Our favorite sweet swap out for ice cream is a low calorie greek yogurt cup, chopped fruit pieces and melted Lily's chips. Example: Vanilla greek yogurt, 1T melted PB, and 1T melted Lily's. Drizzle on the PB and then cover with the chocolate and spread over the top. Put in the freezer about 20mins and you have a soft serve frozen yogurt cup. We also like Strawberry with chopped fresh berries added and drizzled with dark chocolate. Blueberry yogurt with white chocolate drizzle. Whatever sounds good.
Great question! Quest bars can be a solid snack when looking for something in a hurry. We wouldn't make it a main staple of your diet but the high protein/fiber and mostly clean ingredients (especially if you can find their old school flavors using stevia instead of Sucralose) can be a welcome snack. Erythritol is another ingredient we don't want a ton of but every once in awhile is OK. -The FMP Team
Some great ideas in here!! Even though snacking went through a popular phase, it never worked for me, I do better with three meals, one snack only if I'm hungry. My favorite snack is Fat-free Greek yogurt (or Kefir for good bacteria), a spoon each of ground flax seed and one spoon of hemp seeds, for the healthy fats/proteins, then I'll top with berries of any kind. It fulfills the sweet craving, that perfect snack has healthy fats, protein, and fiber. My second favorite snack is toasted garbanzo beans, rinse banned beans, dry with a paper towel, toss with olive or avocado oil and spices, bake at 400 for 45 minutes. Again, the perfect snack (for me) has protein and fiber and it's portable.
You can find a lot of other great snack ideas from our blog site: www.fitmotherproject.com/?s=snacks And any that may contain nuts can simply have them removed from the suggestion, no problem. You can always sub in avocado or sunflower seeds (butter) as well. Best of luck! -The FMP Team
Great question Darlene! Unfortunately, popcorn provides very little in terms of nutrition and can spike your blood sugar with not much else to show for it. That's not to say you can't have it every once in awhile! But perhaps just not part of a daily meal plan, emphasizing others found in this video (i.e. more fiber, protein, and/or healthy fats). Best of luck! -The FMP Team
Great question! Cottage cheese is a pretty solid snack with some powerful and slower digesting protein. Ideally you would consume an organic variety to cut down on some potential worries with conventional dairy but overall a decent option. Best of luck! -The FMP Team
Eating a low-fat vegan diet is the easiest way or lose and maintain weight loss. It is also good for the heart. So many are looking for ways to continue bad behavior.

11. Greek yoghurt + protein powder (any flavour you want) + pumpkin seeds = around 40 g protein :-)
A snack I just made is: a Greek yogurt, some peanut butter, and scoop of chocolate protein powder. A little bit of a peanut butter cup.
What are your thoughts on Quest bars?I work a lot . I'm not a big eater so my go to when I'm hungry is cheese or quest bars.

What about microwave popcorn and some cheddar cheese

Sicker, fatter and dumber…sounds funny but it’s so very true. Thanks for all these great healthy snack ideas.

Great ideas, but an extremely privileged way of eating. I live in a food desert and cannot afford organic food.
