Heath was the backseat driver harassing Cathy to drive faster.
Angle, Cathy and Heath are responsible for the accident.

It was a very tragic accident. I think what made Bob feel worse is that Jimmy and Nicola encouraged Angelica to lie, keep it quite hence Bob being so nasty to Cathy thinking it was her driving and she was lying about it. I think Bob would of had more sympathy for Angelica if there was no cover up to begin with. Bob still might think other wise and speak up for Angelica..
I agree 100% he's more angry at the cover up than probably Angelica herself.

Bob acting like Angel killed Heath in cold blood, he has no right to take the moral high ground when it comes to parenting. Nicola's got a Channel Tunnel mouth on her but at least she's never abandoned her kids.
She has no trouble bath mouthing other kids though, like with Kyle, who also made a "devastating mistake", she was absolutely brutal when he was in trouble...
Yes, Bob has in the past been a trash parent. However, he does have the moral high ground in this because his son is DEAD. He has been given a LIFE sentence of grief and thus is entitled to his anger over how and why his son LOST HIS LIFE. Nicola still has her daughter even if she goes to prison, she still gets to see and talk to her child. Nicola will still be able to visit her child if she goes to prison, Bob only gets to visit his sons GRAVE. So, yeah, Bob has the moral high ground. And considering Nicola tried to cover up what her child did to Bob's son, she has a lot of nerve asking him to help her and her family.
Yeah angelica deserves everything she has coming to her nicola has a nerve to ask that of Bob but would bob say the same thing if it was cathy

I'm trying to work out how Cathy got away with it! She took the keys so surely she's as much to be blamed.
Given it was Wendy's car they nicked, and her being with Bob, it was always likely she were never gonna press charges. Any other villager's car they took likely would've been a different story, depending on who it was.
Bob also wouldn't thing anything bad of his dear daughter, his heart couldn't take another fall out

Wholeheartedly agree, the actress who plays Angel was brilliant too.
With a Mother like Nicola. Angelica was bound to rebel one day and very terribly. As Nicola has wrapped Angelica in cotton wool and put her on a pedalstall then Angelica was always going to end up like this.

There's 2 ways of looking at this one.
Bob obviously is mad with greif and anger due to the death of Heath
Angelica made a massive mistake and she's prepared to pay the price for it, but it doesn't bring Heath back. But this will forever just be a tragic accident that could've been avoided
If Cathy hadn't stolen Brenda's car! She might not have been driving when Heath died but she took the car & encouraged them all to join her. I can't believe how that has been overlooked in the aftermath. She isn't innocent.

Oh dear I think things is going to get very much worse between Hope’s and King’s families.
This is just messed up. It was an accident, she's clearly sorry and it was her first offence. I called it last week that the judge was going to make an example out of her. The guilt of knowing that she caused Heath's death is enough punishment for her.
They've written Bobs character well, this is how a normal parent would act when they are grieving, they are angry and want punishment... when the dust settles and calmness sets in, Bob will realise that Angelica is a young girl who made a terrible mistake, but is she really to blame for everything?
oh aye so why ain't he punishing Kathy then because even though she didn't crash the car she still stole that and was partly responsible in what happened and has to deal with consequences because since angel confessed she ain't getting any punishment and that includes with the law.
All 3 in the car were partially to blame each for getting in a stolen car. You can't punish the dead but you can punish the other 2 people. Judge thought losing her brother was punishment enough for Cathy. Angelica got 8 months because of mitigating circumstances and remorse and it wasn't premeditated. Brilliant storyline
How on earth has Cathy just walked straight out of this car accident looking like none of it was her fault ,it's unbelievable .Bob beggers believe the way he's gone from I can never forgive Cathy to oh well she wasn't driving so she's innocent. Now he's turned his hate on angel .who the hell writes these scripts there ridiculous ,it was Cathy's fault that heath was killed in that crash fact ,could someone let the script writers know so we could at least get a somewhat believable programme 😮

Gonna be honest, if i was bob.... I'd do the same thing. Nothing will bring his son back. Angelica would get out after a few years and live the rest of her life. Plus, her parents lied after they knew the truth. Im #teambob on this.
Bob needs to wake up. Cathy is just as responsible for this. He didn’t hesitate to believe she was driving and abandon her completely. Nicola and jimmy are at least still supporting their child and helping her take responsibility for her actions, and she is willing too do so. I’d say that is a much bigger sign of better parenting than his.

I hate this Bob, i get he's grieving... but this is vengeance and Bobs is forgetting how young Angel is, but no wonder he's going soft on Cathy being his daughter and all... not to mention not risking another petty fall out.

@OneGaurdian I get that, if I were in Bobs shoes I'd be the same... asking him to basically lie about his sons death is hard and uncalled for! But his Beef is more with Nicola and Jimmy for their cover up not so much Angel (my opinion).
But I get pleading guilty reduces your sentence I tiny bit and Nicolas plead does the same had Bob gone through with it, but doesn't mean Angel is escaping sentencing because she owned up to it, so it's still in Bobs favour.
It's only because Angelica finally admitted it, Nicola and especially Jimmy were fine with letting Cathy take all blame.
Where was the same mercy, they're now asking of Bob??

Where was Nicola's mercy when it came to Kyle and his "devastating mistake". You reap what you sow. You can't be merciless when it comes to other people's children then when your kid who you have spoiled rotten makes a horrible life changing, life ending mistake all of a sudden ask for mercy and honestly think you are going to get it. That's not how karma works.

I actually think Cathy *DID* kill her own brother & Angelina is simply taking the blame to cover her friend.
However Angelica didn't think it through because she implicitly naively thought that being only a kid, the law will go easy on her. But here's the rub. Once Jimmy & Nicola tell her she will go to prison or at least a young offenders institute for a long time, she then realises she has indirectly put herself in a catch 22 situation. Namely getting sent down for something she didn't do.
I have a feeling she will plead not guilty but will face getting sent to prison anyway.
And Cathy will open up to Bob and admit she killed her own brother causing her dad to disown her for killing Heath and lying to him and the police.

This is the most stupidest storyline ever because the is offensive to young kids as you are locking up a child a innocent child. Like why does everyone have something against our kids like me because I'm only 14 but I take offence to this.
The age of conviction in the UK is 10 years old, previously Kyle was in trouble too. (Personally, I do think that age 10 is way too low, most of EU is 12-14.)

Young people do get separate courts, and detention centres (usually).
@@Bruced82 I just completely disagree with arresting children especially my age range like I'm a good 14 year old but I sometimes do mess around out in town with friends but I'm still a good 14 year old. I'm just trying to enjoy life and get a good job.
