  • This is a pretty amazing fluid head tripod for under 150usd. It does feel a little cheap but functions pretty amazingly.

    I've had this tripod for a year and I don't have a bad thing to say about it. It's been a great little investment that's paid for itself many times over. For anyone who's just starting out or just can't afford a full priced 'professional' tripod, this is definitely the way to go.

    Tid bit. The elastic string is to wrap around the legs for transport so the legs don't open whilst carrying it. Valuable when on the run to the next location or moving through a busy area. And you are correct in saying you could also use it to tether the tripod.

    Hi! How are you? my tripod doesn't let me make up and down movements fluidly.
    What should I do? Because the right tripod thread it's very hard

    That hook thing is for keeping the leg in for transport.

    A long arm will give you a much smoother, fluid movement - nice system.

    Does it has enough resistance to make just a very small and slow panning, like the ones you will in a tech review videos?

    For the money it is a great set up though.

    WIll it work if I just get the fluid head and used it on a Manfrotto tripod?

    Nice review, can you remove the ball mount and use as flat mount for monopod?

    I bought one of these - I can't get mine to pan smoothly (the way they do in the video). If I tighten the bottom screw up tight won't pan at all. When I loosen the screw the whole head wobbles badly. Am I doing something wrong? Fluid tilt works well however.

      Peter Weatherall You have the screw at the bottom witch levels it. Then the nob that allows you to go side to side . Then the larger nobs on each side that control the up and down motion are you using all 3 screws and nobs?

      Media Unlocked I watched your video again carefully and figured out how it works (stupid me) - the screw under the head is just to level the head, but the little screw at the side can be loosened to allow smooth panning!

    Can you tell me if the head completely locks for the up/down tilt? I would like to use this for a jib maybe? Thanks.

    • @MediaUnlocked
      @MediaUnlocked  8 лет назад

      +Dave P it does but is kinda weak when a lot of wight is on it

      +Media Unlocked Okay thanks. Someone suggested spending a bit more on the JY0508 head for a base for the jib. Not sure if you know anything about that one? In your video you talk about pulling the head right off for a base for a jib, but I don't get how you get it on there or if you can still do the pan like that. Is there some kind of separate base piece you can buy? Sorry to keep asking questions...

      +Dave P It screw off of the base
