Amazing! This aircraft was the first A330 that Avianca Colombia received with the N948AC license plate and it is surprising how Thomas Cook has changed it. Very good video, Greetings !!!!
I cannot tell you just how white knuckled my hands were grasping the arm rests of my chair as I saw you operating an electronic device during takeoff and landing. I thought for certain that the aircraft would have turned upside down or experience some other catastrophic event. I AM JUST KIDDING!!! Thank-you so very much for the video. I find inflight videos and videos of plane spotting absolutely relaxing and enjoyable. Your video did save me $500 by not having to take the flight myself. The one thing I have to do before taking another extended flight is to find a way to sneak butter, mayonnaise, and mustard aboard to complement those most delicious meals they serve us. Please, keep up the good work. Again, I thank-you so very much, and I do look forward to seeing your next video.
Man, I remember JFK when I went back in 2000, 727's, DC-10's, L-1011, Concorde, all present and correct. Amazing how much it's changed since then. Great video Matt! :D
I flew Thomas Cook last summer from Paris to Boston through Manchester. I had a premium economy seat. You feel like you are in business class on any other airline. They even have a curtain to separate PE from Main Cabiin. Who gives champagne in premium economy? They do! Seriously, the best meal, entertainment, flight all around.
Hey I love your channel! I will be flying to MAN to JFK on the 10:35am Thomas Cook flight could you tell me what food was like and if they give you a meal AND a snack? Would I have to give them any dietary requirements or do you choose from a menu on the flight? Do they have any incentives like blankets too? Thanks!
@@TrainPlaneHub Yes, I did read about that they retired them. This video is 4 years old. There have probably been changes with many airlines now since then.
I went November last year to Vancouver from Manchester Via Amsterdam with KLM from MAN-AMS Was a 737-900 From AMS-YVR was also A330-200 was nice Aircraft and Flight and flew the same way on the way Back .
Anthony Parker pretty gruesome answer really. In the event of an accident on takeoff or landing it's for the rescue teams to be able to look into the cabin.
Anthony Parker I'm pretty sure it's also because if the airplane crashes, you want people to be used to the natural light (whether dark or bright) so they don't need to wait for their eyes to adjust to the situation. That's also why they dim the cabin lights for takeoff and landing at night.
Just to anybody Asking I flew from BHX to TFS by Thomas Cook, and the food was by James Martin. You got a free chocolate, bread, and optional drink of your choice!
I flew with Thomas Cook to New York 🗽from Manchester back in November 2018 it was a great flight there and back, (coming home from JFK was a night time flight). ✈️
Nobody is going to watch a 7 hour cruise over the Atlantic are they? ‘Full flight’ means that all important parts of the flight are shown in the video i.e. taxi, takeoff, parts of the cruise and landing/taxi.
How many times do people need to comment this on these videos? ‘Full flight’ means that it shows all of the important/interesting parts of the flight. There quite blatantly is no point in making the video 7 hours long, because most of it would be at cruising altitude over the Atlantic with nothing much to see...
What a focussed shot on the runway when the plane was turning.
Amazing! This aircraft was the first A330 that Avianca Colombia received with the N948AC license plate and it is surprising how Thomas Cook has changed it. Very good video, Greetings !!!!
I spent that 7 hours that day tracking your flight lol, so wish I could do this one day! Amazing flight video Matt, I LOVED IT

Beautiful, expected to see lots of skyscrapers on descent though lol
The plane descended from the east of JFK airport, NYC and Manhattan is west of it.
OMG this flight looks so smooth

Were those sausages? They looked alright.

