Awesome video, man!!! Receiving mine tonight. Can't wait!!!
Love your shows Andy, very enjoyable to watch!
Beautiful job Andy! In fact you've inspired me to look into building artillery pieces.
+sorichar Thank you thats great
I just ordered this model and look forward to trying out a Trumpeter model. Can't wait to get to this one. Your video makes it look easy to build and paint.
Great build, Andy. I have both these kits in my stash as well so I am watching with interest. Great job on the howitzer
+Joseph Running III THANK YOU have fun building it
Hello, I'm choung at Korea (south). Personally I'not good at English, but, your prociation is perfect.. So, now. amazignlly I finally understand your explanation perfectly..^^ Thanks I can listen your broacast like Korean !!
Thank you
Terrific! I built the Trumpeter 17cm piece, and Merit (Trumpeter) 1:16 15cm howitzer. Both were awesome. From my experience, Trumpeter is the best.
Excellent build. It’s smaller than I thought it would be.
During my voluntary time in Finnish Army in 1988 we had still these old 15cm SfH 18 howitzers. They were used as a training guns. Those guns were painted Olive green and matt black.
What a beautiful job Andy! Thanks for share this tecniques!
+Alex' Military Models Thank you
I´ve got to try that chipping technique, and i do agree this aint a begginers model...gud job Andy...
Thank you
Great build Andy! I don't know if you're into all of the technical terms of German weapons systems, but there's a book called Encyclopedia of German Tanks of WWII by Chamberlain and Doyle that is marvelous and complete. For instance this gun is called a 15cm sFH 18, which stands for schwere (heavy) Feldhaubitze (field howitzer). But you probably already knew that lol
Watched this one again, Loved the Paint job.
Great Job. I'm looking forward to the half track that goes with this.
+burbdood Thank you
Great job as always Andy
That's turned out to be a very nice kit.....well done!
+WhiteLine Fever Thank you
Excellent model and work!
Thank you Andy for building all these models for me so I don’t have to.
That turned out great, thank you for demonstrating your technique. I have to admit it was a bit scary when you started using the toothbrush ;)
Jan.
+RollingThunderModels thank you, yes this kit is very fragile so be careful or you end up breaking a bunch of parts like me
This looks like a very well detailed kit.
Excellent channel and always an enjoyable watch. It would be handy if you could put the manufacturer kit number in the video description.
Nice to see u are using some Made in Canada sanding sticks! 🇨🇦
Another great one Andy !
+blueline308 thank you
excellent again Andy, cheers mate
+Andy Smith Thank you
hello Andy. I just watched your vid building the15cm Howitzer in North Africa. Thanks for the good work and congratulations for the end product. I just would like to comment one thing. Since the gun is in the towing position, as far as I know, the gun barrel would have been locked in a back position. As you depicted it, that is in the firing position.
Nice work Andy
+Los Piglet thank you
Nice video and the model!
+grzegorz mankiewicz Thank you
Cool video, thanks for sharing
+FineKits Thank you
very cool, I have the gun, but have the old tamiya 7ton, but I have the AFV early 88, I'm definitely looking forward to your build on the Dragon kit. if I like it, I'll pick it up, spread the love hahaha, again very cool build.
+Clayton McClain Thank you
Very, very well done!
+971michele Thank you
Love your videos. Keep em coming!
+Shawn Streeter Thank you
Good job Andy
+Adam K Thank you
That looks amazing !!!!!!!!!!
Very ice video. I don't think you mentioned but, can it be assembled in a firing configuration?
Great vid
+O Gold thank you
great job
+Time 4 history thank you
Good video
Man, I am so jealous of the Nagmachon in the background! It's been an absolute nightmare trying to find one for sale :(
A great job
Can I shop in your store online? The only store that sells Tamiya models here has a very limited range of products. Seeing the background of all your videos, I think you have way more than what my local store has
Hey Andy, nice work as alway's. My question is, what is the music you're playing ? I like it.
