Thank you, Valerie! I’m a psychologist in Michigan, USA, with many patients who are creative by nature. I have been referring them to your channel, not only because of your interest and skills in art, but also because of the gentle wisdom that you share in your videos. I truly appreciate the calm encouragement that you offer your viewers, as well as your willingness to acknowledge your own struggles in life. On a personal note, I recently made the decision to reduce my work hours to only two days per week, in order to follow my own creative desires. I now spend four days per week writing, with a focus on writing fictional novels. It’s been my dream for many years to transition to freelance writing as a career. It’s been going very well and I’m absolutely loving the quiet lifestyle of being a writer. Thank you for the positive influence you’ve had on my own journey! I’ll continue to tune in to your videos for inspiration and encouragement. Best wishes!
Oh thank you Ethan! :‘) I don‘t know what to say, I‘m so glad these videos get referred to your patients , I really hope it helps them too! 🙏🏼 I love to hear about the dedication you have for your own passion! 4 days a week! Awesome! I wish you the best for your own journey and yes always feel welcome to this channel☀️🌱 greetings from berlin!
this was so heartwarming to read even I'm new to Valerie's community but I'm already in love with this channel and its not only the visual content but the real life advice that she gives.
This is touching! I was actually thinking to myself while watching this that there must be at least one psychologist watching and admiring Valerie for her talents and wisdom and mental and emotional health, her self discipline and commitment to her own growth and documenting her journey with confidence, lol! 😆 Both of you are amazing people. Onward and upwards to all budding and aspiring artists and creatives. ♥️
@@1969kbl Yes! There are those in this world who have a wonderful gift for helping others through their encouragement, insight, caring attitude, and calming influence. Valerie is one of those special people. You don’t always need to be a psychologist to help people along their life journey. But, don’t tell anyone or I might be out of a job!! 😳😉
11:25 "Be clear with your decisions: Yes or no." 14:23 "It feels great to hear that someone believes in you and pats on your shoulder, but that person is not always there for you. But you can always be there for yourself. " 17:42 "I hope you begin to believe in yourself more than ever, because nobody pats better than you on your own shoulder. "
@gamewrit005 “Maybe” works, too. Maybe the lecture will be interesting, so I’ll go and see how it turns out, like Valerie did. Maybe keeps your options, and your mind, open ;o)
And did you see that at the end the screen turned black, just like a mirror, so you could look at yourself and hear the “nobody pats better than you on your own shoulder”
Self-taught artists can be as sophisticated with both art and craft as people who are formally trained, and in our experience, they work every bit as hard. Who else noticed what the artist did with her tape, by the way? That's a great technique for reducing adhesive power so it will release from the paper without damage!
@@katsmith8263 We never stop picking up pro tips and hacks from artists and we are admittedly a little obsessed with them, to the point of awkwardness. Artists teaching themselves sometimes learn these techniques late so we don't think it hurts to let everybody catch up.
As an artist who was in the process of deleting all their socials because I felt like I’d never be good enough… thank you for this video. It brought a tear to my eye; we artists are so hard on ourselves sometimes and you’ve reminded me that I’ve come so far - I can’t give up. I have to keep going, and whose to say how far I’ll go? Thank you. Another incredible video!
Wow i am like you...Cant believe there’s someone like me. I also decided to delete all my art social media to sell my all art supplies 🥺.I feel you🥺.May you start again 💙
Yes don't give up. I stay away from social media for the most part. I just post and leave. You can't allow that stuff to affect you or your growth. I feel like visual artists are very underrated. I see some people who post legit great work may get only a few likes vs someone who's modeling in from of art. Not saying their work isn't good, but you can see clearly where the work went more into. So yes keep your head up. I been self taught since I was 3. Even when I feel like giving up, I tell myself not to. I came way too far. .y only obstacles now are personal issues like anxiety and depression I been dealing with all my life and more after I had to leave art college. But I'm hanging in there. You can do it..we can do it.
