IAF should make the RFI in Dream 11 app since that is the only place where fantasy comes true.
Then you should come up with one then 😂
@@ananthakrishnan6106 good one
Rfi released in 2023, then we can say that by 2032 RFI will be scraped and new RFI will released in 2035, and then by 2040 RFI will go to sleep...
😂😂😂
Arre bhai mrca ka kya hua...kabse chal raha...par close nahi ho raha...
IAF should go for local production of C390 with ToT! C390 can carry 26T,also it's turbofan powered,we can further exploit it for 360° AWACS or who knows for ISTAR as well.A cheaper platform like this, with domestic manufacturing & multirole applications seems like an ideal choice.
Yeah
100% agree with you 👍👍
Also as a Refueler
Nice 👍
Requirement is of 18-30 tones c390 can carry maximum 26 tones
Hello
Please make a video based on various Steps and Procedures followed during Defense Acquisition.
(that Cover term like RFI,AoN,Make 1,Make2,Make3,Buy Cat.,Buy and Make Cat.,Make Cat.).
Many Audience didn't aware about this Steps and Terms.
It's similar to any other procurement. Requirement analysis, Budget approval, RFI, RFP, Shortlist, Best and final offer, vendor select, negotiations on term and and Conditions, finance ministry approval, defence ministry approval, presidents approval
Then issuance of Letter of Intent and then implementation
We already have a partnership with Airbus to make C295. A further expansion of the same would be quicker and beneficial to us.. 👍
That's not Medium Tactical Transport
@@Sacrafago90 I mean A400
@Shubhabrata banerjee it's better if it's above the requirement. But the issue is the price
Sab paise ka khel hai Babu bhaiya
Great side by side comparison graphics! Made it very easy to compare different aircrafts while watching the video.
Won't it be better to buy a Turbofan engine aircraft like C390 since it gives IAF multiple options like it can be converted into 360° AWACS, Refueller & can also be basis for ISTAR. + it's cheaper when compared to A400M.
On the other hand from logistics P.O.V, Airbus A400M might suit IAF since we would induct Airbus C295 by this or next year.
One another important factor of c-390 is that it is manufactured by Brazil which also is a brics country, which does not have many strings attached as compared to usa-c-130 Or French airbus A -400 and also not as costly as frech Or Japanese aircrafts.
But where do the engines come from??
@@justentertainement4774 it is an international engine with multinational components in that engine.
@@sigma-sigma1 50% is owned by Pratt& Whitney
Bruh. BRICS is very irrelevant. There isn't much a difference in the 'strings attatched'. It's literally a transport aircraft man, if they had strings attatched then we wouldn't have bought C130J, C17 etc.
Everything comes with strings attached... You want to make some someone else's product in your country without the hassle of development and expect that they will be ok with the loss of a huge market is ridiculous. Our Russian friends don't give us core technology ToT as it would negatively affect their export potential.
Let's be crystal clear, this is begging for tech and equipment that we disguise as RFI & RFQ and other such nonsense
C-390 will be a better move 🤔.
We should go for c2 or kc 390 With tot and assembly line with local manufacturer
C2 comes with Japanese and helps in building partnerships with them in submarine and electronic and radar project and development .
C390 comes with embraer manufacturing facility with partnerships in india.
I like c2 over c390

Ideal solutions are:
Acquiring 24 C130J Hercules from Royal Airforce, from reserve stock, overhaul & upgrades can serve us for next 20+ years, also bringing its total to 36 units.
For Heavy Tactical Transport,we should buy the designs of An70 from Antonov, locally manufacture them with western Turbojet engines & subsystems,it will help us to replace the entire fleet of IL76 & IL78,as the only available option for us is IL76 MD but unavailable fuel to sanctions.
For Medium Lift Category,we should opt for C390 as Tactical Transport,120 units in total to replace entire fleet of An32 & build numbers.
48 units for Tactical Transport
12 units for AWACS with Fixed Radome
12 units for ELINT/SIGINT/EW & Air Command Centre(8 ELINT/SIGINT/EW & 4 Air Command Centre)
12 units as Intermediate Aerial Tankers
18 units as Maritime Patrol Aircraft with ASW capabilities(12 for Navy & 6 for Coast Guards)
12 units as Bombers with Pellets launching Cruise Missiles & Gravity Bombs.
8 units as Gunships
Defence Matrix, thank you for the side by side comparison.
