    Great video. We have a ton of cherry tomatoes. I’ve been searching RUclips and after reviewing many video, this is the method we will be using. I especially loved your comments about leaving the pollen on, it makes so much sense.
    Thanks for the great video!

      Yes! Our society wants to be so "clean" by washing everything that they end up getting rid of some of the good stuff!

    After opening the canned tomatoes, you can always whiz them in the blender for a few seconds. That gets rid of the skins in a flash! I recently discovered 3 pound boxes of grape tomatoes on sale at my local supermarket for only $1.99 each! So guess who bought four of them and has a lot of pints and quarts of freshly canned tomatoes now? ! 🍅🥰

    Thank you so much… love the video and the information about the pollen. Just wanted to ask, how much water should I add to the pot before the cherry tomatoes

    • @lifewithaprons

      I would do about 1 cup of water to 5 - 8 cups of tomatoes. You don't need a lot of water because the cherry tomatoes will release there juices when heated. Enjoy your canning!

    Do you sterilize the jars before canning?

    • @lifewithaprons
      @lifewithaprons  2 месяца назад

      @@synabtic1 I do not typically sterilize my jars first. I know that it has been the standard in the past but there has been recent studies to come out saying that it is no longer necessary if you are processing jars longer than 10 min. This is due to the fact that it will actually be sterilized in the process of canning it with the food in the jars.