@@jarinartsy2767 We'll get through this, friend - even if we have to get through ourselves. As Valerie said, "Nobody pats better than you on your own shoulder."
Valerie, I just discovered your video channel and was so touched. You are the very person I needed to listen to at this time. I am 73 years old and never received much if any, encouragement in my life. I listened to the negative input from others but deep inside I believed I was different from what I always heard. I was an older adult before I realized that I enjoyed learning new things. I discovered Turkish drama and film and have become addicted to watching their dizis with English subtitles and learning the language simply by doing so. Due to many medical issues, I am restricted from doing activities that are physically taxing. I recently decided I wanted to learn how to do watercolor paintings. I am naturally attracted to colors. I love the softness and movement of the watercolors. I do not know how to draw, at all. But, I purchased some paints, and paper and began watching tutorials. I am enjoying it so much that my favorite part of each day is devoting time to my practice boards. You are an inspiration to so many people. Thank you for sharing your time and amazing talent, but most of all your inspiring words of encouragement and wisdom about life.
Dear Deborah reading your message made even me happy and I am just a stranger from Pakistan 🇵🇰 You are amazing! Love that you love watercolor too! I too have just started (7 months ago) and I am loving it
I love how you said “I was already good at painting”. Although it shouldn’t have, it still took me by surprise. I didn’t realize how ingrained it is to never acknowledge one’s own accomplishments or skills. I know this is simple but your words always stick with me. Love your videos!
@@utubestalker.dotcom thank you but im gonna say no thank you for that thought. It doesn't need any justification to be that way, much less a theory that is purely ideological and non practical. That said, have it if it works for you but hardly a necessity for anyone reading this.
@@utubestalker.dotcom I don't like these kind of thoughts very much, because lots of people tell me that I'm sooo talented and they could never. An maybe they're right, maybe I am talented, but please let's not sweep under the carpet that I've literally practiced every day to get better for years.
I love and appreciate your emphasis about making "clear decisions". The talk is boring you? Leave. The painting doesn't interest you? Pass it. We all need this reminder because we often "just go through the motions" when we really ought to move on. We only have so much time and attention, and once spent, we can't get it back.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the time, effort and love Valerie puts into editing and filming her videos. As someone who just started their art RUclips channel videos like these take so much dedication 💞🌞🌱
The fact that you chose to go against your parents' wishes and live your life the way you want it is proof of your bravery. You're so inspiring. Thanks for sharing!
@@f.s.9405 as a former female computer technician, I am baffled why she would bother doing this. It's not very interesting or hard, just tedious. Gamers and crypto farmers build computers because they need them for specific purposes. It's a waste of time and money for others.
@@Nimsrodel yeah, my boyfriend is good at building computers too but he always tell me that he just follows tutorials step by step and it's just tedious but something that anyone with some patience can do :)
I love how she vlogs her day like many other vloggers but the difference is she does not talk much about things that the whole world knows, she shows us how she gonna draw her pictures, things that not everyone knows, only people who draw know. It makes me feel interested in art although I don't draw well.
My dad is an extreme autodidact. He wasn’t in my life very much growing up, he tried his best, but he’s a huge inspiration for me.. especially growing up with traditional parents (mom and step dad) and belief systems. But he’s an architect and doesn’t have a college degree, tells me I can do anything and learn anything I can set my mind to, he’s living proof that can happen.
