Never understood blindspots when i had lessons. Always felt lazy to check them. Yesterday i had a collision just because i didnt check them properly. This video helped me and blind spots are really important.
Bro your videos are perfect. By far the best visuals on any driving lesson channel. The POV camera, the animations, and the multiple angles just make it so much easier to understand. Love the effort bro it pays off
ive been driving for 33 years , and ive never totally understood the blind spot.thanks for the great video. i just ordered some little round mirrors. thanks again!
I’m much older, and I’m trying for a license for the first time. I really appreciate this instructor. The advice and many videos that he has provided are very helpful. Thanks so much!
i m jus learning how to drive at 48 yrs old n my instructor said i m slow learner cos i m old and suggested that i give up….but i m not giving up i wanna try my best 💪🏼💪🏼
@@ConduiteFacile Wow, that makes me feel better at getting my license at my age. I studied and practiced for the written exam and got 32 out of 35 questions correct. The road test I made sure to check my mirrors before turning or changing lanes, signaled at least 3 sec ahead of time, and came to a complete stop at intersections. The examiner said I did great!
More & more people are heavily relying on the autonomous/ semi-autonomous car technologies; while the technology increases road safety standards, it does not necessarily eliminate risks. It’s important to do basic safety checks while driving. This is the best safety video on blind spots, hands down! More people should watch this, it will help prevent and reduce accidents!
I agree. We rely too much on technology these days. And not only in driving. How many people know the phone numbers of their family / friends by heart nowadays? Just tap the name in the contacts.
Hello! Your videos are great and so informative! I’ve watched them many times. You’ve inspired me to start driving more. I live in New York City so drivers here are extremely aggressive. Can you make an entire video dedicated to driving in a busy city? Clarify how to get around double parking in streets, aggressive drivers, parallel parking, bicyclist, pedestrians, traffic. The more I watch your videos the more confident I am driving. I already have my license but I’ve had a lot of fear driving here in New York. But your video especially with fear has calmed me so much. I’m very thankful for your videos. Thank you so much!!!
I got my license 15 years ago, but I saw your video. Man I learned so much and also refreshed. So good 👍 videos. Keeps me as a safe driver. Thank you. Best videos ever.
Thanks. Just failed a test because of not turning my head enough. The two videos of yours explained the importance of doing so. Now I will practice more while caring for people around my car. Thank you again for saving me the trouble.
Gosh THANK YOU SO MUCH. I never understood why I had to turn my head to check even when it’s a side walk. You’ve explained it so so well! Thank you so much🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 it really saved me from a lot of yelling from my instructor 😮💨
This is incredibly helpful and informative! I was absolutely under the (wrong) impression that checking blind spots was mainly used for changing lanes. Thank you!
This video is amazing!!! I started my driving lessons some days ago and I didn’t quite understand when I was supposed to look at the blind spots. I will follow your instructions very well!
Many thanks for your beautiful and fruitful guidelines, I saw lot of your videos like as driving in bad weather, raining, night time and so on. Thanks for your conributions.
I am older trying to practice to get my license , I watch most of your videos it was so very helpful, you are doing great in explaining details ... thank you very much
I believe in addition to all those notes, you have to change your lane or exit parking slowly, so you will have the chance to get back to your previous position to avoid the accident., thank you for the video
Even my driving instructor didn’t tell me I had to check blind spots before turning. That may be another reason why I failed my road test the first time. So thank you! I have my road test tomorrow so this will definitely help
I'm glad I found you here in youtube!I'm having anxiety everytime I drive,I had 6 lessons already and I still don't think I can pass my driving test. You're explanations are better than to my instructor lol thank.you for these videos!I'll keep watching this until I do.my test!Yay!😊
Took the driving license and dont know what the blind spot is and how can i check it lol, today i was about to make an accident on the 2021 Mercedes s class that i dont own but thanks god my friend told me it’s a blind spot so u cant see it on the mirrors you have to check the window of the way ur going , so thank you for this video I really appreciate your time and effort
Thank you so much! Excellent video! I watched part 1 prior to my first interstate trip. I really wanted to see part two also, but couldn't find it. But anyway, I was checking the blind spot the way you are teaching, during the trip, to try to get into the habit of it. Tomorrow I'm making the return trip. I was so happy to see Part 2 pop up for me to watch! Thank you again!
