  • Yo whats up everyone hope you are all having a fantastic day 😀 I have been working on this one for quite a while and I'm really exited to share my results with you all, so I hope you enjoy! And just a heads up, the Part 2 where I talk about Yugioh 5D's and Yugioh Zexal will be coming this Wednesday coming up, so mark your calendars, and while you wait, try commenting which Yugioh character is your favorite. Is it one of the icons like Yugi, Joey, or Kaiba, or is it someone newer, like Jaden, Yusei, or Yuma?
    Sub Count: 289
I always try to use official art in my videos but if I accidentally used someone's fan art I apologize and hope you can forgive me. Thank you.

it'd have to be before the ending of DM which means when yugi met jaden in episode 1 of GX jaden didnt have the same skill level which means it was a jaden who hadn't fought paradox yet which shouldn't be possible if they're in the same world

Napoint, you realize Pharaoh Atem literally dueled in the movie so obviously it’d take place before the end of DM. And even so, Bonds Beyond time… time travel. This movie doesn’t specifically take place in any time because it starts in Yusei’s time, goes to Jaden’s time, and then finally to Yugi’s time.

      Solomon the Searcher
I observed everything going on under the sun, and really, it is all meaningless -like chasing the wind.
      -Ecclesiastes 1:14
If anyone could ever say “Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt,” it was Solomon. He was the hedonist extraordinaire. He went after everything the world had to offer.
Solomon was highly educated, yet he went on unbelievable drinking binges. He was an architectural genius, building the most incredible structures. Yet he abandoned God in his search for meaning in life.
The irony is that Solomon knew better. He was raised in a godly home. His father was King David, and his mother was Bathsheba. While it’s true that David had a serious lapse of faith, it’s also true that he repented and got right with God.
The Bible describes David as “a man after [God’s] own heart”
      (1 Samuel 13:14)
and he did his best to raise Solomon, the future king, in the way of the Lord.
Shortly before his death, David gave these words of wisdom to Solomon: “And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever”
      (1 Chronicles 28:9)
Essentially David was saying, “Son, you can’t live off your dad’s faith. You must get your own. You need to know the God of your father. Serve Him with an undivided heart and a willing mind, not because you have to, but because you want to. Don’t allow your heart to be divided. Set your heart completely on God.”
Initially Solomon followed his father’s advice. In fact, he did quite well in the beginning. But after a while, Solomon allowed his heart to be divided. He tried to walk with God yet dabble in sin and compromise his values. And it was only a matter of time until Solomon began to backslide and fall away.
Then one day Solomon basically said, “Forget it. I’m going to go for it.” He abandoned God, and the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes is the account of what he learned in this backslidden state.
A phrase Solomon repeatedly used in Ecclesiastes was “under the sun.” He was talking about horizontal living. It is life this side of Heaven, life without God.
Solomon also used the word “meaningless”
For example, in Ecclesiastes 1:14 he wrote.
“I observed everything going on under the sun, and really, it is all meaningless like chasing the wind”
Solomon the searcher was telling us there is nothing on this earth that will satisfy us completely.
That doesn’t mean it’s wrong to love life or have possessions. In fact, no one appreciates life more than the child of God does. And the Bible tells us that God “richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment”
      (1 Timothy 6:17)
Solomon set out to experience what most people only dream of. And in the end, it turned out to be a nightmare.

Pretty accurate. Battle city takes place the day before the end of Japanese summer holidays, which is at the end of August. The millenium world arc is one day afterwards (at least in the manga... The Anime has filler between the two so it's likely a bit afterwards) and the ceremonial battle takes place one month afterwards, as stated in chapter 336.
Also one thing to note is that, as stated in episode 53 of GX, the school years start in October for them. So it's likely from October 2004 - june/July 2007.

      @bigfish5544 7 месяцев назад +2

@@BlazeQuadZ actually, I think it's possible to narrow 5D's to a single placement. For that, we have to take into account that it takes place more than 17 years after the end of 2007, since zero reverse took place at least a few years after the latter seeing how much more advanced the technology seemed to have become. So, starting from 2024, the earliest record of a Wednesday 8 March (the day on which Jack and Dragan had their duel, three years before the WRGP), is 2026. The next time this happens is in 2037, but as you said, Ushio would be way too old to fit for that. Considering he was either 17 or 18 by the time of Duel monsters (which takes place in 1996 in the manga, and most likely the same in the Anime), that would make him about 49 by 2028-2029 (the assumed beginning of 5D's) which... Seems acceptable to me. But what is hard is to know in what timescale it really takes place. All we know is that there is a 6 months time skip between episode 64 and 65, but that's about it.
When you compare it to Duel monsters and GX where it's actually possible to track nearly every event down to what precise date it takes place at, it is a little underwhelming haha

After the 2 year Time skip of when Yugi and the gang graduate from highschool, then that means Dark side of Dimensions is taking place in the year 1998. Jaden was born somewhere around 1993 along with most of his friends and classmates like Alexis and luckily in the GX Manga, they give us their birthdates. So to make it clear as an example, Kaiba was born on October 25th 1980 while Jaden was born on August 31st 1993.