Omg Girl You are a blessed soul who is not just enjoying yourself infact you are teaching so many people that "HOW TO BE HAPPY" such an Inspiration you are. 👏👏👏👏👏❣️
Living in the 21st century and starting to teach yourself new things goes hand in hand and I’m so grateful to life in a time where we have access to the internet, where we built communities like this on, in Valerie’s comment section or when Valerie builds her PC and finds help and answers to every question from people who share their insight. You can learn so many new things basically for free because the internet gives you resources you wouldn’t have had in this quantity and quality even 50 years ago. When I have a question it just takes 2 seconds to find out an answer. That’s really powerful and I have to smile every time my grandma asks me how I learned to crochet (for example) and I just say “I went on RUclips and saw thousands of videos for free”. Just mind blowing
Quick tip from the IT girl - when placing RAM sticks in, make sure they are in odd or even slots. Unless you have only 2 then.. :) It speeds up access time to resources and for your graphics needs you might just need that. Good job and.. what a beautiful machine you have built! 👏👏👏 Love it.
Valerie, I rarely ever comment on RUclips videos but I had to leave a comment for this one because to me, in of itself, it is a work of art. Valerie your ability with storytelling, editing, and narration is really superb. I love your natural, calm, pacing and authentic delivery when you're speaking, and your instincts for what to film to tell your story are excellent. And here's an even bigger compliment coming from me: I love to learn and I daily take in so much information watching videos that I now have a personal practice of accelerating the speed of every RUclips video in my settings, such that they will play at 1.75 to 2.0 speed, because my brain can take it in that fast and I have so much I want to consume in a day that I don't have time for the pacing styles of today's creators. However, when it came to this video, which is the first one I've ever seen of yours, I could not bring myself to speed it up as I normally would do. This was because to me it was such a perfect balance of information, visuals, narration and editing that enthralled me within moments of it beginning and I couldn't bring myself to alter that in any way. And please let me take a second to tell you that the message, or more appropriately the messages that you shared in this video were potent, accurate, and will leave the world a better place, because those that see this will be impacted in such a positive way. My hope is that many people of all different ages have the chance to soak in your generous sharing of your philosophies and how they are helping you to not only succeed but to truly experience as you say how "Nobody pats better than you on your own shoulder". Now that quote is a keeper! I need a t-shirt with that on it (from your merch line). I wish you continued success with your art which you clearly have a huge talent for. I hope you continue to enjoy expressing your creativity through video, film, and narration as well, because your talents in those area are also clearly gifted. Best wishes. Tim
Honestly the advice and lessons you speak during your videos really opened up solutions to problems that I didn't have an answer to. It's honestly so inspiring and eye opening!
This is the channel I've been looking my whole life. Only today I found it!!!. I'm currently in med school 5th year. I myself consider as a self taught person. Sometimes I do everything in reverse order and reinvent things. Since childhood I really hated school because everything is so scripted and so organized. They don't go off limits of knowledge. It's like I love all the cool things in the world, and I just can't get enough of them.I always learn something new. I love music, pencil arts, acrylic paintings, languages,IT,mechanics, cooking, plumbing...I can go on and on.Last time I repaired back fan of my refrigerator and it worked!!!.Thank you soo much for your channel😊😇 I finally found my safe space.🥰🥺❤
You bring an enlightened perspective to the world. I hope many more people happen upon your channel. I pray that all you put your hand to is prosperous.
My first gifts in life were to be a musician and sculptor. Growing up, I felt into the society patterns and I was struggling for years looking for a direction or purpose in life. In my early 20s I faced death twice, and survive! Then I got many great jobs, got nice income but I had ZERO chance to create. I almost let my creative power die. In 2009 I left home and move to the other side of the world, got into a relationship, more stress and anxiety. But music and art was always there to support my journey. I am so happy to see Valerie and found this gorgeous channel concept. Is a combination of VLOG+ART CREATION+PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT and have like a hipnotic feeling right? Love it. Wish you Valerie the best, whatever you are doing, keep harmony for yourself. And as you already know and can see here, your heART is bringing light to thousands of people around the world...including myself. THANK YOU! I will come to help soon too. :)
I cannot put in words what I'm feeling rn this is the first time I've seen any of your videos, this is the first time I've seen someone build their own computer while being such a good artist,I'm not sure why I'm so mind blown by that, I love the way you interact,I feel like I've found myself a friend I'm going to come back to for calming down,I truly appreciate the person that you are 💜
As a parent to young children myself, your end credit made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes. I hope my children can say something to the same tune to me down the road and I can reply, "I am so very proud of you."
