You’re right. It would probably cost a lot more to add the readers. But, it wouldn’t cost them much to implement it, charge the extra and call it the ‘Tri Charge Pro’. Then consumers have the choice of the two
@@PeterLindgren1 i've got another suggestion, since i already commented it before seeing your comment, let me copy-paste it here: one more feature a v2.0 NEEDS is a feature to fill up one battery with another one if they are both below 100%. I would implement it as a toggleable feature, but i can imagine after filming with one battery, then switching to a fresh one while the first is at like 30%, then doing that again or whatever, it could be really useful to have the two partial charges put into a single battery. this would basically allow to always have a full battery, even without needing an additional powerbank. And yes, i'm aware transferring charge has some losses so it's not always a feature that you want to use, but that's why i'd suggest having a toggle option, so that you can choose at any time if you prefer a full battery or saving overall charges
@@PeterLindgren1 not sure how difficult this would be to adjust but I would love if I could charge the input with let's say 60W or something and it would also be able to output 30W at the same time. So the batteries would still charge slowly but I could daisy chain two of these or other chargers and have one powerful charging brick but charge multiple devices/more than 3 batteries at the same time. That would be so nice
Got one for my Nikon as soon as it was available, it was even on a sale and it's one of the best parts of my kit. I just leave my batteries in it and I don't have to keep track of them. I usually carry a 120W phone charger in my camera bag so less cables to worry about and cards are always in one spot.

My local camera store in Texas had these a few months go and immediately bought it. I’ve had a problem with it a couple of times where when you plug it in to charge it stops working after a few seconds. I have to unplug it and then back in and it works fine.
I’ve had one since it was released. Best purchase of that year and it’s top quality ! Also looks cool on my desk plus Peter is such a great guy and has such attention to detail and he took his time to perfect it. Awesome product.
BTW it will pull about 27 watts from your charge source, so best to have at least a 30 watt cube or other input. These things are great. Best card reader I've tested is the PGYTech one.
Solid tip! The PGYTech Reader is pretty solid, but the ProGrade has dual SD slots which makes uploading a bunch of footage super easy to start and then walk away
Very reminiscent of the DJI Mavic/Mini fly-and-more combo triple charger. Same problem with the Sony FZ100 and GoPro white batteries. We need this for GoPro / Insta360 batteries! Currently stuffing the batteries into the stretchy mesh pocket of my PD large camera cube which seems to get in the way no matter which compartment I velcro it inside of.

I just bought it for my three Canon R5 camera batteries. Thanks for the tip! Back in 2022, for $40, I bought the ZGCINE PS-G10 Battery Charger Case for my GoPro camera that has a similar concept. Quick random question David, What's the name of the font in your video? I'm a graphic designer and i think it'll look awesome on a project i'm working on if you don't mind sharing. Congrats on 400k btw!
Mine arrived in the mail today! One thing I wish it included was a case/pouch for it, but that's just because I love pouches😅 Personally I think I'll use it to keep track of what's charged/used and what's not, so when a sd card gets full or a battery dies I'll put them in the tri-charge
I have a vague memory that Peter mentioned he thought about the card reader but the not only the cost increase but there were issues with heat dissipation from the cards was difficult to work around. Best purchase ive made in a while though 👌
That for sure works, but is much slower than a card reader's speeds. Also, with the ProGrade, I can do two SD cards at once. Which is nice to start a big transfer and walk away or crash out for the night
Peter is amazing and I bought one for my Sony immediately! It is awesome. Yes I am anal about organization and this ticks all the boxes. I do wish it had a small compartment to hold the charging cable! Peter are you here? So much easier than the single chargers that ship with the bodies. Thanks David for highlighting this product. I do love the card reader idea too!
That would be amazing if it had a bidirectional usb-c cable built in! There's a bunch of powerbanks that now have the usb-c cable built in, so definitely doable!
Throwing the batteries in loose makes them fit amongst all the other bits. The batteries with the build in USB port are where it's at. You can connect them to a power bank in a bag.
While away from home for a photo-trip I carry a second charger as a backup in case my two battery charger fails, gets damaged, etc. Also while in safari my dual battery charger is charging in the vehicle and dust is a major issue so I wouldn't keep memory cards in this charger. Also if this breaks down you have no battery bank.
Cool product, but how long does it actually take to charge the batteries? Is it as fast or faster than your wall charger? I imagine it is slower given that it’s using a USB-C charger. Is that correct?
Neewer has had a similar product out since last summer or maybe before. When I purchased my a6700 last summer I looked for dual chargers for the NP-FZ100. I went with the Neewer Dual Charging Case. Like the one you demonstrated it acts as a case, can be a powerbank, usb-c charging, and SD card slots (only 2 slots). It also includes two Neewer 2280 mAH batteries (they hold up as well as the Sony one). All this for a third of the price $45USD vs $129USD. If you don't need the extra battery slot (2 bay vs 3 bay), the Neewer is far less expensive and just as capable.
What if…. It had its own modular power pack that attaches to it? Enough to charge all 3 batteries at least once. Or you can buy different size battery packs for light weight carry or bigger packs for more power. If it was designed to slide into the back of the charger it wouldn’t even need a usb port. Just makes the connection while clipping together
@@PeterLindgren1what if… I buy it when it’s ready?? Everytime I shoot a wedding there’s always the stress of wondering if you’ll be close to a wall plug, 🔌 and is the wall plug even reliable?? A self charging case with no cables would be a dream!