Yugi was born on June 4th 1980 and if you do the math, he should technically be 17 years old and not 18 yet, even though he is supposed to turn 18 in that year but the exact month of June hasn't arrived yet if it is taking place in March. So he's technically 17, but 18 is also technically right anyway since it's taking place in 1998, which is the year where his birthday would come up for him to be 18. Personally I always talk about the anime continuity and the manga continuity. That why I exclude dark sides of dimensions since that one goes straight after the manga ending which is very different from the average ending.
Duke apparently doesn’t work on his own shop and mai is nowhere to be seen, kaiba doesn’t recognize yugi as a duelist despite he clearly does in the anime and maybe a few things here and there.
There being separate continuities makes even more sense when you consider how different gx is from its manga counterpart.
Because of this DSOD should be avoided in these discussions.

Fact: The 1997 Yu-Gi-Oh anime is based on the manga whereas DSOD is part of the manga. The GX anime follows the DM anime. 5Ds anime also follows the The DM anime. Zexal is an alternate timeline where the events of 5Ds doesn't exist

Remember that the anime and manga are 2 difference universes. I think you're right about the gx manga take place in around 2004, but not the anime. An example could be that we see Jaden as a little boy when kaiba announces that they will send duel monster cards to space - this have to be after the original series, which means that Jaden have to be a little younger than what he is in the manga.
Also DSOD is a continuation of the manga and not the anime, so you can't compare the 2 media.
I would suggest that he starts duel academy around 2008 - which means he would probably would be born in around 1993.

Man, this is why we need Yu-gi-oh anime reboot based more faithfully on/off of the manga. The time gaps between DM, GX, and 5Ds make no sense. Yugi is a full grown man in GX and retired from dueling. So he should at least be in his 30's. But GX, according to the visuals shown in the video takes place only about several years after DM. Placing Yugi at only in his late teens or early 20's. Which makes no sense because that's way too young to retire from really anything.
And it gets even more confusing in 5Ds, which takes place in a drastically far more futuristic world than GX. But yet, canonically, once again, it's only merely single digit years because Trudge is there and Joey's cousin Jessie is mentioned in a way that implies that Joey is still in his prime a dueling. Which is impossible because most of the DM cast of characters are supposed to be retired.
Konami legit expects fans like us to believe that within just merely over a decade, the main antagonist of Darkside of Dimensions (a teenager in that movie) has a (great) grandson, named Yusei Fudo living in a world packed full of far more super highly advanced technology than anything seen in GX and Duel Academy is so drastically changed too? Yeah right!
Also, wasn't Duel Academy founded like nearly over decade before GX? That means Duel Academy had have already been a thing during Duel Monsters canonically. Which we know isn't the case since Duel Academy wasn't even mentioned at all in DM. And the Egyptian God cards that the dorms were named after were just getting discovered in that show.
There's so many continuity errors in the Yu-gi-oh anime it's not even funny anymore!

Yugioh GX (5 years after yugioh)
5'ds 20 years due to Joey's old school bully Trudger being a cop now. Kaiba corp is gone and replaced with that guy from Gx's that play cloudians company due to KaibaCorp lost its prestige after Zero Reverse, due to funding Ener-D
    5'Ds cause the timeline split
Zexal where Yusei survives and saves the world this time instead of it going to crap even more with the ending villains. Last series to even ref Yugi and Kaiba via their mons could be 40 to 60 years given the old man that could be yugi's son or grandson that had the status cards of DM and BEWD that are the only ref of them printed now
V-arc a decade after causes a Reboot removing all the MCs from previous series cus of Gary Sue being salty and replacing them with the V-arc boys
Vrains could be many more years later after or more likely just a single branch off from V-arc untouched but made due to V-arc meddling and why there is no history or refs of Yugi, Jaden, Yusei or Yuma or their monsters outside of Stardust Road cus Kaiba corp, Industrial Illusions, and such died out and were replaced with SOL Technologies

5ds tales place anywhere between 25-50 years later, but Zexal doesn't fit in with that timeline.

How does bonds beyond time exist after battle city when yugi is younger and Yusei and Jaden are the same age as they were in gx and 5ds

  • @balto2552
    @balto2552 5 месяцев назад

I dont think Dark Side of Dimensions is cannon. The technology they have doesnt appear in GX or 5Ds. Zexal is when that kind of tech makes its debut. With the dual gazer system being similar to Kaibas from DSOD but even then Kaibas was still seemingly more advanced. I dont see how DSOD could be cannon given the above reasons. However i also could be wrong.

I think everything that came afte 5Ds wasnt as good as the OG series. Till 5Ds I was really into it. The only thing I watched after were the movies. Zexal or whatever came afterwards I wasnt into it anymore.

To some extent. At the end of 5D's Season 4 when Yusei is about to stop the Zero Reverse, he has flashbacks of every character he's encountered. One of them that we see in his flashback is Paradox from the movie.

Or we can say that the anime and the manga are separate timelines and fix it all easily.
Dark sides would take place in the manga world btw.

I do recall that in Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links, during Paradox's event, Yugi and Atem contemplate that they never met Jaden and Yusei, but as they dueled, memories from another timeline where they actually met flooded their minds, pretty much confirming that DM manga and DSOD exist separately from GX, 5D's and later anime

The episode explains that at the end of GX season 4, when Judai goes to see Yugi's deck one more time, the Pharoah pulls him backward in time to sometime at the start of the Battle City tournament.
This was because over the series, Judaism had dueled so much, and seen so much death, that he'd forgotten how to duel for fun. Everything was always a duel to save lives and defeat evil, and that wasn't why he enrolled in Duel Academy.
Yugi and the Pharoah help him remember how much fun it can be before he is sent back to his original time.