When something touches my soul on a deep level, I cry. And this video makes me cry. I feel so betrayed by the world and what I was told to believe. Grieving that takes time, but hearing you talk and seeing you work helps me towards that. I’m at a point in my life where I’m making a big decision, and I’ve spent a few months actively healing old wounds with a schooled healer. And it’s surfaced so many fears and so much pain. And it also pains me to watch this, because I know I have to grieve the old while I heal and continue on my true path. Thank you for helping me on that journey🧡
@@loolach811 Year and something late but I think custom build is better. Pre-builds can be cheaper but you have very little control over the choice of components, which can get in the way of upgrading something in the future. For example you could only get 2 RAM slots or get a power supply that's only good enough for the current load. That's coming from someone who changed a lot about his PC, adding parts that didn't even exist at the time of the initial configuration. What did you go with in the end? Both in terms of specs as well as pre-build vs custom.
I seldom write any comments but your channel deserves it (even if on a video that is already 2 years old but oh-gosh did I enjoy it!). I found your channel like what.. Two, three days ago? And I am binge watching all of your videos. I feel at home here in your tiny corner on the internet and I wholeheartedly wanted to thank you for sharing your journey Valerie; you are such an inspiration! Wish you have a wonderful day today! ✨✨
I watched this video yesterday and it was absolutely what I needed to hear!! I’m an engineer and currently job hunting in Silicon Valley. I had panel interviews today of 7 hours with engineers across a big tech company and I was really freaking out yesterday. I needed to do a presentation on a technical challenge that I solved inside out. I had so much anxiety around it but I felt so much better in my knowledge and my faith in my abilities after watching your video. Your video totally grounded me and calmed me down. Thank you so much for all these wonderful videos you make!! You are making such a difference in our lives! Also, as a computer engineer, I’m very impressed with your computer building skills 😊🙏🏼
I'm so impressed by you!!! Not just for building your own computer, but for the way you look at the world, and your quiet self confidence. It's inspiring xx
When I started watching your video I thought, it's impossible for her to build a pc from scratch...but then when you turned the pc On , and I saw the lights, as if it was breathing for the first time I got so surprised. I was happy for you it brightened my night...🌃
I’m about to go to bed but I literally can’t wake to watch this tomorrow!!! Seeing that you’ve uploaded makes me so happy 💗💗 you’re such and amazing artist and I love how cinematic your videos are. Always inspires me to go and create something
Who needs a driver's license when you can assemble such a beautiful machine! I am currently using a powerful computer that my son assembled 7 or 8 years ago (recently he put together a new computer for himself that lights up like a Christmas tree). I am a DIY person in many ways (sewing, knitting, gardening, watercolors, pen&ink, graphite) but only now, after watching your video I started appreciating the joy of assembling your own desktop computer. Thank you for sharing this!
Wow. Not only was my entire body covered in chills from your inspiring words, but tears of gratitude began to fall from my eyes. You’re incredibly talented, not only with art but in teaching others to believe in themselves. Thank you. 🙏
I realized how hard I can be on myself. I am glad this video remembered me to pat my back more often and remember myself that I am capable to do anything ❤. Thank you for each video you do, your videos always have a positive impact in my life 🌸.
This was one of my favorite videos of yours! You are wise beyond your years - I am 58 and I found myself taking notes of your empowering words. Keep sharing with us? You are such a blessing!
In my mid 40s and humbled by young youtubers. I wish had a fraction of her wisdom at her age, my art wouldve been at another level. Instead i wasted decades
@@mariaiqbalart if you don't mind me saying, don't minimise your time spent living. You may have not been painting in those years but I'm certain you loved, laughed, cried. Looked at sunsets and sunrises, and at any point if you felt the pull of creativity then none of that was a waste. Because now you have a huge resource to look back on. Use the emotions of those times to propel you.