I think Airbus A400M would be more suitable as Airbus already have a strategic partner in India (Tata) with whom they have agreed to manufacture C 295 which will ensure these are manufactured faster with lesser bureaucracy or go with C 130J as this is a battle proven aircraft and already in use with IAF.. Although Kawasaki C-2 and C-390 are tempting but they are not battle proven and it will at least take a decade just to finalize the deal as they will have to find a strategic fighter and due to the red tape.
Go for c390. It's cheaper, so we can have them in large numbers. ToT can be an issue though, since an American company has inputs in this aircraft.
It doesn't fit the requirements
Only 26ton
@@fly463 IAF asked for minimum 18 ton payload. So it does fit.
@@subhasishhore1575
Oh I see
C 130 , with option of future upgrade of turbofan engines .... Will keep the American happy and shut them up for a bit ....
the Embraer C-390A Millennium multi mission transport aircraft is more suited to Indian conditions . . . especially operating at very high altitudes across some of the highest air bases in the world . . . alternatively the air force can also opt for the Russian made Ilyushin Il-76MF-90AE multi mission transport aircraft which is a stretched variant of the Ilyushin Il-76MD-90A multi mission transport aircraft . . . although only two Ilyushin Il-76MF-90AE multi mission transport aircraft has been sold so far since it's introduction in mid 1990s . . . India's ability to provide prompt relief measures to earthquake hit Turkey shows how much our air force has evolved over the years in terms of it's strategic air lift capabilities in peace time . . . which is why the Indian Air Force could seriously do with an additional fleet of 38 - 43 brand new C-17A Globemaster III multi mission heavy lift transport aircraft . . . but such an acquisition is no longer possible since Boeing shut down the C-17A assembly line back in 2018 . . . but all hope is not lost as yet, because the air force can still opt for second hand C-17A Globemaster III multi mission heavy lift transport aircraft . . . the A400M Atlas multi mission heavy lift transport aircraft can compensate for limited capabilities of strategic air lift . . .
Modernised IL 76 is best bet imho
Good chance for us to get critical technology from Japan as they are in vulnerable position against china.....they are looking for support....Let's improve ties with them, acquire Kawasaki c2 and more....
Bhai dosti se kuch nahi hoga requirement se hoga
c2 is equipped with two cf6 engines, which india cannot find replacement in short time. Unless you can develop indigenous 60 tons level turbofan.
Unlike d30kp2 or cfm56 series, more easy to acquire and develop, that will be a big issue.
Lagta hai IAF C390 purchase krna cahti hai
But considering latest trends regarding weight of armoured vehicle of 24-28ton c390 is in very tight position.
Doubt hai Zorawar LT bhi paega kya?
Instead IAF should go for 32-40 ton aircraft. (Japanese C2)
No worry in transporting AV
Bcom a suitable platform for bigger AEWAC, refueler
ll also relief C17 fleet
ll be replacement for il76
That’s a definitive move by the IAF. Thank you for the detailed comparison 👍
Only 8 units of C 390 have been made, and it costs 85 mil… scale would further reduce price. And the range is impressive and a good blend of all parameters.
But one cannot discount the need for semblance of order in our inventory.. as far as Make is considered ..
Either Airbus or Lockheed Martin might make better sense..
Millennium is by far the best cost to performance ratio according to our budget providing emb. Shifts production line.
Here We Go Again
HAL can take MRFA circus(procurement timeline) as a example and come up with their own MTA program ASAP by using 3D printing tech stuff which china did with its Y-20 🤞🏼
Kawasaki c2 is the best option for cargo load but only of they're willing to manufacture it in India
definitely not choosing c2 means you have no choice but use GE engines. C390 may have other alternatives
Appreciate ur research and hardwork to bring us such a detailed video
C130j jo RAF use karti hai.. second hand condition me liya jaa sakta hai.. fleet maintain ke liye.
We shud go fr c390 n shud mass manufacture locally by vch its cost vl also reduce,n we can utilise its other varients fr mid air refueling tankers,AWACS,ISTAR,....etc.Export chances of this cost effective platform is higher as well.
30 tonne lift capability means rapid deployment of Zorawar
While addition of new transport aircraft is good it should be noted that China is also adding Y-20 which is a heavy lifter. IAF seriously needs to look into these matters.
A 400 M best choice now.
We can have 2 c-390 in cost of 1 Kawasaki c 2. Who will offer more technology transfer is the key.