11:39 FSX default A321 lol
Melon088 I only just realised that LOL
Nice video!
How many British Airways 747s fly between the UK and New York? There were 2 of them at the gates and then a 3rd one landing
There used to be 12 a day at one point. Now obviously there is none as BA have retired all 747’s.
@@TrainPlaneHub Yes, I did read about that they retired them. This video is 4 years old. There have probably been changes with many airlines now since then.
Oh my we are taking the same airline and route in 3 weeks. Hopr it turns out good
great video!
a Great video.
Can't wait for the new videos, any hints of what they are? 😜
David King description
Some American Airlines flights, 757, 737 and A321, and WestJet flights on 737 and 767 :)
How do you know??
Just a prediction
Sure it was!! 😂😉
I went to NYC just after you did, but via Amsterdam.
I went November last year to Vancouver from Manchester Via Amsterdam with KLM from MAN-AMS Was a 737-900 From AMS-YVR was also A330-200 was nice Aircraft and Flight and flew the same way on the way Back .
I only found out last month that Thomas cook flew over the atlantic
I didn't know either til now. I thought Thomas Cook flew from the UK to places like Ibiza, Spain, Greece, Italy, The Canaries.
why do the binds have to be open on landing and take off
Anthony Parker pretty gruesome answer really.
In the event of an accident on takeoff or landing it's for the rescue teams to be able to look into the cabin.
ah right thank you for your reply at least I know why now know and yes that would make a lot of sense
Anthony Parker I'm pretty sure it's also because if the airplane crashes, you want people to be used to the natural light (whether dark or bright) so they don't need to wait for their eyes to adjust to the situation. That's also why they dim the cabin lights for takeoff and landing at night.
Adam Joyce thx for the useful info!!!
Mainly so emergency services can identify a fire inside the aircraft in the event of a crash or emergency.
I went on a jet 2 a330 243
Muito bom Mesmo! gostei muito.
Parabéns
Just to anybody Asking

My turn in july same flight never been to new york so if anybody has any tips they could advice me about newyork
Was that plane that you were filming at the very start at the gate an ex Virgin Atlantic
LazyGuy222 2 no it wasn't
No, it appears they just borrowed an engine cowling from Virgin.
why is there a red section of the engine has it been transferred from a different airline
From Virgin Atlantic
The cowling was borrowed from Virgin, although this aircraft is ex-Avianca.
Why is part engine of G-MDBD red ?
Roddy Charles I think this plane was at Gatwick and it needed one and virgin has maintenance at Gatwick so Thomas cook got one from there I guess
Did you fly back to Manchester on a Thomas cook?
WestJet from YVR via YYC
I would like to see some Thomas Cook 787-8s introduced to replace some of the older aircraft. Mainly to replace the 767s and A330s.
Jo Tyers same
I'd much rather fly on an A330
Reading this 6 years later, I cannot possibly imagine a 787 in the Thomas Cook livery. Just wouldn’t look right.
2019?
Evelina Farber 2020
THOMAS COOK IS MY CITY
At the start were you sitting in the Burger King by chance
What date was this ???
adam stephenson its in the description
Trents or CFM power?
Ears popped at 39:45...
RR trents
Trent 700's
Someone took an engine borrow to Virgin Atlantic?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤣 0:38
Bermuda at 31:45
Having taken this flight (or similar) before as a cheap option, I'll never do it again. Most uncomfortable plane I've ever flown on.
The Lord same I felt that no leg room tiny window moody staff and very uncomfortable seats
THOMAS COOK BROS
I’m doing this flight with virgin Atlantic going to New York for 5 days for a drama trip
I thought it takes 9 hours not 1...
it does, he had to cut a lot :D
that wasn't a full flight form England to new york it takes 10 ish hours I've been before
WhyBringPoliticsIntoEverything?! ehm I've been and it took 10still 51mins isn't "5 hours "
No Mate. It doesn't. It takes about 7 Hrs from London. Either 6 or 8 hrs from Manchester. Hate to rain on your parade, but you are wrong
THEN ITS NOT A FULL FLIGHT IS IT
No need to get angry. No wonder why the person who posted this video hasn't responded to you.
SHUT UP
Woo 😯😎👍
I flew with Thomas Cook to New York 🗽from Manchester back in November 2018 it was a great flight there and back, (coming home from JFK was a night time flight). ✈️
gt video by the way first time ive watched a video from Manchester to the usa
hi
Nice and first
its not the full flight bruv
You clearly don’t understand what ‘full flight’ means in this context… ‘bruv’.
I hAte when people say full flight when the flight is about 10 hours and the video is only 51 minutes 🤣🙄🙄
It means all aspects of the flight but you are just far too thick to understand that.
Nobody is going to watch a 7 hour cruise over the Atlantic are they? ‘Full flight’ means that all important parts of the flight are shown in the video i.e. taxi, takeoff, parts of the cruise and landing/taxi.
Thomas cook airlines is no more. They went out of business.
sadly yes they did i think i'm still in shock over that 1
This is tripreport
''*Full Flight* ''
51 minutes long...
