I feel like this movie didn’t get enough credit. The cgi was pretty good, music was just gold, and for me I liked the storyline! This was a fantastic movie I wished more people saw

The first film's plot was designed to serve the concept, whereas Legacy's plot was designed to continue the story but swap much of the original's dual worlds analogy for the emotional father/son character arc. The original film felt like it was looking to the future, where Legacy with it's dusty, abandoned arcade and old-man Flynn feels anchored to the past. But that's the challenge with sequels. Trying to develop the both the concept *and* the characters. I would have prefered if they had opted to explore the possibilities of the digital universe and bring in new characters who were there to serve the concept, rather than make the story revolve around Flynn.

this is the first “adult” movie I saw with my dad. i remember sitting in the movie theater and feeling goosebumps on the back of my head for the first time in my life while hearing this song. 8 years later I’m still here and feeling those goosebumps. I’ll always be thankful for my dad for showing me all those amazing movies video games and music, even though he left us
I saw the first Tron with my dad, it amazed me at the time and I am glad he made the effort to take me. legacy was a great sequel and the music is sublime. I am glad you saw it with your dad

Amy Daft Punk are freaks of nature. Absolutely love them. I'm certain they'd be exceptional in any musical medium. I'm thankful they chose electronica. Its a gift to all of us.

The tracks literally flow with the visuals that are making up every scene. That was on purpose and shows the mastery daft punk has with connecting sound to visuals. There must have been some awesome chemistry between them and the visual artist as well obviously.

I Can't imagine a movie worth watching for it's soundtrack ALONE, and I'm a self confessed audiophile. I couldn't believe it. It's the first hard core deep movie since the original Matrix. Where the Matrix was exploring the concept of "Reality", Tron explores the idea of "Frontiers" and their importance to the human condition. Strikes me as Beautiful.

My theory behind the Tron universe concept: There are 3 types of entities in The Grid, which are the Programs, the Users and the ISO's. With that in mind, the Programs represent the typical programs you would find in a computer whereas the Users represents the users of said programs, whom are us humans. The ISO's are the building blocks of the Tron universe as they represent files that are powerful and capable of running stuff like operating systems and the like. Kevin Flynn decides to try and translate the biological information us Users have within ourselves. He achieves this using a precise laser that is able to decode and translate said information into a program format but with different characteristics as compared to regular programs. What he achieved is quoted by himself in the movie as "bio-digital jazz". C.L.U. represents a program created by Flynn but went rogue due to the introduction of artificial intelligence that's is close to the sentience of a actual human. He then finds a way to replace the ISO's purpose which is to help upkeep The Grid. Once he achieves this, he rids the ISO's by purging them using viruses which are his henchmen because he wants all that control and power of the ISO's to be under him. Quorra is the last remaining ISO within The Grid. Being the last ISO, she is extremely valuable but insignificant because her powers cant outweigh that of which C.L.U. possesses. The vehicles used in The Grid represent a connection made by one Program/User to another which aid the Program/User find what they're looking for. Hope you enjoy this interpretation of the Tron universe...btw this is limited to the Legacy film...will update when other ideas come into my mind
CLU didn’t go “rogue”, he’s sticking to his original programming, to create the perfect system, because programs are just that, they can’t change, they aren’t organic, spontaneous, adaptable, capable of evolution. CLU, Tron & Flynn we’re creating the perfect world, within the perfect system, then the ISOs arrived & changed everything, CLU’s original programming wasn’t updated & he continued to follow his programming when he killed all of the ISOs, Flynn, a User & Human, is capable of adaptability & imperfection, & so accepts the ISOs as perfect as they are, because that’s what humans are, perfect in our imperfections, unlike programs. CLU is literally in able to come to terms with that because of the fact that he is simply a program, not a sentient being.
I listen to this soundtrack all the time! then I got in trouble for listening to it all of the time and all most falling asleep but the loud parts woke me up then I would fall back asleep then wake back up😁

He then finds a way to replace the ISO's purpose which is to help upkeep The Grid. Once he achieves this, he rids the ISO's by purging them using viruses which are his henchmen because he wants all that control and power of the ISO's to be under him.
Quorra is the last remaining ISO within The Grid. Being the last ISO, she is extremely valuable but insignificant because her powers cant outweigh that of which C.L.U. possesses.
The vehicles used in The Grid represent a connection made by one Program/User to another which aid the Program/User find what they're looking for.

CLU didn’t go “rogue”, he’s sticking to his original programming, to create the perfect system, because programs are just that, they can’t change, they aren’t organic, spontaneous, adaptable, capable of evolution.
CLU, Tron & Flynn we’re creating the perfect world, within the perfect system, then the ISOs arrived & changed everything, CLU’s original programming wasn’t updated & he continued to follow his programming when he killed all of the ISOs, Flynn, a User & Human, is capable of adaptability & imperfection, & so accepts the ISOs as perfect as they are, because that’s what humans are, perfect in our imperfections, unlike programs.
CLU is literally in able to come to terms with that because of the fact that he is simply a program, not a sentient being.
this movie is is ultimately underrated. my favorite non-marvel disney movie for sure!

I listen to this soundtrack all the time! then I got in trouble for listening to it all of the time and all most falling asleep but the loud parts woke me up then I would fall back asleep then wake back up😁
