I've been to Cuba for 6 years running we go to the playa pesquero hotel an hours drive from holguin, it's a fantastic country and I love it! We are going again at the end of July from Manchester with Thomas Cook. I love this video it's made me even more excited for the flight back
I stayed at that hotel almost 8 years ago. A hurricane damaged some of the property about a week before my arrival, but it was already being cleaned up (almost fully done so by the time I left Holguin). One advantage of this was that most of the tourists cancelled their trips there, so during much of the time I was there, just 135 tourists (mainly Canadian like myself), had the 4,000+ occupancy hotel virtually to ourselves. It was a good experience and I wouldn't mind going again.
We're flying to Holguin in September, like you with Thomas Cook (but from Manchester). What surprises me is the final approach. It's like flying into RAF Cosford but with a longer runway!I didn't expect that.
Hi there, great video! May I ask what the cabin pressure is like on this plane? I'll be travelling on this flight with slight breathing difficulties. Should I be fine??
what hotel did you stay in? i remember doing this flight 4 times on the Thomas cook a330 but we had to go from Gatwick - Havanna then to Holguin as the plane didn't have enough fuel, but its a long flight, especially when u have to get off the plane and wait at the airport for 2 hrs, they even made the airline take all the luggage off the plane, just to put them back on again! I also remember the runway being extremely bumpy, was it?
i have a trip booked with thomas cook and pre booked 13k is their no window at all for this seat (couldnt quite see from your clip but saw in your comments) i may look at changing my seat thanks
we used to fly with thomas cook when i were younger but now we fly with ryanair i cant really remember much from my thomas cook experiance except from ordering a kids meal pizza but when it came it came with spicy pepperoni and i hope they have sorted that other tahn that i liked it but i still préféré ( prefer ) ( ive just been doing french ) Ryanair
@@harleyrobertson5646 Yes, it's safe to say that he took breaks from videoing, stopping to go to the toilet, to watch movies, to eat (aside from taking a quick video of dinner first), and to sleep. There were numerous noticable skips in the video where he took his breaks. I agree, 8 hours would be too long to watch.
They only do it on low-cost and charter flights. But you´re right it´s so dumb. Do they also clap when the train driver stops at a station... No. So why do it when the aircraft lands?

omg going to the same airport, same plane and same place tomorrow!
Can't wait
I flew from YYZ-HOG in October 2008; I've never forgotten the "Socialismo O Muerte" sign painted the whole way across the fence opposite the runway.
I'm literally home from Cuba! Must have just missed ya, hope you enjoy it!
one very good flight , Thanks Matt
Hello, I heard you can see Manhatten Skyline on the trip back from Holguin to Gatwick, you need to include this on the night time return flight.
Excellent video as always Matt, great description as well, Andy

I'm going to Cuba next June with Thomas cook in premium class, how was this flight?
I prefer the look of these to the 787
I thought all the Thomas Cook A330 fleet had been consigned to an air museum because they are all old.
What a brainless comment.
@@aviationlba747 made that comment "three" years ago and I stand by it.
@@michaelflaherty1358 You thought that a fleet of still relatively young A330s would be sent to museums ‘because they are old’?
Omg 09:30 that monarch plane its so weird to think that that a321 would be in service by thomas cook
Nice video 🇨🇺
They just started service to Boston on the a332

thanks
No there's no window at all D:
ohh well i think i will be changing my seat booking then trhanks for that
was there a widow on the rows behind your seat?
conor MWH Yeah this was taken from row 14. There's one window. You do still kinda need to lean forward to see out of it.
so if i rebook for row 15 it should be okay?
This the same one you sent pictures of to Simon, chief..?
dude if you have just arrived (We have came back today ) Honestly your flight is basically delayed it takes ages for them to open the gates
I hope there is spotting video
Good video
How long was the flight
A little over 9 hours.
good job

Lilly-mae Lawton Did u no Ryan air has had 12 crashes in U.K.
@@macymcgonigle5781 Ryanair has never had a fatality, what are you on about?
So it took you 53 minutes to fly from London to Cuba!? Wow!!! Full flight lol
Death Bat115 it means the main features of the flight (your telling me you would sit through an 8 hour video?)

Takes ages for the aircraft to get to cruise altitude
zzzzzzzz🌰
5:31 what the heck is that sound
It was just the slats being extended. Look at the leading edge of the wing.
i love it
My Volvo 340's almost exactly 30 years older than this plane (its 30th is in September) :)
Airbus a330-243 😃
10:39😍
First
i hate it when people clap on landing its so dumb
Soo true lol
IKR cuase what if the plane overuns
Not really people are happy they have landed at their destination
And because they got there safe