Godspeed...Mike
thanks for doing a takom artillery piece for Christmas i got 4 of there kits would like to see you make more of there kits .is there a company that makes a german 105 in 1/35
Hi Andy, I am currently working on a bouton Paul Defiant from AirFix and I don't have an air brush on hand and limited tools , I was just wondering, could you do that kit if you could find the time, that would be very helpful
Thanks
Nice !!! I love it ; )
+Alexandre Delprat thank you
you just gained a subscriber!
+Joe Smith thank you
How long did you actually allow these to dry in between step? Like what was actual build time you think? You made this seem really fast! Great work. This model looks like it has some great detail.
Amazing! I haven't built models since I was a teenager. I want to get back into it. I like that glue with the brush. Any tips on a good starter kit for gear?
Can you build this model in both positions, stowed and firing?
andy, good job on the howitzer. but do you have any weathering advice for a challenger 2? (no air brush)
+matt yu You can use a can to do the base coat of desert yellow and using german grey in a bottle lightly dry brush to make the scratches . the dust you will have to use a pigment like vallejo
thx
Building it in North Africa? Weird, North Africa looks just like your shop...
I am a bit jealous you make it look so easy. I always have problem building guns.
They can be a bit difficult just keep trying, you can do it.
brilliant videos Andy.
1 question.what make of tweezers are those angled ones.they look much sturdier than any I have seen.
Dear andy,
I love your channel and videos. Do you have any tips for making field guns/howitzers. I seem to have trouble.
P.S. What colour should I use for the fury m4 easy eight..
can you do some zvezda kits please ? specially isu-122 ? Thank you.
Andy, thx for sharing your builds. I like your videos a lot but somehow it seems to me, that you have to invest way to much water, rubbing and struggling to chip the white or yellow paint off. And when it finally works, it peels in off rather big areas... Do you use the Laquer thinner to thin down the color coat over the hairspray, too? Maybe this might be a reason that the paint won't come off more easily... Did you ever tried to use water to thin down the coat you want to rub off later?
firefishable if you have to scrub hard to remove the top coat of paint, you did it wrong. Either the hairspray has too strong of a hold, or you used lacquer thinner in the top coat. Best to use water to thin. Also, soaking the area on the model you want to chip beforehand helps soften the paint so less effort is required to remove.
@@mistrimeat Do you use Tamiya Acrylics in this topcoat (thinned with water) or might it be better to use a water based acrylic paint for this (e.g. Vallejo)?
firefishable yes Tamiya thinned with tap water works perfectly with hairspray. I have never tried it with Vallejo, but I have seen it done with Mission Models paint as well.
@@mistrimeat Thx... I'll give it a try.
No metal chain that instructions said to glue????
i'm sorry but your way to paste and finish is tremendous!
What was the hairspray for and what type of spray?
Hi! can i use this technique but instead i use spray paints?
hi i don't think think it will work with spray paints because they need to be acrylic
what glue do you use ultra thin or just regular tamiya cement
+Kei Haizaki I use both but usually extra thin
You'll shoot assemble 1/16 RC?
Is the metal barrel in the kid or an accessorie part and if so from what company
+Joshua sanders it is part of the kit
Andy do the Kriegslokomotive from Trumpeter pls.. gl m8
What are all the paints you used?
+Andrew Culkowsky tamiya
Kommt gut! Schau mal bei Lust und Laune bei mir vorbei .( 1:35 Militärmodellbauer. ) ich stöber solange bei dir rum und lass dir ein Abo da :)
Beste Grüße Robert
First and also, where do you get these kits at?
He has his own hobby shop
Andyshobbyheadquarters.com
+Jonathan Demyon but doesn't he have to buy the model kits from somewhere in order to have it in his store??
+GamingWithJacob342 Hi yes from our model distributors
what are those pole in 9:57 i search google but i cant find it
I believe they are ranging poles to measure height
+Andy's Hobby Headquarters thanks
They are aiming stakes. The gunner uses them as a reference point to lay the tube in the right direction for a fire mission