Shayad a deal bhi 7-8 saal laga de deal hone me jaise aapne bataya drone deal ke bare me
Hourly flying costs is also a needed parameter that needs to be compared
C-390 is better option i
guess
Best option c130
Why are we thinking on playing multiple role with MTA? I mean for same purpose, we bought C-295 then why we want to pay to buy for a platform with multi purpose capabilities? Refueler, maritime patrol, rescue mission, tactical and strategic lifts bla bla bla.... Do we need 40-80 with such capabilities? I mean give a break and rethink. Think from point of view with future vehicles and machines we might need to carry. C-295 can't do that job. We need to carry FCRV, QRFV etc.. etc... But that can be done with Chinook if I am not incorrect. Though A 400 M is most versatile, KC -390 makes more sense but dig deeper into the components where it is made before finalizing. C-130 J super Hercules is most trustworthy looking into it's past but will it cater to our future requirements for next 50 years? Another point is C 17 globemaster production is stopped just like C 130 J. How will we carry big equipments? We have limited C 17 , Antonov, IL 76.So we need MTA with high capacity, so most likely C-130 J will be ruled out not sure why we want to continue with that and ask Lockheed Martin to reopen production line in India. C 130 J will be useful for troop transportation and small weapons if that's only our requirements. A 400 M seems best but are we ready to pay that much high prices? KC 390 uses 2 turbofan engines only.. So safety is less compared to A 400 M. Kawasaki is a new platform again with 2 turbofan engines so it doesn't make sense. We paid 50 mn pet unit for 56 C-295. We should not pay more than 100-110 mn per unit for A 400 M for 40-80 units under make in India if Manufacturing unit can be shared between C-295 and A400M. Let's see.
Hands down for c390 millennium ❤
Great informational video 🔥👍
I think one more issue with A400M is quality control. I spoke to someone from Pakistan and he said finding a C-130 replacement is an even bigger headache than F-16 replacement. There are multiple options for F-16s replacement whereas there are very few options for a C-130 replacement. And when they went to look for the A400M they found cracks it's in it's fuselage, this was brand new from the factory. So I've heard
Also one thing about the C-130J that sets it apart from the rest is it's STOL capabilities which are unmatched. It doesn't have the best cargo capacity nor the best speed or range, but STOL is what sets it apart from the rest
They have old C130s. We have new J versions which are more widespread and hence getting spares will be easier.
Also, it's Pakistan. They have difficulty getting food, spares will be another bitch.
@Kenshi yes I know, and they're trying to get more non American stuff hence getting a C-130 replacement is a huge headache
Also, our suppy chain is already setup including maintenance. So I don't think going for a different type of aircraft would be more time consuming

I heard Embraer is not doing very well financially. I wonder if some Indian businessmen like Ambani, Adani or Mahindra can buy stake in it (preferably majority) and shift it's entire production line in India along with it's product catalogue. That medium lift plane of Embraer looks decent enough on paper atleast.
Adani ko baksh do bhai 😂
@@caelum2185 Adani toh khud ke hi shares kharidne mein busy hai😂
Embraer is a strategic company, you can't just buy that with money. By that logic Rolls Royce Plc ( the engine maker ) has market cap of around 11 Billion USD, why doesn't Indian govt itself buy it ? Brazilian govt. will never allow any foreign entity to have any say in any operational aspects of Embraer. Heck, US itself will veto any such deal, Embraer uses a lot of American component makers, IP and Americans definitely can veto any sale of it.
@@siddharthgoyal4008 Dude Multiple foreign entities and companies ( both defence and otherwise ) hold shares of Embraer. And it's a fact they are not doing as well financially as they would like to. No one would stop some Indian to buy it's shares ( even it not majority).
If we were to select it they would shift it's production base to India in a heartbeat. If would only make sense for them to come into joint agreement with some Indian company like the Airbus did with Tata. If the money we are going to spend anyway is spent in a way that a part of it is re-invested in India then I think it would a win-win situation for us.
@@mukulbajpai6190 Embraer's financial situation is really not so good, but considering the pandemic period it has faced and its history of recovery gained since then, it has already declared to the market that it is in a comfortable situation.
Do you really believe that the Brazilian government would allow the transfer of its production lines to another country and lose the thousands of jobs it generates and the taxes collected?
Without a doubt, Embraer is willing to make agreements that are advantageous for both sides. So much so that it seeks international partnerships for some of its projects, such as the future regional turboprop and the KC-390 itself. And several rumors point out that India and its companies are very strong candidates for partnerships like this.

Presently AN32 is doing the job. And payload of that is 7MT. Same as C295. We should make more C295. Actually; HAL is behind this move.
The most wise solution is We should buy ex RAF , 13 no second hand C 130 J. And refurbished them. It will give atleast another 30 years of service life. So we'll have 25 C 130 J. That's will be sufficient for so called this 18 MT grade.
