    I'm seeing this combo happen, too, as more and more churches are updating their streaming system. During covid, everyone had to jump onto the streaming bandwagon and congregations were very tolerant of weaker audio. But now the differenced in quality matters more. So FOH gets a new Wing and the old X32 becomes the broadcast console. Thanks for the video!

      Yep, you nailed it. Thanks for the comment and encouragement.

    Is there a video of you covering how to go from the X32 with the main LR mix back to the wing via AES50A?

      This video should be helpful for you as it covers custom routing across the AES50 channel. ruclips.net/video/0ZhUOJxE1L0/видео.html

    You started to mention routing. I'm using 2 x32"s connected with cat 6 ethercon cable. One is for the broadcast mix, the other is FOH. The 2 work fine, but my Mac wont boot on the slave console. I had to disconnect the cat6 to virtual sound check. Have you ever experienced this issue?

      I haven’t had that experience. It’s an unfortunate extra step to unplug the Cat5 input just to run a virtual sound check. I can try to recreate it in my studio and see if it happens to me.

    Im Getting all 32 channels on the broadcast console from FOH, but nothing from the Aux in 1-6 from FOH.

      I replied to another message that I believe is yours, but this is what I would say. You will need to go in and do some custom routing to send this AUX In signal out across AES50. There are a few ways to accomplish it depending on your specific needs, but it will be a routing change. This video here is an overview of the routing screen and might be of some help. ruclips.net/video/PpeqRuPGi2Y/видео.html

    I have been looking for a good lamp for the wing. Does anyone know of one that will works? The angle in the back is really steep.

      I don't personally have a lamp that I use, but Sweetwater seems to have a handful of right-angle lamps that should work.

      I got one recently. It's actually better to use a straight connection in my experience. I got the LittLite 18x 4led 18" from Sweetwater. Works great.

    In this scenario, how would you setup a DAW for a virtual soundcheck for the FOH and Broadcast mixer? Like the idea of doing the soundcheck in the sanctuary to dial in the mix, then repeat the same process for my broadcast mixer which is in an isolated room downstairs. Do I need two DAW’s or will one suffice? Thanks

      I always record off the main FOH console so I get an accurate representation of the inputs coming into my system. You can flip the inputs on the FOH console to take in the recorded tracks and build your house mix with virtual sound check. This is pretty standard and it seems like you understand that side already. To get these tracks to flow to your broadcast mixer, you would need to change the send settings to be card on the FOH console. So , if you are sending. Your inputs out AES50a to your broadcast mix, they would normally be set to match your input settings. Once you change to inputs to card, you will have to switch these AES50a section to send the card inputs instead of your normal inputs. Make sure to flip the. Back before your live event so everything is back to normal.

    I have an X32 console as my main and the X32 rack as my broadcast. All my physical inputs are local at the rear of my main X32, my question is when I set the routing am I going from local on my main to Aes 50 on my rack? Or local to local?

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  11 месяцев назад +1

      The x32 Routing > inputs will be local and the Routing > AES50a will be local. The X32 Rack will have Routing > Inputs set as AES50a. This assumes you are connecting both (console to console) using the AES50a ports. Also, don’t forget to change the Rack to have the clock source as AES50a instead of internal.

    How do you send it back to the wing

    • @AllamHouse
      @AllamHouse  Год назад

      You will route your Main Bus out AES50a to go to the FOH console. Then you will need to select these inputs on the FOH console (presumably AES50b) and set it as an input. You can then route this from the FOH console to your streaming device.