@@PeterLindgren1 it’s very much needed as the Sony standard charger is a total joke! The card holder spots are genius too. I could see myself stashing my full wedding cards in there so I don’t mix them up. Love this product and yes I would love to support your efforts!
They should have added modular options as charging plate for different brand batteries, another battery as power bank built in the base so you have extra power that can not just charge other stuff without draining camera batteries and keep the batteries charged up without power source, so you keep using replacing them in the case. Just like airpods do.
If you only knew the cost of adding more things to a product! i'd love to implement all my ideas to this, but the cost for each feature skyrockets quickly lol.
put some permanent stickers on every battery and write one number on each one. 1,2,3,4,5,6 and use them in order, so when you get battery No2 out of your camera, you know than battery No3 from your bag is fully charged. This thing needs a lot ofn space in the camera bag

I bought something similar on Amazon a few years ago for like $15. It does all that AND is an SD card reader. It’s currently $20 on Amazon. Why is the one on the video $130?!
I watched five or six of "review" videos regarding this charger, trying to find some charging information before buying the charger, and none of the videos include this one mention input watts and charge watts/rate for each battery, that's probably the most important information about a battery charger, and nobody talks about it. (there is no such information on Jupio's product page either, just wonder whether it's marked at bottom of the charger like most of other charge do?). the battery holder function sure is a great idea (that's why I wanted to buy it), but it has to be a reasonable good charger or better a great charger considering the price since this is a battery charger first. Charging three batteries at same time is great only if it's faster than charging one by one in total, that's why charging wattage information is so important, but there is nowhere to find. Plus nobody mention the output watts when talking about the power bank function either. if it only outputs 10w or 12w (5V/2A or 2.4A), it cannot charge most of today's smart phone if the phone is dead, and it sure cannot charge the Sony camera directly either.
Nice work on the 400k. Multi chargers are nothing special. I have one with interlocking modules so you can mix and match the batteries in one charger. DJI has been putting out triple charger cases for a long time with a place to store cards.
@@barryobrien1890 That's the most recent action camera, wouldn't say that that's a long time. Anyway, there was nothing like this for Mirrorless Cameras when i started to work on it!

David, I like your videos - but this one...I don´t know. Being so impressed about a simple charger? Event though it can hold some cards, it is not like e re-invetion of the wheel. Also it seems to have only two connectors to the battery, without an data-exchange for intelligent loading. That would be real cheap stuff.
And i don't try to hide it lol? I've loved the triple chargers from DJI ever since i tested the first one, that's why i was baffled it didn't exist for regular cameras.
A couple people have said this already but this is a rip off of a DJI accessory they include with their Fly More Combos. I guarantee that's where he got the idea.
@PeterLindgren1 Well, it's a great idea regardless of where you got it! I didn't get a chance to read the specs yet, but will it consolidate partial charges of the three batteries into one? That's a great feature if it does!
I think what people don't realise is that ive been using my OWN funds to bring this product to life. If i could implement all the things i wanted, i'd be bankrupt in a heartbeat lol. But i'm absolutely working on stuff for the next version

I'd love to see which DJI charger that has the possibility to store cards is, could you link it?
The pocket 3 triple charger has space in the lid for 3 microsd cards. Just look at any review @@PeterLindgren1
@@PeterLindgren1 sorry the action 4 triple charger can store 2 cards
@@barryobrien1890 That's the most recent action camera, wouldn't say that that's a long time.
Anyway, there was nothing like this for Mirrorless Cameras when i started to work on it!
@@PeterLindgren1 yes. The Chinese knockoffs also include a card reader now. Newegg has the Fujifilm one.
CITYORK Intelligent charger NP-W235 for battery for Fujifilm X-H2S, X-H2, GFX 50S II, GFX 100S, Fujifilm X-T4, X-T5 Camera, VG-XT4 Vertical Battery Grip
It's also available for different cameras
David, I like your videos - but this one...I don´t know. Being so impressed about a simple charger? Event though it can hold some cards, it is not like e re-invetion of the wheel. Also it seems to have only two connectors to the battery, without an data-exchange for intelligent loading. That would be real cheap stuff.
Still can't get in india
Great product ... if it would work with panasonic 🙃 ... powerbank, do not make sense .... then you might as well use it as a hammer.
Oh, the BLK22? It’s available now 🫡
It needs pass through charging and an actual battery bank inside
It is quite big
So basically the exact same thing that DJI do with their drone batteries? Probably where he got the idea from if you ask me.
And i don't try to hide it lol? I've loved the triple chargers from DJI ever since i tested the first one, that's why i was baffled it didn't exist for regular cameras.
really it would be worth 150 as it is?
With all that it already replaces, absolutely! Add in the reader portion and I would pay $200👍
DJI have had this for ages🤨?
That's where i got the idea.
CF express cards are too expensive and most people don’t need them.
A couple people have said this already but this is a rip off of a DJI accessory they include with their Fly More Combos. I guarantee that's where he got the idea.
Yeah, of course i got the idea from there.
@PeterLindgren1 Well, it's a great idea regardless of where you got it! I didn't get a chance to read the specs yet, but will it consolidate partial charges of the three batteries into one? That's a great feature if it does!
DJI already made this a longgg time ago for their drones....
Yes i know, that's where i got the inital idea.
I like Peter, and think this product is awesome, but come on dude 😂
There’s been a PD usb c quad charger on Amazon way before this for less than $50
I think what people don't realise is that ive been using my OWN funds to bring this product to life. If i could implement all the things i wanted, i'd be bankrupt in a heartbeat lol.
But i'm absolutely working on stuff for the next version
Eh,i rhrow 5 batteries in a old school LL BEAN backpack and whatever else i need
Copied from my DJI drone batteries.
Very happily so!
its expensive
Waiting for insta360 GO3S full review and tutorial best settings specially in low light
This is awesome! Definitely on my radar now, tnx David.
