form is as strong as a suppressed beerus who was able to shit on majin buu with no difficulty, frieza when he trains for such a little time became that strong so it would make sense that his mother was a supreme kai.

Thats explained in dbs. He himself said that he has never trained in his entire life coz nobody was strong enough to match his strength. Then he train for few months to reach the level where goku took to reach in his entire life till then. Now everything makes sense.
Frieza got so strong fast eventhough he is not a god and there is nobody else from the frieza race. Maybe coz he is a hybrid of kai and other species his father belong. Maybe dbs is going to move on to db AF.

So, if Vagita had to use his different Super Saiyan forms to defeat Xicor in Xicor's base form, then going against Super Saiyan Xicor would be overpowered against Vagita without Vagita having any divine/god ki/energy.