@@mariaiqbalart motherhood and artistic flow don't always go hand in hand, I get it. I've 3 of my own. Sometimes it can feel like you're losing yourself to the nurturing process. It's really important to not only make time but to take time to create. Put yourself first on occasion, you'll not only be nurturing yourself but you'll be teaching your babies that putting yourself first and taking time for your passion is essential to being yourself. Good luck with it, I hope you don't mind my advice.
@@Mmothership68 you are such a lovely soul. I dont have kids so I dont have any excuses for my decadent self destructions. All I can say in my defence, I was stupid but hey I'm still in the game!
Your watercolour is really beautiful and it was lovely to watch your process and listen to your calming narrative too. It's very rare I think for someone so young to have such a mature outlook and be so very calmly focused on doing what they want. So many of us ( me too)have strayed from following our own dreams and goals. It's so important to be true to oneself and you demonstrate this in every video. I was SO surprised to see you building a computer! I thought "what's this got to do with an artistic life?" at first but of course your point is that we can do almost anything we desire with patience and focus. It's no different to doing other stuff! Inspiring...very...as always. Thanks for the visit to Potsam too! Great video. You get an A+ again from me!! P.S. Tomorrow I'm going to practice my levitating skills too! 😁🙂😍
your warm tone, passion, background music, your English accent , hearing the squeaky chair and other accent sounds...this is excellent...elegant... if you are ever in New York or Washington dc let's collaborate.
I taught myself how to make music on my computer from the moment I saw how it could be possible, and now I am on Spotify. And get this, people actually like my music. Maybe 10 years ago I wouldn’t have thought someone from the other side of the world would even hear my songs, let alone like them.
Ты божественная. Из тысяч мотивационных видео в Ютубе, впервые у меня перехватило дыхание от увиденной картинки. Я тоже рисую и теперь буду мыть мои кисти в хрустальном бокале. Это восторг, видеть твой мир.
Exactly those minutes ago, before you stopped talking 3:07 Here, I was thinking about how you talk and how beautiful your words are when you move words and draw directly. Writer John Ronald Reuel Tolkien used to paint and write and By writing wonderful imaginative books and novels that excite the mind of the reader due to the writer’s creativity, and I saw here these details in your voice while you were speaking, what a wonderful ❗🤭♥️♥️
Opening this channel is like entering a real and magical world, awakening the deep desire in my heart, and being deeply attracted! I don't know how you can create such a beautiful movie, with lovely narration, like an angel‘s painting, and help everyone who loves art and life, healing encourages them to believe in themselves and do what they like matter. Please keep doing it.
Your comment about being able to do anything you wish to do really left a mark on me. Also that you build your own PC is so inspiring and motivating to watch. I hope you have a nice week, greetings (from Germany as well) :)
Valerie; Thank you for being you. Thank you for creating and sharing these beautiful videos. They are getting me through some tough times. I am grateful to you and your kind, beautiful soul. Thank you, thank you.
Thank you, Valerie, for these glimpses of your creative life. Building your own PC? I am gobsmacked by your inherent genius. That such a piece of equipment can also have aesthetic appeal made me look with renewed respect at my 2016 Mac BookPro! My idea of "high tech" would be a Mont Blanc Pen, so the idea of building a PC is clearly not on my agenda. However, your dedication in designing a PC that is beautiful as well as functional is an inspiration. You are a gifted person but you are also a gift as a person to those of us who follow your creative journey. You are very young to have learned how to follow your own path in life. I admire that immensely and wish you the courage always to remain true to the inner voice that guides you.
God created you with a beautiful heart and spirit. Inside and outside. Thanks for shering your talent to us. Such a beautiful soul inspired us watching your arts.