Great to hear this from you....I have a major problem in changing lanes and my instructor tells me that I don't check the blind spot the correct way..thank you so much for this video...I hope I will be able to be a better driver if I keep watching your videos...I really love the way you explain in all your videos. God bless you abundantly
I suggest putting the blind-spot mirror on inside bottom. It covers blind spots close to the car where you need it most. The car door mirror should cover all the road in the lane parallel to you, your main focus. If you have the blind-spot mirror on top left (as you have) it becomes an obstruction/distraction in itself!
Maybe too much. I sometimes spend so much time on little details that I begin to think I'm crazy. But then I think: no, details are important. Or maybe I am crazy. Glad you enjoy the videos.
this is super informative!! my dads been teaching me which is fine, but he’s never really said anything to me about blind spots. I’m going to start looking at them now because I wanna take my test soon
Thank you very much sir, you’re the boss. I almost had an accident today because of the way I adjusted my left side mirror. But thanks for uploading this video because now, I can finally adjust it correctly.
this video was helpful i studying for the permit test and getting mine license all over again i know every years they change the rule and add stuff to it
I like your RUclips videos. One topic I don't see covered: Hills. How should drivers manage hills? For example, when going towards or away from downtown Montreal on St. Urbain or St. Laurent, there's a hill to drive up or down. What should drivers do when it's wet or snowing?
right now i am in the process of getting a car, and this is the one thing i ALWAYS DO is check my blind spots. Even though during my driving lessons, their cars had the blind spots mirrors, but still out of natural habit just like doing blind spot checks.
If done correctly, and used correctly with your turn signal, pointing your side mirrors outwards works well for lane changes and merging, both actions requiring quick but smooth decision making. You shouldn’t expect it to work as well for other tasks. Pulling out of a parking spot generally can be done more slowly and you have all the time to look at your blind spots. Reversing into a parking space is best done with your rear view camera because you only have to focus on the screen. Most blind spot mirrors take up space on your side mirrors, instead of simply using your entire side mirrors for looking at what’s behind you. Avoiding cyclists and pedestrians is an entirely different task, and should never depend on your side mirrors alone. In my experience, the best blind spot assistant is Honda’s Lane Watch. Unfortunately, it only works on the right side. Also, it has been discontinued. Kia now has a system that projects blind spot right in front of you, eliminating the need to turn your head.
The most reliable thing was the Blindspot Monitoring instead of having to turn my head everytime. And yeah in my old car which was a 2018 Hyundai Sonata, it had Blindspot Monitoring and I was driving in the snow once and the Blindspot stopped working for a while but when it stopped snowing, the Blindspot went back on working and I’m really loving the Blindspot detection system.
Watched all your videos cause I really find they're the most informative here in RUclips. Kudos and keep them coming sir! Quick one about the blindspot mirrors (little circular ones). Where's the best place to put them within the side mirrors? Thanks!
The top outward extremity (top left on left mirror, top right on right mirror). But that will depend on the shape of the mirror. One thing's for sure, towards the exterior.
Can you do a video on how to turn in a turning lane or multiple turning lanes and the way you should hold the steering wheel while doing that plus a video with on how to position your car seat and steering wheel in a car to prevent discomfort while driving. Thanks man I really enjoy your informational videos they come in handy. 💯

First of all, thank you for putting in so much effort on making these videos they have been helping a lot and always well explained!! I have a question about checking blind spot: Do we, or why do we have to check our left blind spot when turning left on the left lane with a green light, when the roads to the left is the traffic of the opposite direction?
First, they still require it at the exam in some places, second, there could be other reason users there (cyclists, rollerblades, skateboarders, etc). It depends on the situation, but there are some situations where checking it is really useful.