What a necessary video! I don't even know how I got here. But it came at a perfect time in my life. I've been self-taught for as long as I can remember, but over the years I decided to listen more to the world around me and put my dreams aside. I'm an artist and I know it, but I often put it aside to follow the normal life of an adult. Today I regret it a lot! But it's never too late, I always come back to the same point, and I must accept who I am, what shines in my eyes and what I love to do. Thank you so much for this video. Congratulations on your PC and then tell us how this build went.
First off I would like to share that when I was around 11 yrs old I remember a teacher told me that I couldn't draw. So I stopped trying. At age 52 I decided to draw again and my family and friends were blown away that not only can I draw, but I can sketch anything into a realistic copy (I'm not sure what the art term is) I now love to do drawings for my friends of their pets as a hobby. So many wasted years. Now I'm learning to paint. Secondly, I grew up in the 70's and 80s helping my dad build computers and I've helped my teenage son several times with building computers. I know how much work it is. When you showed yours all lit up I literally started tearing up! I was so proud of you! New subscriber!!!
I wish I could like this video a thousand times. Every single thing about this video was just amazing. The setup, the narration, the artwork, the Colors, the heavenly BGM. The message was super inspiring. Thank you!
I have never praised the author or maker of the video but on this ocasion I can't help doing so. There is magic in you as if your beautiful soul manifests itself with love and care. Wish all the best and love in the world.
I love this video. I am doing so much better in my life lately because I have situated myself to learn multiple things without guilting myself into rote memorization, like school forced. I now love learning at age 25 (I finished school at age 18). I thought I'd never want to learn anything again after how awful the education system was, but I am now learning Spanish, drawing, and embroidery via blogs and RUclips. You never have to stop learning, especially when it is something interesting to you. Thank you for always providing such nice videos. It's always so nice to feel accomplished and like what you're learning really matters to your life. I also really like your painting of the boy in the woods, I have not tried painting before, but it seems very rewarding.
Love this message. I love teaching myself things; when I graduated college I taught myself CSS/HTML and some Javascript because my college different offer any web design classes. Before I traveled, I taught myself some Spanish, Russian, French, Italian, and German and it was a great experience. I taught myself cooking when I wanted to learn complex techniques, and I just won a baking competition last year. It feels great to teach yourself something, and feel confident in your own abilities.
I was a self taught architect. I was always a creative person. I worked for an Engineer and took home plans to study. It was when house plans were hand drawn on vellum. I adored my job. I created houses, additions and renovations. I also worked for a Survey company drafting. I learned to draw site plans, subdivisions, road drainage profiles and surveys. I make jewelry now and paint.
Wow I have been on this earth 69 years and I didn't know there was a word for who I am. It has been said by many that I ( Jan )can do anything she sets her mind to. Made and decorated high end cakes for my own wedding and christenings with no lessens. Crochet my babies Christening gowns. Sew, knit, woodwork, permaculture, signwriting, oil painting, interior design and much more... all self taught from just having a go, watching others work, books and recently Utube. I found your video inspiring. SUBSCRIBED.😁
I’m so impressed that you built your own computer, it’s very motivating to see someone whose focus isn’t exactly on computers do something like this. 👏🏾 👏🏾 thanks for being so gentle and spectacular.
This is a great topic to discuss! And we can literally hear in your voice the confidence and sense of accomplishment you have from this experience. Especially with everything being so easy access now, it’s important to engage with things and take on challenges.
Love how when you open and handle the door you point the camera to your hand so you can remember how it felt to open that door in that specific blip of time
I always was self learning just using tutorials and things because I'm bad at registering instructions. I never saw it as a good thing to learn things by yourself I thought it was just the only choice for someone who didn't have much money or was shy. But now I see it in a different way through your eyes.
Valerie 😩 I’m crying in my car watching this. The last sentence got me. I wish s o o o o badly that I knew any of this when I was a child or in my 20s, for that matter. For whatever reason I believed the opposite until recently. “Nobody pays better than you on your own shoulder.” Why did I believe so much that I couldn’t have what I wanted or I couldn’t be happy the way my life was already set up? I thought for sure that I needed my parents to be present and supportive-without them I’m missing out. It’ll be so much better if they were more attentive. Then that turned into me believing that I wasn’t important. That’s why they aren’t interested in connecting with me. I wish I knew that I just need me and I can create the life I want. Depending on ppl is a terrible idea and it feels so disappointing when they aren’t available. Thank you so much for helping me form a new, powerful mindset. 🙏🏽
Such a relieving feeling to have someone express similar sentiments to myself, you clearly find joy in your work and life in general, which is refreshing to see.
You know what, I really admire the way you react in the reality of life. Just keep on going because you’re such a great and calm artist. God bless you.☺️❤️🙏🏻
Just for future notice if you ever do cut a screw, I have seen where people will put a rubber band over the screw and then try screwing it out and it usually helps with building the friction with the screwdriver and the screw.

So grateful to see other autodidacts! I’ve started describing my self-teaching as being moderately expert at becoming and being a beginner in almost anything. I also had a strict upbringing in several areas, and restrictions on what I was allowed to read. But my parents were both DIYers - my mother a graphic designer and my father a musician and tinkerer. All of us daughters are self-teachers to some degree. I’ve reached the point where it seems like every new skill area I cultivate is informed by many past skill areas, even areas I wouldn’t expect a lot of relevance like between weaving and soft metal fabrication. Thanks for sharing your thoughts in an attractive video.
I'm not sure why but I love the way you format your videos- maybe it's because you give such beautiful descriptions and examples, and the videotography is stunning ^^ thank you so much for making this !!!

@@valerielin You’re very welcome! Keep your inner light shining bright! ⭐️ You’re making a difference in the world. :)

Thank you 🙌🏻
What beautiful lines
Don‘t forget to give yourself a pat on your back! 😌 Now shoo shoo go and learn something ✨

Self-taught artists can be as sophisticated with both art and craft as people who are formally trained, and in our experience, they work every bit as hard. Who else noticed what the artist did with her tape, by the way? That's a great technique for reducing adhesive power so it will release from the paper without damage!
Damnit, hi Blick. I love your carveable foam.

Dick's in the house, boyzzzz!!!
The tape is a common knowledge
Dont give up!!
keeping going you don't know who you're inspiring along the way.
You are loved. Don't give up
@@jarinartsy2767 We'll get through this, friend - even if we have to get through ourselves.
Thank you for sharing your time and amazing talent, but most of all your inspiring words of encouragement and wisdom about life.
i hope you keep this up Miss Deborah! it's very encouraging to hear that anyone can pick up a skill at any given time
man :'( I'm so happy for you
Dear Deborah reading your message made even me happy and I am just a stranger from Pakistan 🇵🇰
You are amazing! Love that you love watercolor too! I too have just started (7 months ago) and I am loving it
You're great Deborah, good luck with your new hobby!
All the best 4 u honey❤️❤️❤️
I love how you said “I was already good at painting”. Although it shouldn’t have, it still took me by surprise. I didn’t realize how ingrained it is to never acknowledge one’s own accomplishments or skills. I know this is simple but your words always stick with me. Love your videos!
food for thought: could it be that in another life you were an artist and in this life you realized that painting came naturally for some reason
Fully agree with this. It really hit a note with me. Make clear decisions.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the time, effort and love Valerie puts into editing and filming her videos. As someone who just started their art RUclips channel videos like these take so much dedication 💞🌞🌱
Yes, in general editing should be appreciated more, it can make bad or even greater something already good

Oh because she choose to spend her money on computer parts instead of a drivers licence? 😅
@@f.s.9405 as a former female computer technician, I am baffled why she would bother doing this. It's not very interesting or hard, just tedious. Gamers and crypto farmers build computers because they need them for specific purposes. It's a waste of time and money for others.

@@valerielin Aye aye, coach Valerie. Thank you once again. I hope you have a great day ahead.
Wow I never knew that! Thanks for sharing
There’s nothing that beats the feeling you get when you finally hit the power button and it turns on!
Tim
The she transitioned from art to PC building in one video was so seamless. Love it ❤️
Honestly the advice and lessons you speak during your videos really opened up solutions to problems that I didn't have an answer to.

I love music, pencil arts, acrylic paintings, languages,IT,mechanics, cooking, plumbing...I can go on and on.Last time I repaired back fan of my refrigerator and it worked!!!.Thank you soo much for your channel😊😇
I finally found my safe space.🥰🥺❤

When something touches my soul on a deep level, I cry. And this video makes me cry. I feel so betrayed by the world and what I was told to believe. Grieving that takes time, but hearing you talk and seeing you work helps me towards that. @@valerielin can i ask u a question ? Is buying the cumputer parts one by one more expensive or cheaperthan buying a normal pc ?
My daughter built me one similar to Valerie's, but mine is pink. She looks for the components separately and says it is most definitely cheaper.

Thank you, Valerie, for these glimpses of your creative life. Building your own PC? I am gobsmacked by your inherent genius. That such a piece of equipment can also have aesthetic appeal made me look with renewed respect at my 2016 Mac BookPro!
My kind of person, learn and do anything yourself. This is how you get wisdom and happiness 🥳💯
I adored my job. this is by far one of the most nicest, purest, genuine and intimate thing I've seen in this world!
I feel like every time I watch one of your videos I learn a little more about painting and a little more about living ☺️ thank you Valerie ❤️
Great for you 👍👏💪🍀😊
It was great 😊
“Nobody pats better than you on your own shoulder” while looking at my reflection on the black screen. Just want to say, Valerie, thank you. ❤
Another utterly gorgeous video from Miss Valerie, I could watch you everyday. I love your instructions to be clear, make a decision, this or that! Haha I’m a lifelong ditherer and would put everything off till tomorrow! I’m much older than you, a Grandma and a self taught watercolour painter and I adore your ‘young’ and wise advice it gives me a new lease of life 🦋🪷🐚🪸🪺

I saw the sparkle in your eyes and your smile when you turned your computer on. Thank you
I'm not sure why but I love the way you format your videos- maybe it's because you give such beautiful descriptions and examples, and the videotography is stunning ^^ thank you so much for making this !!!
Well done and beutifully done! Good for you! Learning for Life!
I love, love, love this video so much that i decided to repeat it immediately. It’s like you spoke to my soul 💕 i am an industrial designer but you’ve got me enjoying these painting videos, to a point where i think i want to just try painting one day, just for the fun and calmness of it.
i wait patiently for every upload , this one was sooo worth it ✨
"Nobody pats better than you, on your own shoulder."
This video has been just amazing.
Thanks much!
Still have no license but you've gained such a great skill and willpower that no one can take away from you.
You inspire me to require more from ME! 🌼😊🇿🇦
"you gain more from clear decisions. " I love that.
This is easily one of the most inspiring and empowering videos I've seen. Thank you!
I needed someone to remind me to pat myself on the back again.
not to sound weird, i wish i had you as a parent i feel like id be ok if i had someone like you in my life, like id feel comfortable & safe. anywho thanks for sharing all this on youtube we appreciate it

I don't know what to add to the comments honestly... there are so many positive things already!
I am so glad I found your channel.
There is so much wisdom to what you are doing. For the longest time, I felt that being creative had to be for the purpose of selling/making money, and I didn't realize that learning just for the sake of learning is enough. I have so many things I want to learn. I taught myself jewelry making: wire bending, working with semi precious stones and chain; I even taught myself yoga.
Recently, I've been wanting to learn the Turkish language, and also to paint. I didn't know that self-taught people had a name! I feel like I am understanding myself more. Thank you.
